Especially in their albums NIGHT TIME, BRIGHTER THAN A THOUSAND SUNS and BEYOND THE GATE. I don't know all of KILLING JOKE's music but I will go through it all. Their earliest albums sound so different from this music.
Still remember hearing this song for the first time on Album 88 (Georgia State University's radio station - used to be one of the best in the country until the administration ruined it) driving on I-75 in Atlanta in 1986. I was immediately hooked, bought the cassette the next day and played it until it literally wore out. Atmospheric, spacious, mesmerizing. 30+ years on it remains one of my favorite albums of all time; at the age of 53 I still get lost in my head listening to it.

Oh yes, and at 3:36 "No God has answered prayers here (except ourselves)" is the most concise and effective reply to all religions of Planet Earth.

This is my favourite off this album and the album a gem in their ouevre. The background synths remind me of my other favourite A Southern Sky. Although now I feel like a hypocrite coz I equally rate Rubicon and none of them were even singles
We would rather see the EU divided in a week and then played United kingdom deal with each fragment individually it's obstruction of Nations we have filled those modern weapons the side of European soil and it says European superstate
