BOAR'S HEAD was always touted as being an upscale brand for the elite rich people that could afford it. I've eaten it in the past and never was impressed by the product that cost more than the other deli brands.
Now this is what I don’t get, I live in South Carolina and our main grocery store is Publix and from the very beginning of these stories coming out about boars head products, these main grocery stores continue to sell the product and my question is how is this being allowed? Why aren’t supermarkets being shut down when it comes to allowing them to sell products that are known to not make people sick but by killing them as well. Publix here in South Carolina pushes for head products around every corner of the store so can this be legal? I think mandatory laws need to come out to stop this product once and for all from being put on the shelves for consumption. Obviously the grocery stores aren’t protecting its customers.
If that was done, there'd be no food on the shelves. The grocery stores have to remove items that have been recalled. They can't be responsible for all of the food companies. If a company has enough marks against them, people will stop buying their products, and the store won't be ordering more.
I'm stunned at what was discovered but at the same time I am not surprised. Myself and a family pet got repeatedly violently ill from Boars head meat about 4-6 years, and after that happened I no longer purchase any of their products.
