I ended up purchasing this keyboard from Alamo Music in October 2024, a year later after my above comment! Thank you Alamo for helping me acquire this beauty!
Well that was certainly a wish of mine! Two great sets at the Hollywood Bowl about 4 weeks ago. My first New Order concert was in 89 for Technique, and I have seen them a number of times since then. I had never seen the Pet Shop Boys, and they delivered one of the best shows I've ever experienced, and I've seen a lot! The only time I've ever heard Electronic songs live was at a Johnny Marr show, and he nailed them.
As I have noted elsewhere, I fell in love with this synth during a visit to GAK in Brighton a few dayd ago. O just can't describe the feeling 0laying this synth, it's just incredibly warm, expressive and inspiring. However, for me the lack of a way of getting anything other than sound out of it without involving a computer is a deal breaker. The need to involve a computer in order to record a sequence kills the vintage vibe. I now this is a bit hypocritical of me: the 700 and 700S were realeased before MIDI even existed but for me being able to sequence all my gear with my Yamaha QX5 is a must. If you are going to use a DAW, why not just buy the sound module?
...errr... you know you have your Traveller key-caps on backwards? I mean: there's a _reason_ to do that (so they don't lock with one another and you can use a HP lower than the LP), but you don't mention that (at least not that I caught), and it just looks plain weird. Worth a mention.
Just a small bit of "abuse": it's not an "ar-pay-gee-ator". The double consonant after the "e" indicates that it's a short vowel. So that "e" sounds like it does in "legging". (And if you want to be closer to the Italian pronunciation, both "g" sounds are pronounced separately, but this is not common in English. And it probably makes you sound like a prat. 😃) Nice synth, but... it doesn't quite fit into my setup.
I'd love to get my hands on one of these one day! Extremely unique monosynth.
It's a great piece of kit, and its timbre is so very different than that of a Model D. I would love to add one to my collection in the future.
It has been on my GAS list for over a year but I just ordered it last weekend because Sweetwater had a $500 discount 👍🏽
LOVE this synth. Used this and the Maxi-Korg on many recordings and at every live show. Beasts!
Not a synth for everyone but certainly a unique synth.
Having full complete live control over sound texture with a synth like this is an art in itself which is a rare unique talent to acquire.

I miss my Korg 800-DV (Maxikorg)
Nice shirt. Electronic!

Great video
Tnx
Great video! I’m a San Antonio musician too, and it is nice to see our city represented. Keep up the good work! It looks like a very nice synth.

Sounds like init tone of many synths
I dont like the sound of this synth in general but love the kitaro sounds that can come out of it.
Hey! check my channel out! I'm using the miniKORG 700FS to do Kitaro covers!

Korg radias lite
Please compare to a Yamaha sy2
Bro YES! I would love to see that comparison. The SY-2 can produce some fat sounds
I want a remix of this and Zach's less enthusiastic telling.
best to leave that thing in the museum and get something more modern and versatile
I don't think its worth the money.
