Considering the huge, and expensive to rectify, issues this same generation Boxster had.. yeah I'd take the Merc all day thanks. It might not be as upmarket or as sharp but the Merc is less likely to drive me straight to the poorhouse. Porsches are also only for people who forget the KdFwagen existed.

Better looking that a Audi TT which just looks fat, even though I usually love Audis and better than a Z4 which looks too much like the past generation. Not as good to drive I admit but than again its a Merc so comfort comes first with that great interior. If I was looking into one of these cars this one would be mine.

so you've gone from maybe getting it to definitely getting it now? you do realize that even IF any insurance company will cover you the insurance will cost more than the car right? and that this does 20ish to the gallon so it costs a fortune in fuel as well not to mention servicing and maintenance costs.

It was never designed to be an outright sports cars, also most are the 7 g-tronic automatic so the position of the pedals wouldn't apply...
