That cutting went so smooth - you know what you are doing, the corral system works so well, love the black flag and paddle, much better than the whip we had . You have set up the shoot to work so well with just you. The Galleger is amazing. Got a kick out of the fact the calves didnt care too much. Job planned , well done FTR.

Great video Tyler. All your work on the fencing is paying off. Also it is great to see that data collection on the cows and calves is easier. I assume that this data can be downloaded to a computer for storage and analysis. And your commentary illustrates how the data collection can be used for better management. Great to see all this. Thanks for sharing.

You must be so pleased with the new corral set up. Love the data you are accumulating with the Gallagher scale. It will be so useful when you look at the genetics of sires and cows and look for which mommas produce the best calves. Next years crop should be VERY interesting with Rivet as one of the sires.

Arrowquip marketing has been given my recommendation for you to get a sponsorship! I like the Arrowquip equipment that Sonne Farms and Our Wyoming Life have.
Farmer Tyler, I just talked with a salesman from Arrowquip. He will be talking to the marketing department about my recommendation that Arrowquip work with you on a new chute! Good luck, as I said in a previous video's comment (when you were discussing the modifications needed on the chute), I like the Arrowquip setups that Our Wyoming Life and Sonne Farms have. Great results with the calves. As you were talking about how from now on their diet will be hay, it got me to thinking about Pete with Just a Few Acres and how he spreads composted manure over his fields. I know he has a means of collecting manure and wonder if you have thought about doing that and perhaps improve the quality of your hay even more? Just curious. If you ever need a cheap old hand to help, I’d love to come shovel poop, help with butchering chickens or whatever. Really enjoy your videos

I throughly enjoyed this video. What a beautiful herd of cattle 🐄 you now have. Very healthy and looking and weighting fantastic! Every year you are making more and more great improvements to the range. This year the mamas will be able to touch noses with their babies. Something they haven’t been able to do in the past (not that I know of anyway). You can tell that they are all very healthy and happy. Thanks so much for sharing, and working on the videos as you work.

Having weight data allows FTR to make some useful decisions. For example, concerning the low weaning weight calves, should they go to market now or should he feed them in hopes that they will catch up? Hay is a limited resource and it could be more beneficial to only feed out the best weight gainers. Also, the data could help cull out those cows that consistently have low weight calves. FTR is going to be burning the midnight oil studying these numbers!
