On that spot Ancient Minister would be more normally sized and enormously hype at the same time Tabuu added as a boss for 9.0 difficulty Classic modes would be the cherry in the top though

King Dedede is the hero of the Subspace Emissary, he unfroze Luigi and Lucas which was the reason they could go to The Great Maze, save everyone and defeat Tabuu King Dedede is more important than Kirby and Sonic
Facts! I remember after about 2 hours of playing I managed to beat the boss and watch the credits moments before I had to leave for a party but then I forgot to save and lost all my progress. That got me pretty mad!
Ironically, the first time I fought Tabuu, I never dodged. I thought the butterfly wing attack was supposed to be an attack that insta kills you no matter what you do and that's why you have so many people you can take in with you. I also did this stickerless because back then I didn't like stickers and didn't realize they gave you buffs. No that I needed any since I got so good at the game that I managed to beat him on normal difficulty without the use of anything other than my team.
I remember back when I first got into famitracker, this was one of the first songs I tried to make by ear. Got up to the part where 1:13 is, but then life happened. This is making me consider finishing it

This fight taught me about dodge rolls and spot dodges. And that Ike is one of the beat characters for this fight. He’s a heavyweight with decent recovery, hard hitting moves, and a counter that deals more damage.
This song is more nostalgic to me for being one of my favorite Final Destination songs in Sm4sh honestly, but to be fair, it wasn't until years after Sm4sh's release that I actually beat the Great Maze level in Subspace
@@project4061 he was really a pain even on easy! i tried all of the difficuties, i did all of them BUT intense (working on that) i think hard+ gets him the chain grab move and its REALLY annoying because i dont really see it coming and the wave wings thingy has like 5 times bigger hitbox than the one on easy

Overrated* Did you see the smash community? A lot of the people there say that the subspace emissary is one of the best campaign modes of gaming, thing that I disagree by a huge margin (it's great, dont get me wrong, but it isnt one of the best)
What would have been such a cool, and perhaps terrifying thing, is that in a last ditch effort, Tabuu reverses and absorbs the energy of all the black hole esque explosions, reversing the effects however he was now insanely strong, however you then had the whole entire smash bro’s roster to use in one massive battle
Tabuu's Off-Waves were such a bitch to dodge. Tip for any who's not yet fought him: Use standing dodges (press down while your shield is up) with good timing you can avoid all three waves. Counters won't work and using rolling dodges may let you avoid one wave but you might just roll into the next Wave.
This brings back memories. I still view him as one of my most challenging fights of my childhood and something about whenever I face off against him feels like a blast from the past. I ran around the house screaming like a madman in pure joy when I finally beat him all those years ago!
Reminds me of when I was using bowser during this boss. I jumped at the very last second to avoid his giant laser, it hit bowsers foot, but he didn't die or get knocked back at all, but the damage still went through. I'm pretty sure it was a phantom hit.

One of the best boss battles in video game history! The atmosphere, setting, gameplay, boss design, the emotion, and of course the music! This has got to be the most memorable boss I've ever fought.

If Tabuu was SSBU boss: Before you even fight him, you have to complete 9.9 while getting at least 2 perfects, and starting difficulty 5.0. In the battle, it's always Master Hand and Crazy Hand first, no matter the Classic Mode route. When they get defeated, the Sm4sh Master Core battle begins, no Master Fortress. Then when Master Core is defeated, Tabuu finally shows themselves, in true power, more difficulty than they could ever be in SSBB, more attacks and speed. Upon defeat, massive rewards await, and a platinum medal next to the character you used to beat them in the character selection of Classic Mode. Sadly this will never happen.
I think I'm the only person who enjoyed the great maze. People complain about it being confusing, but I don't get it. There's a map that pretty much tells you exactly where to go. I could see it sucking if you got there at 3 am and wanted to finish the game before bed, however.
