#4 is amazing dude... Calvin Johnson is ridiculous. Running the other way and jumping/reaching back at the same time and one handing it... that is incredible, you can't complain about that.
i think #2 was the most difficult catch to make, amazing. i've also always been a huge fan of the calvin johnson catch im glad it was on there. nice video!
@@thejelliedpumpkin8976 haha when I was younger, like 11 years old I watched this video multiple times and this song was in my head all the time nonstop XD.
I still remember that Antonio Freeman catch, that was pretty heartbreaking. I think it was Campbell (or something?) for the Vikings, and he got dropped like a rock after that season.
Nice job! Yeah, Swann's catch in SB 10 could very well be there, but fact is, there have been way too many great, great catches in football history to narrow it down ot a top 5 that even 10%of fans would agree with. You did pick some good ones, so no complaints here. Swann's was big especially considering the stage.
great list! love the song i think all of the catches were placed perfectly. mabey a little debate between 1 and 2 but i think u did pretty good on the video love the song. 5/5
I was at that game they ended up marking the ball on the 1 after the review. One of the best receivers I've ever seen it was sad to see him go down in the Florida game. ROLL TIDE!
@clyons81 I'd like to think it was concentration and the result of his outstanding athleticism. He was in position to make the catch and still did so with the defender blanketing him (which drew a pass interference call). He played through the defender and got two hands on it. Not only that, he maintained possession through a flip. Go see some of his other highlights- he wasn't a lucky WR, he was a pure, explosive athlete taken before his time.
That Freeman catch was incredible...I watched that game line and when I saw Freeman get up and run to the endzone, I said, "did he actually catch that?!"
IMHO I think Freeman's catch should have been #2. it almost looks like the catch for alabama wasnt even a catch. but thats just me. the #1 catch tho is insane! btw plz get a football song. i like the song you have, but a vid like this should have some sort of pump up song. (ex. remember the name, welcome to the jungle, etc.) just my opinion tho.
I thought for sure the immaculate reception woulda been on there. Ah well, better to see stuff I haven't seen. Was #2 a failed interception? Anyways cool video. Not just another video made by a biased fan.
Finally! Another person that doesn't think David Tyree's Super Bowl catch was the greatest thing since sliced bread!!!! and yes the "Improbable Bobble" deserves to be right were is was, but I think the Alabama catch deserved #1 cuz he didn't catch it behind his back, he caught it while "hugging" the defensive player, haha, but overall nice, this vid is one of the best "Top Catch" vids ever
The thing about "the catch", not doubting it was a great catch, but this is top 5 catches of all time and that catch was so great because of the magnitude of when it happened. Same thing with the Tyree catch and the Santonio Holmes catches. Great catches but when it happened made it better than what it was. Good list.
When you remake this, you gotta have the one-handed catch Marty Booker made against the Lions with a defender draped all over him in there somewhere... that was insane. But overall, great vid.
who saw the catch in the panthers away to tamper bay game last monday...i think it was the tamper bay wide reciver it was a sik catch for a touch down diving away from the way he was running and caught it one handded....awsome!!!!
Not my choice of music, but it's not like it ruined the video. sweet catches, though i think the last one got beat by a catch a couple years back, I'll try to find it and post a link on my next comment so you might want to reconsider.
If im not mistaken number 2 (catch around the defender) still doesn't look like a touch down. Knees down as he has possession just before the ball broke the plane. Either way great catch.
ah the imaculate reception. the great catches in the steelers history with various players. then there were the catches by rice. then there was brette farves great throws ...it goes on and on
I watched that Packer / Viking game...As a Bear fan I enjoy watching the Pack lose. Especially at home. Then the fantastic concentration of a Mr. Freeman ruined everything. F'ing great catch. Hats off to the Pack.
Moss gotta be in the top 5. Yea there great but your putting up luck crazy ctahcs once in a life time for those dudes , u gotta make insane catchs 24/7 like...... Moss!
@PWNSTAA The very reason the immaculate reception was such a great play in the first place was that Franco Harris managed to catch the ball. Harris' lightning fast reflexes allowed him to catch that ball and helped propel the Steelers to 4 superbowl wins in less than a decade.
great vid i honestly think that the packers catch shld b higher up o and its funny the #2 catch his name is PROTHRO it shows it at 1:57 o and also his knees were down befor he was in the endzone but they still gave him a touch down
Good video with a lot of cool catches, but not the greatest in history by any means. Franco Harris' "Immaculate Reception" and David Tyree's Super Bowl catch needed to be on there. Good video, bad title.
Um Calvin Johnson's catch was sick, being able to run like that then stop completely, jump and palm a bullet one handed is pretty impressive. Also, how would Protho's catch be overturned he was down at about the two yard line with complete possession of the ball? I hope your not saying it would be because the ball touched the ground because it's college football and he knee touched the ground first.
this shows that the greatest catches of all time, like the BEST of the BEST, u need luck on your side. lol Yeah, u will have great catches of course, and its all skill, but the best catches... once in a life time. incredible.
