- Here is my find of the year...perhaps even the DECADE! I hope it's not the last good find. A non-working pinball for the low, low, price of: I'm not telling you! With some quick diagnostics this find goes from broken to working!
Since I'm not one to leave out spoilers, it was the power supply that needed to be rebuilt.
Big thanks to NEMike and Heath ( / @gilbertgottlieb1274 ) for their remote help!
What a great pickup. Game show is good clean fun. Quite fancy one myself. Enjoy.
Awesome...I picked up a cheap, kinda sorta working Game Show about 3 years ago, and restored it. Kids love it
I think I love it more than my kids. My kids are hooked on the Neo Geo at the moment... Particularly Aero Fighters 2!
GOOD FIND YOU’VE GOT THERE!!!!! THAT PINBALL MACHINE IS SO 2003!!!!!
Great score! Can't believe to see the cabinet is unfaded. The reds on the cabinet are almost always fully gone on these.
Thanks!! It's a fun one!
Nooooooooooooo Trolley Dolly 2k....woman down woman down...medic!
Great stuff Tim, i hope you bought that bloke a crate of beer or something mate!
LOL...I like that nickname... Trolley Dolley 2k!
Lots of charmin beside the work table, nice!
My wife wasn't going to be caught without TP ever again! She will probably forever hoard TP until the day she dies
Nice pickup! I have a Game Show as well, and love it. I also think the game has more to it than other more popular System 11 machines that people tend to give more credit to. I noticed the chaser lamps weren't working on your machine (the marquee style lights above the playfield in the back of the machine). These are usually dead in almost all Game Shows (they were on my machine as well). It can be pretty tricky to narrow down and there are a few threads on Pinside about it as well. After like a year of on and off attempts to fix mine I finally did. I made a video on it but never uploaded to youtube. I can't remember off hand which connector was the issue, but if you can't figure it out I'm more than willing to look back at my old videos to look it up. Either way, enjoy! It's a fun game :)
I got the chaser lamps working! It was tied to a bad GI connector! Good eye! Maybe I filmed it? I'm playing catch up with video footage!
Take good care of her! I've got dibs if you sell it!
Nice find, Tim.
Thanks Peter! I've got another cool find that I'll share soon...by soon I mean hopefully in the next 6 months!
You need a Hakko desoldering gun. Lol. nice repair.
I'll take donations! Some day I'll get a desoldering station!
@@ThatTimGuy I don't have a Hakko DE soldering pump either. I have a Aoyue DE soldering pump and it works pretty good for a knock off.
In your next video could you please show the serial number up close? I want to put in the pinball serial number data base.
I can add it, which database is THE database to use?
Get that cheap Chinese desoldering gun from eBay S-993A Usually it's around $110.00. Works just fine. Get the 2 additional size tips from banggood around $13.00
Thanks Carlos! I'll check that out!
@@ThatTimGuy welcome...
@@ThatTimGuy sweet pick up by the way.
Hmmmm wasn't there more problems with the game that you didn't show in the video?? ;-)
Good thing I've got like 2 or 3 more videos! We covered the main ones, fuses, power supply, leaky batteries!
