Hey girls.. what a reaction!!! This is dimash from Kazakhstan.. he's 23 and he's a living legend... I would dare to say that all the commenters here are his fans which he call dears... he gained massive recognition after participating in the singer a Chinese program where only professional singers participates... he speaks 2 languages fluently.. Kazakh and Russian.. he sang in 6 different languages during the show and played 3 instruments.. his range is CRSZY.. and I tell you ladies you only saw one side of what he can really do... you really need to watch the episodes of the program and other performances which I am sure dears will recommend happily 🤗🤗

I will respectfully clarify Helene's wonderful remarks. Each round of 'The Singer', China, had a winner, and Dimash did win this round. In the overall competition he finished second. Considering that he was competing in China, amidst mostly professional Chinese singers with huge, established fan bases, and the voting was done exclusively by the audience in attendance, I'd say he fared pretty well. Do yourselves a favor and watch all the episodes in proper order. Adagio is Episode 6. My favorite is Episode 1. Not only did he sing a brilliant and difficult song, he also led off this much looked forward to completion, and it very much looks like the audience is reacting to him personally rather than the beginning of festivities in general. Dimash, amusingly, seems to accept the applause all for himself. His completion backstage takes notice and good naturedly pokes fun at him. But then he opens his mouth; his audience and his completion hear the song he's prepared; and the fireworks that follow are what I think mark the beginning of what I'm sure will be a remarkable, international, continent spanning career. Have fun listening.

Love you for loving Dimash! Dimash is 23 years old, 6'2", and from Kazakhstan. This performance was episode 6 from the Singer 2017, a competition for established singers of Chinese songs with at least one music award. Dimash was brought in as a "wild card", since he was totally unknown in China, though well-known in Kazakhstan. In this round, he ranked 1st. He also ranked 1st in episodes 1 and 2, for a French song "SOS d'un Terrien en Detresse", and a Russian song "Opera 2". For songs in English, you can try: ep. 3 "Show Must Go On"; ep. 9 "All by Myself"; ep. 5 "Uptown Funk"; ep. 13, Tribute to Michael Jackson. But trust me, all episodes are amazing. Ep. 12, Confessa + Diva Dance is one of my favorites. Overall, he won 2nd place, 1st place going to a veteran of Chinese pop music, Sandy Lam.
You were right about operatic style, but personalized. Dimash was trained classically, but chose to go the pop route. His parents are both well-known culture singers. His grandmother was also a singer and his grandfather a dombra player (see Dimash play the dombra in ep. 7, "Daididau"). He started taking music lessons from age 3, and won his first piano competition at age 5. After a number of first places ("I never got second place...") in Kazakhstan, he won his first international music award in 2015 at the Slavianski Bazaar (competition for Slavic countries, i.e. from the previous Soviet countries). This brought him to the attention of the organizers of the Singer competition at Hunan TV, in China. His very first performance, SOS, brought the audience of 500 (who each gets three votes) to its feet. His weibo (Chinese Facebook) account exploded overnight from over a thousand followers to 2.4 million. That was on January 21, 2017. The rest is history.
By now, he has won six or seven (I lost count) music awards, recorded 2 movie theme songs, 1 video game theme song, had his image painted on an airplane (the interior also decorated in Dimash theme), a skater (Denis Ten) perform to his SOS rendition at the Winter Olympics, appeared at numerous events, including the UNESCO gala in Paris this week and the opening of the Cannes Film Festival, and held his first solo concert "Bastau" in Astana on June 27. Right now, we are eagerly awaiting the release of his first album, due in November! Also, he is launching his first world tour, starting with the December 16 solo concert in Changsha, home of Hunan TV, that gave him his big international break.

Hi Hello Casanova , your reaction is really good. Let me intoduce Dimash Kudaibergenov to you, he is from Kazakhstan and aged 23. Dimash's voice is like a finely tuned instrument. He posses multiple voice types - bass, baritone, tenor, countertenor and soprano. His vocal pallette is almost unheard for a male singer. His vocal range is 6 octaves (from E2 - D8) recently . His whistle register goes up to G#7 previously, but on the 16 Sep, he broke his personal highest note with a whistle register, D8 at Gakku Music Festival Almaty, Kazakhstan. The note D8 (4500-4800hz) which is 6 key higher than G#7 and 2 key more than 88 piano C8. The whistle (C8-D8) is trill one (5sec)...He had attended (invited by organizer as foreign special guest) the China Singing Competition, "I Am A Singer 2017" His very first jaw dropping performance for the China Competition and he became overnight sensation in China. Before the end of the Competition, Dimash won the "Best Asian Popular Singer" award and later won "Most Popular Foreign Singer" Award. Eventually, Dimash shocked the world. Recently, he achieved his dream by organized his very first Bastau solo concert at Astana on 27 June 2017.

He is from Kazakhstan is 6'2 this was a competition done in China, he was a wild card called by China he has a 5-6 octaves reaching D8 he was review by a Wu Yujun and was given a very impressive review of him Dimash voice is stunning and Rare he has a gift during the singing competition he was immediately recognize and sign on with China to sing the Theme for an upcoming movie in China the song is "Eternal Memories" he was also recognize by a composter from LA, to sing the Theme "Ocean over the Time" for a video game by Moonlight Blade he also was invited to sing along side Jarina I, in "Question of Honor" also invited to sing in "Memory" for Global Shopping in China. I can also say that in thirty minutes after his new song debut in China he hit number one in Top List, my conclusion he is the best singer with charisma, stage presentation, he very grounded, kind, respectful to his elders, most so he has touch million of people world wide with his unique but rare voice.

He was not known and the other contestants were , he's not Chinese, he's from Kazakhstan (they speak Kazakh and Russian), but he won 2nd place, which is good considering he was totally unknown in China and didn't speak their language when he first started to perform. He did learn a Chinese song in one week jus to thank the enthusiastic crowd, which you can see react wildly to his performance. Just to show how his fame has exploded , he has 1.1M followers on his Instagram. English speaking Fan groups are sprouting from all over the world on Facebook and Twitter. The one I'm in has people from over 100 countries, it's totally insane. This boy is going places. Yes, your ears have been blessed. He completely entrances you as soon as he opens his mouth!

Dimash is great, I would love to see him perform with Adam Lambert. People that have seen Dimash in concert say he sounds the same in concert which is what I look for in a singer. Adam is my number one in concert right now and I would love to see them go head to head. After all Adam beat out David Bowie so Dimash has some pretty stiff competition.

Honestly, this version was 10x better than the one from CBS’ talent competition The World’s Best...mainly because the producers completely cut that song WAY TOO SHORT. I’m hoping that you will do a reaction of his songs that he sang in that show...then you’ll be able to tell the difference.