Those were all amazing, but if Odell Beckham was in this(which would make this a top 6 video), he would make #2 easily. #1 was right were it should be, but I think 3 should switch with 2 and this would be one of the best videos on football ever. Just pick a different song.
It may not Match up to some of your favorites but the 2008 Jets Pats game I believe Jerrico Cotchery caught a deep bomb one handed nearly dropped it but he reached out, and held on to it.
@Intergalictic the only thing with that catch is, When did he really have possession of the ball lol. they ruled it he had possession when he was over the end zone
gotta update this and put that kid from north carolina's behind the back while still running in there, great vid tho except one, the Calvin Johnson one
@lovethecupcake1 It was a catch and he did have control of the ball. He didn't pin the ball against the defender, he caught it with both hands. It only came loose when he hit the ground in the endzone, but his knee hit the ground on the 2 so he was down and the play was already dead.
Dude I watched this when I was 9 years old(when it came out) I’m 21 now and I still like to come back and watch this video from time to time
same. this was the very first youtube video i ever watched
Same here man
Same! It's amazing how memorable this video is.
#4 is amazing dude... Calvin Johnson is ridiculous. Running the other way and jumping/reaching back at the same time and one handing it... that is incredible, you can't complain about that.
Huge packers fan and I remember Antonio Freemans catch. Monday night football and we beat the vikings with that catch. love it.
i think #2 was the most difficult catch to make, amazing. i've also always been a huge fan of the calvin johnson catch im glad it was on there. nice video!
This is the first youtube video I ever watched, like 10 years ago lol
M Name Yo same, I was 9 in 3rd grade and developed my first love for this sport. I bought this song on my IPod because of it haha
@@thejelliedpumpkin8976 haha when I was younger, like 11 years old I watched this video multiple times and this song was in my head all the time nonstop XD.

Antonio Freeman's catch was freaking epic!!!
This was the first youtube video i ever remember watching and the song was in my head all the time because of this video lol
Great Vid man. No matter what theres gonna be debate on the best catches ever. But decent music great quality. Definately a five star here.
great list!
love the song
i think all of the catches were placed perfectly.
mabey a little debate between 1 and 2 but i think u did pretty good on the video
love the song.
5/5
There is a new entrant to this discussion with Odell Beckham Jr.'s catch last night against the Dallas Cowboys
#3 had the most value though considering it was OT. I remember watching that. The Monday Night Miracle. All great catches though.
I was at that game they ended up marking the ball on the 1 after the review.
One of the best receivers I've ever seen it was sad to see him go down in the Florida game.
ROLL TIDE!
@clyons81

#3 is probly my favorite catch of all time. I also love 2 and feel so bad that prothro got injured
this vid always gives me those chills, especially # 3 cuz im a packers fan! :) nice vid!
wow those were sick. 1 and 3 were my favs. 2 was sick too. and 4 was a nice heads up catch. and 5 was aight too lol
Dang I remember this video one of the first videos I have ever watched on RUclips now the top 5 catches is way different
This video is truly awesome! Thanks for posting it.
3 is the best. It went from being a pick to one of the greatest catches of all time, against our rivals the Vikings, to win the game in overtime.
FOR SURE...BEST CATCH EVER!
To this day, I still can't believe Tyrone Prothro caught that ball. Unbelievable.
IMHO I think Freeman's catch should have been #2. it almost looks like the catch for alabama wasnt even a catch. but thats just me. the #1 catch tho is insane! btw plz get a football song. i like the song you have, but a vid like this should have some sort of pump up song. (ex. remember the name, welcome to the jungle, etc.) just my opinion tho.
freeman catch = one of the greatest packer moments in history.
I thought for sure the immaculate reception woulda been on there.
Ah well, better to see stuff I haven't seen. Was #2 a failed interception?
Anyways cool video. Not just another video made by a biased fan.
I just wanted to thank the creator of this video for all he’s done for me
i love this video, this ios the video i subbed you on! This is my 12 time watching it!
i love number 3 that was the best...it was against their rivals in OT to win that was sick
Finally! what about the Adrian Arrington super catch, or the Charles Woodson one handed pick against MSU? Definitely worth a look if nothing else.
LOUSY video quality but GREAT CATCHES -- really outstanding catches. Would be so terrific if it could be done over with better video quality.
great video! I think 5 and 4 switch and 3 and 3 switch. Awesome video. Great song.
would like it more if you used motorhead's overkill but its great man i am messin with u
who saw the catch in the panthers away to tamper bay game last monday...i think it was the tamper bay wide reciver it was a sik catch for a touch down diving away from the way he was running and caught it one handded....awsome!!!!
what about charles woodson interception against michigan state???
That's always been one of my favorites.
these are sick how did you get them
Great video. Props man.
I still cant belive number 2 though...
Not my choice of music, but it's not like it ruined the video. sweet catches, though i think the last one got beat by a catch a couple years back, I'll try to find it and post a link on my next comment so you might want to reconsider.
