Yes, they are. That old Winner set runs fast on very little voltage. It weighs very little and It’s hard to keep on the track with standard curves. The original transformer is housed in a small, lithographed building and is basically on/off. It’s pretty nice for being 93 years old, though.
I was pointing the camera down, while I was looking for the cars and I didn’t see them right by the transformer. Oy! The Winner set was only running on about 9 volts. It moves right along, for sure. A fun run.
