Well I put a box spring on my platform and my foam mattress on top. I noticed it was getting wet underneath the mattress but not at the top. Apparently due to body heat I guess. Did that happen to any of you guys?

Still like it, very comfortable, a little on the firm side. What's awesome is it's lighter than a regular mattress so it's easy to move. The one thing is the mattress is so light you need to get a rug gripper to put between the mattress and the frame so it doesn't move around.
Probably not, but the 8” seems fine for us we have three of these mattresses with a wight range of sleepers from 135lbs to 265lbs we are all comfortable on these and they sleep reasonably cool, the thicker the mattress the more it will retain heat.

I think you would be fine up to about 400lbs, I think this is the ideal mattress thickness because it sleeps cooler than a 12inch mattress that I had before. Its just a theory but I think the 8inch matters docent hold the heat as much.

No, not at all, the 8" mattress is the best. I think any thicker would sleep too warm. Any thinner and you might feel the metal.
