PSC Highlights YES that game seems to have been forgotten, the fact my Tigers had beaten at the time number 7 ranked Tennessee that was led by Peyton Manning
34 points in the fourth Quarter, I remember watching this in the middle of the day on christmas eve the most random game ever lol, turned out to be amazing
@@pschighlights I've done a study on this. Momentum (based on second half and 4th quarter scoring differential) doesn't carry over into OT in college football. The play call was trash though. Fade routes are only okay in a small handful of situations and this wasn't one of them. Especially since they threw it to like their fourth best receiver.
@John Kelley I'd run a pick play like Clemson against Bama in the 2016 title game. Use a big bodied receiver to create space for the guy with the best hands. There's a good chance the refs don't call it a penalty, and if they do, you just kick the 30 yard extra point and go to OT.
Do the game where Nebraska caught the touchdown on the last play of regulation vs Missouri 1997. The ball kicked off the foot of someone and a random Nebraska player caught it for the TD it was crazy I was at that game. They ended up winning in OT. This is a great finish but look up missou vs Nebraska 1997 it is crazy.
For April fools next year, you should have a title like “The most underrated comebacks in CFB history” and make us watch a team dominate waiting for the other to come back and win, but they never do 😝
@@pschighlights Here's another idea for a April fools joke: An underdog vs a big team, and we simply wait for the dominance of the underdog which never happens
Harvard vs Yale last year was crazy. Yale trailed, recovered on onside kick, tied the game with less than a minute. Double overtime, no stadium lights. Sit in protest at half time.
I loved this game, I remember I had just gotten kicked out of my parents house and was living on the streets/ staying with friends trying to figure stuff out so I could get back into highschool. I remember watching this at my friend Aaron's house. Him, his sister, his parents and I. Lol we weren't even fans of the teams just trying to watch some ball
@@robertolebron2296 I got into a lot of trouble with selling and smoking weed... I ended up couch surfing for a little bit and was homeless for like 3 months... Finally was able to go back home and was lucky enough to be able to make up my school work during the summer so I didn't get held back.
@@christianrichardson8956 Respect for getting your shit together and getting back on track a lot of people wouldve just gave up with life if they were in that situation
I remember this game very well. It was Christmas Eve and I was sick as a dog laying on the couch. I was thankful to have a CFB game to watch since I was not going to move off the couch at all that day. When the game got out of hand I fell asleep, then I woke up just in time to see the crazy play at the end. I'm not a fan of either team, but once my grogginess wore off and I saw what was going on I got excited. Then I got pissed at WMU's coach for not tying it up and going to OT where they certainly would have won it with all that momentum.
I remember watching this with my oldest brother. I stopped watching in the 3rd quarter and resumed watching at the end of the 4th. I've never stopped watching a game early since.
This is one of my favorite games of all time, and I haven't met anyone face to face who actually watched the entire game. I feel so privileged so witness the whole comeback
I remember keeping this game on just because there was nothing else on tv, then the 4th quarter happened, and then I told my sister to come watch the last play. and when Central Michigan scored on the hail mary+laterals we cheered loudly. We were so angry that they decided to go for two and lost lol
When I think of Central Michigan, the first thing that comes to mind is them beating Oklahoma State by that lateral a nd that commentator losing it lol.
@@BigPapiCapone Because a game can end on an offensive penalty so after the intentional grounding it should've been over. Instead they fucked up, CMU got the ball and obviously hail mary after that
I sat down and watched this whole game from start to finish and I kept watching even when it got to 49-14. I have no idea why. This is the only game not involving my team that I've ever kept watching when the score was that lopsided. It was like the universe was telling me something special would happen.
2014, just watched this bowl game randomly waiting for my Buckeyes in playoffs. Couldn’t believe they actually pulled it off, or almost did a 35 point comeback in one quarter
I’ve started researching for it. The only problem is that there will probably be a lot of teams I can’t find footage of their game. But I still might do it.
What other throwback games or compilation videos should I do?
Best recent games ever from true freshmen
most shocking upset Stanford USC 2007.
Hear me out!! Memphis VS Tennessee in 96
JackarotVA definitely doing that one at some point.
PSC Highlights YES that game seems to have been forgotten, the fact my Tigers had beaten at the time number 7 ranked Tennessee that was led by Peyton Manning
We would be talking about that Hail Mary and laterals more often if they got the 2 point conversion and won
True true, but I don’t see anyone talk about that comeback they almost made.
Because they didn't make the comeback duh. Even if they kick it and tie
Peter Harris well no shit, even if they do tie it’s not like they didn’t have a shot of winning in overtime
I watched this game live. It was nuts. I'm pretty sure this was one of, if not, the first bowl games.

I love that Lou Holtz and Mark May are announcing. Reminds me of the Final Verdict segment on College Football Final back in the day
I remember watching this live! I'm not even a CMU fan, but I was so pissed at the coach for not just tying the game and sending it to overtime lmao
Fr, they had all the momentum they definitely would’ve won in OT.
@@pschighlights Agreed
Me too. I know for a fact that had they just tied it up, they would've won in OT. Nothing can change my mind about that

Btw I’d recommend starting the video at 9:48 if you don’t want to watch the whole thing👍
