i also upgraded my squier tom delonge strat with a new pickup, volume pot, and pick guard..looks exactly like yours. and mine also has those paint chip "freckles". I wish it didn't...but it gives the guitar personality, so whatever.

And yeah do you down stroke only on the palm mutes? Alternate picking should be easier on the wrist. It's just stupid how you can down stroke like that and keep rhythm. If you got a strat or squier the lower tone knob isn't wired in so take out the bottom knob and move the other two down. You'll have more room for your pinky its quite nice

Great videos ;) i have a question about the palm muted downstrokes... until now i was playing it up and down, but it does not have the right sound of it, just like when you do it only down all the time. So i am practicing it for few days, and wanted to ask you if you have any special tip or exercise i should do ? I noticed my wrist hurts after a few minutes, so am i doing it by some wrong way or it is just about practicing to get my wrist use to that kind of movement ? Thanks :)

Just finger mute with your hand and down up x4 it sounds pretty nice in my opinion gives it that more trashy feel

He down picks the palm mutes. Most punk songs are only down picked when muted
NinjaTuna81 I cheat and use alternate picking when muted if the song is this fast. Doesn't sound as good though!
