I actually think they should've killed off Henry Green in this game as a way of showing Evie and Jacob how there is no mercy or room for error when taking on the Templars. Syndicate just missed that impactful moment that every Assassins Creed game before it had. Henry Green, the leader of the London Assassins, him being killed after his capture would've impacted Evie in a way that would've been good for the game.

They would've needed to set it up better cause the way he was captured in game was pretty underwhelming

Personally, I would've liked more emphasis on the relationship between Jacob and Jack.
It's all but stated that Jacob practically raised Jack since he was child/pre-teen. Hell, Jacob refuses to fight Jack even when Jack clearly has no such morals. Also, I would've liked an expansion on the idea that the warden introduces: Jacob was the real mastermind behind all of Jack's actions. I find this section really interesting because we're given no indication at all that the warden has any connection to the Brotherhood, besides whatever his relationship with Jack is. The only way he could've come to that particular conclusion, within the bounds of what the story gives us, is if Jack himself told him he was continuing Jacob's work.
Does this make sense? No, of course it doesn't. Jack is clinically insane; he can not distinguish reality from fiction, his leaps in logic don't need to make sense. Speaking of Jack's inner world, when we play as him it's relatively silent, aside from a few mumbles and odd noises here and there, but the world outside of his head is extremely muffled, impling he spends most of his time and actually only cares about his inner world.
This would've been a perfect place to explore his dynamic with Jacob. They could've just had Jack hallucinating/remembering Jacob's old lessons, and then reconfiguring them to fit his worldview of what's happening around him.
The basic beats of the story don't even have to change, just make it more obvious that Jack's understanding of the world around him is unreliable. You could even recontextualize the opening scene by having Jack beilieve that he is SAVING Jacob from something. Again, Jack's leaps in logic don't need to make sense to be effective. This would then allow the writers to finally settle on Jack's motivations when it comes to London. He wants to rule through fear, because he belives fear is the only thing that gets you respect, and he wants to make sure what happenined with his mother can never happen again.
Anyway, great video! Sorry I went on a bit of a tangent about what I would've liked to see. Maybe it's the part of me that loves a good family tragedy. Anyway, please let me know what you thing, that goes for anyone scrolling through the comments as well!

I enjoyed the DLC. Could have been better, yeah, but I think it did bring the darker tone that the original story needed. Also, I wish you could have used the gadgets in the main story or at least have the costumes to run around in

    Excellent video!
I’m glad Jack was tied into the Brotherhood for 2 reasons, firstly it was nice to have an antagonist that is not a Templar but a threat from within (cough what Rogue was meant to be cough) but also it then helps explain the real world reason for his identity not being public knowledge
I had often wondered if Jacob was meant to be the Ripper, maybe over a decade of trying to rebuild London on his own after Evie stayed in India caused him to lose his grip on reality, and would further benefit the theme that the twins need to work together and their separation is a weakness, building on the main game. An interesting angle that would have needed a decent amount of setup. Even if this was the road they wanted to take for a red herring then the opening needed to be more ambiguous.
I love this DLC, it nails the atmosphere of the Autumn of Terror specifically and works as a great continuation for the Frye twins from the main game, I wish we could have seen more from them in further games, perhaps in a mentor role for a new protagonist at the turn of the century.

Could you do a character analysis video on Haytham Kenway at some point? He is one of the best characters in the entire series
It's just a shame he didn't get his own game, which is what AC Rogue should have been instead of Shay Cormac, who I personally dislike.

I will forever cringe at hearing "Jack the Lad".
Why not make Jack, I don't know, a son of Jacob but keep the mother a patient of a mental institution? At least there would be a real tense realization of who tje Ripper is and why he cares for the Creed
