You are literally confused. When Kimi was asking if the drink was switched on, he meant if it was emptying the water into the car since they hadn't connected it to his helmet. He knew he couldn't drink since it wasn't connected to his helmet but wanted to know if it was turned on(pumping water) or not. Also, most of those radio messages were from when he was in his early thirties. If that's old to you, then we need to have words 🤨.
