This contest mode encounter was so fun. Tight timer, tight execution, but simple premise. You feel like seal team six on cocaine while doing this. Hard to imagine what normal will be like if you have no timer.

Unless it actually is heavy mechanic focused, you’re killing a thing, dunking a thing, taking a buff/debuff or standing in a thing. There’s so much you can only do with a game of over 10 years. Maybe players are being dramatic for views, but by now you would think players can easily breeze through these encounters 2k+ power and over. Now WOW has some hard ass encounters that make you think… Also at this point only the hardcore playerbase still plays this game so
isn't one of the main philosophies behind designing dungeons that they should be feasible to do solo? between gotd and wlr's ungodly health pools and the ridiculous time constraints on this first encounter, these days bungie just treats dungeons like mini raids (and those already existed, they were called raid lairs, and they were vaulted)
i've soloed the first four dungeons largely blind and it was an absolute blast, especially goa, but after that (i don't know how feasible it is to solo duality and sotw since i don't own the witch queen dungeon key) that experience has just been lost for the average gmnf-level solo player
@@camelat7228 duality and spotw are both pretty easy solo, spire is just really tedious because of the mechanics and the final bosses insane health pool. Duality is really easy if you have a decent solo damage rotation.

Oh boy, I absolutely *love* timers.. Idek why it's called an enrage timer when it's actually a wipe timer. Like if it was 7 or 8 minutes, to be adjusted for contest mode, it'd be fine, but 6 minutes is too short.
The goal is to dunk 3 nukes in the center terminals. Kill the brig at the start and the door you see in the video will open. Just follow the path and kill everything along the way. Once you get to the room with the panels, the scanner needs to call out the correct ones to shoot. The scanner can tell which ones are correct because their radar will turn white when they get close to it. Shoot the correct panels and the nuke will spawn. Dunk the augments in the terminals, grab the nuke and bring it back to mid, kill the brig to lower the shield around the terminal, then dunk the nuke. Repeat 2 more times

Ok ok ok any here complaining about the reuse of asset's, im a DM for a couple of groups and when i first started all my maps were handdrawn, im an artist to an extent so i had quality to an extent but i realized i could only make one map every 2 or 3 weeks bc time and quality control. It was torture and we met weekly so i had to keep reusing the same maps over and over and over until i found a map making with a bunch of PRE MADE ASSETS and after i learned that i could make 4 maps for a single session in half the time it would to make 1 hand drawn map. I can understand why they are reusing assets and I think people who don't do a combination of game design and art can't understand that vast majority of the time when they do something like this dungeon it's a really good example of reusing your old work to make a new and challenging experience
Oh well, then that's just dumb. I get that's not a good rationale, but frankly, I kinda hope the devs lose their jobs. I'm so done with Bungies shit. Also, yall need to stop defending the devs so much. If they truly wanted to make a good product, they'd try a little harder than this. Normal should be unlocking soon. As of rn, 3 teams have cleared contest so once their runs are confirmed by Bungie they'll open up normal

How do you know which panels to shoot?
With scanner. Get close to the button. Look on radar. If it turns white you need to shoot it. If it vanished don't shoot it. (Shoot it with operator)

The time limit only applies to contest mode, after contest mode is concluded the dungeon will play out like any other