The most amazing thing about this video is that you managed to turn five ten second football plays into a three minute video.
thats like my favorite video i love the song great job
great video, and good song, but the clarity was bad, i could see like only one of the catches
All those were amazing catches, although I wouldv'e had the Tony Champion 1989 grey cup game catch in there somewhere.
If im not mistaken number 2 (catch around the defender) still doesn't look like a touch down. Knees down as he has possession just before the ball broke the plane. Either way great catch.
great video. Number 4 was sick!
Wow i remember watching #2 on ESPN's top ten plays! haha of course it was number one..
number 1 was just plain sick!
cool vid, what was up with that music tho?
ah the imaculate reception. the great catches in the steelers history with various players. then there were the catches by rice. then there was brette farves great throws ...it goes on and on

They all were amazing, except for Johnson's... What about "The catch" by Matt Davison from nebraska against mizzou?
@PWNSTAA The very reason the immaculate reception was such a great play in the first place was that Franco Harris managed to catch the ball. Harris' lightning fast reflexes allowed him to catch that ball and helped propel the Steelers to 4 superbowl wins in less than a decade.
Probably because the ball actually hit the ground
daaaaaang! that was AMAZING i saw num. 3 & 4 but they wer coool
really nice collection maybe not the top 5 ever but REALLY great catches
#3 Antonio Freeman was the best game ever and amazing catch
Antonio Freeman
god i love him
that couldnt hav been more perfect
I wish u did this vid with the ACTUAL sound of the games. I really wanted to hear the reactions of everyone there.
I dunno...good list...but what about Swann's Super Bowl catch or The Immaculate Reception?
great vid i honestly think that the packers catch shld b higher up o and its funny the #2 catch his name is PROTHRO it shows it at 1:57 o and also his knees were down befor he was in the endzone but they still gave him a touch down

AWESOME VID plz keep making and by the way you shoulda put Edwin Baptiste from morgan state catch on there jk jk jk jk
awesome
SWEET video dude awsome catches
1:20 is sick bro.......videos good but can use better music
I remember seeing #3 live and just being too confused at what I saw to react at the time. :P
that has got to be some of the most insane cathes ever !
Those were all amazing, but if Odell Beckham was in this(which would make this a top 6 video), he would make #2 easily. #1 was right were it should be, but I think 3 should switch with 2 and this would be one of the best videos on football ever. Just pick a different song.
This song won the #1spot on top 5 gayest songs ever...
the last one is funny cuz it looked like he was break dancing good vid i liked it
The Alabama catch should be before Moore's but this is one of the best lists I've seen in a while.
It may not Match up to some of your favorites but the 2008 Jets Pats game I believe Jerrico Cotchery caught a deep bomb one handed nearly dropped it but he reached out, and held on to it.
#5 if im not mistaken that was Mark Ingram senior in the superbowl? amazing catch but #1 was just lucky
i would put the hakeem nicks UNC catch on there. theres so many great catches out there
dude it is amazing, great vid
Well number 1 was also just luck, but to have the presence of mind and awareness to gain control of either ball in that situation is still phenomenal!
These are awsome catches but I think the immaculate reception should be in the top 5.
@Intergalictic the only thing with that catch is, When did he really have possession of the ball lol. they ruled it he had possession when he was over the end zone
Love the Freeman catch. You couldn't script that in a movie.
#3 the best catch ever even tho it was lucky it wasnt like the ball was magically placed in his hands he still had to get control and run
i agree. also agree with frogman. also killdora... i know at least number three was nfl... it was packers vs. vikings.
the first three catches where the best ones awsome!!! 5/5
gotta update this and put that kid from north carolina's behind the back while still running in there, great vid tho except one, the Calvin Johnson one
Good video which is the name of the song?
If it was a Super Bowl, That cathch would be THE greatest play in SB history
Thanks for posting... I enjoyed it...
Favre to Freeman should have been #1.
I still remember watching that play live...
david tyree's catch should be up there
of the hemet how often do u see that
I think these catches are amazing, and they all deserve their spot, but the Tyree catch should be up there. Mainly because of the scenario.
#4 is Calvin Johnson when he was still at Georgia Tech. Now he's beasting it in the NFL
Just look at that Antonio Freeman catch!!!!!! SICK!!
Should have done top 10, just cause there's quite a few nice ones like Lynn Swann's.
WHERE IS THE EDWIN BAPTISTE CATCH?!?! lol
nice vid
idk about the last two catchs but I think the Green bay Minn catch was crazy.
Maybe one of the crazy catches by Oronde Gadsden could have made it into this top 5.
@lovethecupcake1 It was a catch and he did have control of the ball. He didn't pin the ball against the defender, he caught it with both hands. It only came loose when he hit the ground in the endzone, but his knee hit the ground on the 2 so he was down and the play was already dead.
Sick vid Antonio Freeman = God. Btw terrible song choice for this lol
I don't know, man, John Jefferson had quite a few badass catches back in the day with ASU and the Chargers. Maybe that's a little before your time.
