I lived about ten minutes away from Northwestern in high school and let me tell you, unless you have family in the city or some pressing weekly obligation, you ain't getting into the city often. The only reason I even got into the city at all was because of church and a couple of school field trips.
theres a ton to do in the suburbs if you look for it, prior to what I thought in highschool. When I was in highschool, all my friends wanted to do was to take the cta to chicago because they thought the suburbs were for older people lol
@@caseyweisman3259 No, this was years ago. I didn't have a car in college so I took the "el" or subway which isn't expensive. Having a car in Chicagoland is worthwhile though as it's much easier to get around.
I didn’t know northwestern was in Illinois because I only heard about UChicago being a big university Illinois Edit: I’m saying this because I was born and raised in Illinois
Of course it's possible. Elite colleges in the U.S. typically have a good percentage of international students, but you will be held to an admissions standard that is roughly comparable to every one else. The fact you are international might make it slightly easier, but top American colleges won't take you unless you're an exceptional student or some extraordinary circumstance. So it's a question of your background and scores.
The guy that walks by avoiding say hi... Funniest scene ever!
Me IRL every time I pass strangers.
I went to high school with the ginger
The "waiting to cross Sheridan Road" hasn't changed in 30 years...

It's a matter of choice. When I was an undergraduate there, I went into the city pretty much every weekend. It's there if you want it.
@@williamtell5365 was it expensive/difficult/time consuming to do so?

"I've never had a job in my life."
"I'm scared of people of color."
No one likes the damn quarter system.
TheZestyCrocodile what is it
Cameron Clark instead of semesters, they separate by quarters like winter quarter, spring quarter, etc. Means more tests but smaller tests
wtfs the quarter system?..
most schools have semesters but northwestern breaks it up into smaller semesters, 4 times a year called "quarters"
I went to NU and graduated two years ago, but I can't help but wonder why everyone is white in this video.
I was just making an observation. I believe you are in fact "making a fuss" by responding in this agitated way.
I'm actually applying here this fall. Did you enjoy your time here?
this man really said why are there so many white people at northwestern lmaooo you answered your own question. its northwestern.
