  • The Avalon hybrid is a great balance of mainstream luxury, practicality, efficiency, space, and reliability. Toyota put their trust into the 2020 Toyota Avalon Hybrid and all 2020 hybrid models by extending the hybrid battery warranty to 10 years / 150,000 miles. That's pretty awesome. Is this 2020 Avalon Hybrid Sedan the best mainstream hybrid sedan on the market? This model shown is the Avalon hybrid xse but I try to cover other trims like the Avalon Hybrid Limited and Avalon XLE. Enjoy this Avalon 2020 review!

    Just want to be clear..the longer 10 year/150k mile warranty is for the hybrid battery, not the whole hybrid system. The hybrid system keeps its 8 year warranty.
    *Thanks for watching and have a great day!*

    I own the 2022 Avalon Hybrid XSE and honest to God, I wish I saw your review before I purchased it online (pandemic changed everything). This is the best review for the Avalon XSE (actually all Avalons for that matter) I've seen online. You are the only person to point out how low the car is to the ground, low headroom issue, and non-pivoting headrest. You also pointed out valuable info about the lights. If I saw your review online, I would NOT have purchased the Avalon XSE but rather the Limited trim instead. For an additional $3k you get more features, more luxury and better headlights, which are cornering in the 2022 Limited trim. As you said, it's not a "fast" car so the more sporty look of it, doesn't outweigh the luxury. I mean a $44k car without ventilated seats but the cheaper Camry XSE has them? Skipping out on heated rear seats too, is questionable since it's an Avalon, which is meant to seat adults in the pack. The cornering lights alone are worth $3k more from a safety standpoint. Great review!

    One humble request here: please always mention the dimensions especially exterior dimensions of the car like length, width and height of the car and how it compares to it's competitors and how small or large the seats both front and rear are size wise. That would really help us and won't take more than maximum 40 seconds of yours.
    I hope you will consider this request in your next video.

    I don't want to sound too arrogant or critique, but in all honesty, if Hybrid is not an absolute requirement, I would rather take the Genesis G-80 3.8 Litres 311 HP AWD version for 46k USD, if I was shopping in that size and price segment.

    This is on my top five models that I would buy list. Is this a better buy than Camry 🤔. Even have a blue push start button. I don't care for the a/c vents placement in the infotainment system. Sorry bud, you didn't get a green arrow 😂. Excellent review Nolan 👏

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  4 года назад +1

      It’s definitely a safe option. I’m not a fan of that whole center design with the vents too. All these vehicles vary so much with that lol. Thank you very much! Have a great weekend man!

      Brother, have you tried the 2020 Genesis G-80 3.8 Litre AWD model? You must, that is absolutely the best bang for your buck once you start shopping in this particular size and price segment.

    Another quality review Nolan! MPG is very impressive for a large sedan. I must admit I like the outside but the interior being all black is very bland. The info screen looks like a Honda. With only 215hp in a large car, when it's loaded with people and cargo, I would be worried about it being underpowered. Good job sir!

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  4 года назад +3

      Thank you sir! Definitely agree on the bland interior with no accents. Yeah the screen really surprised me being planted up there like that lol. It’s a bummer it doesn’t have more power...thanks for watching!

    Just watched your review and loved it. I recently purchase the 2020 Avalon Xle and liked what you mentioned about the hybrid warranties. My only question I also purchase a extended warranty from the dealer was that a waste or good to have as well? Thank you once again.

      Yes my experience with toyota extended warranty was bad i paid almost 3k for that on my tacoma when one of the brake hoses was leaking they told me they only cover defective parts from toyota .if you damge something by using o normal wearing even if is a defective part they will try to make you pay

    Hey Nolan. Nice review. I like the Avalon, but I think I’d just go with the Camry. I like the style and the price of the Camry and the smaller size would work for me. The exterior is very aggressive and eye catching, but the interior could do with some color. A black and gray two-toned would have looked nice with the blue exterior. That is very impressive mpg for a car that size. I totally agree with your point on the headrests (we always seem to share thoughts...haha). I have no idea why more manufacturers don’t include tilt adjustment for headrests. It can’t be that expensive to do. My Subaru is the first car that I’ve had with tilt adjustment for the headrest (my Fusion had a half butt attempt at them but there was hardly any noticeable difference) and I love them. If you want the support just pull it forward and if want to be more relaxed just flip it backwards.

    • @PrimeAutotainment
      @PrimeAutotainment  4 года назад +1

      Thank ya sir! I agree and would choose the Camry..it’s got everything I’d want and the form factor is better for me too mike you said.
      Darn headrests...kill me. No reason they should be uncomfortable lol. Some of my neck patients at therapy complain of their headrests too. Thanks as always and I hope you’re December is off to a good start! 👍

      Prime Autotainment Yes sir! Hopefully finishing off the year with a bang! I forgot to mention, the other day a coworker and I were watching a RUclips video on the 2020 Sonata. I got up to go do something and when I walked back into his office I heard your voice. I walked over and he’s watching your video on the 2020 Accord. Have always loved Toyota. Lately have been wondering if they are too big of a corporation? Diseconomies of scale? But what do I know. Not a fan of the steering wheel buttons. Miss the stock for the cruise control. I am a shorty so I would love the low. :0.
