Ahhh, Joy, thank you so much for these "mysterious" scents! I love unique perfumes for men and women! I remember back when I was only 20 yrs old (30 yrs ago!)- I was always drawn to unique scents and often wore the original Joop for women, Sun Moon and Stars by Lagerfeld, and Spellbound by Estee Lauder!
I love your channel! You have such great taste in fragrances! What is that Maison Margiela fragrance in the beginning? The one that's in the back and next to the Spicebomb bottle.
@@hackendan1921 I only have tried By The Fireplace and Beach Walk, both of which I love. I also own a bottle of Music Festival but I haven't tried Jazz Club yet.
@@nBasedAce I have by the fireplace and beach walk which are both nice but I still think jazz club is the best for cooler nights out dressed up. You should definitely sample and let me know!
I bought Amouage interlude man a few years ago and just 1 spray of it made me sick and nauseous. Gave me migraines and made me feel like fainting. I threw away my shirt and hopped in the shower. I couldn't be in the same room for like 24 hours with the windows open. That's how powerful 1 spray is. I sold it on ebay for like half price. I have over 40 fragrances in my collection and a lot of them are Lattafa/middle east style but none made me sick like interlude man.
Yes, Khamara gives me the same experience as does Toy Boy (yikes). Threw the tester strip clear Across the room buried under blankets. Horrible scent to my nose...🤧 😁 To those who enjoy them!
…the Ajmal and Paris Corner interest me…i didn’t like Ganymede but i love those PC bottles…live MiB Essence, A*Men and GG Absolite…Toy Boy has been sitting in the box but you prompt me to bring it out…
Mysterious? Weird? I know a few old school colognes that fit the bill. Salvador Dail pour homme,in the black bottle with the strange lips for the cap.I have the original version. I hear the new version isn't the same at all. In my collecting for over forty years, nothing smells like this. Now,I've come across many fragrances that I could describe that way.But they don't smell good to me. I have Salvador Dali Le Roi Soleil Extreme, which is also weird. But it doesn't smell that good. I can't find it anywhere now. Maybe I could get $150+ on ebay for it. But the original Salvador Dail pour homme is wonderful. It's powerful, but not over powering like Kouros can be. It's long lasting. It's top notes are anise, clary sage, lavender, tarragon, basil, bergamot, tangerine, and lemon.Middle notes, geranium, jasmine.heliotrope, and lili of the valley.Base notes, oakmoss (the real, dark, dank smelling kind), patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver, amber, cedar, and vanilla. It was created in 1987 by Thierry Wasser. It smells dark, gothic, earthy, woody, reminding me of a damp flower garden with a cold breeze coming from a nearby forest,as your sitting in a very old church,at night, with the windows open. The amber and vanilla round of any hard corners with a slightly sweet accord. There is also a slighty powderiness about it. This is a classy, dress up,suit and tie,or at least sport coat fragrance. No jeans,t shirt/polo shirt, and athletic shoes, wussy xbox boys. This is a mans cologne that isn't for clubbing. Like Santos De Cartier,my favorite.and Sung Pour homme, another classic, romantic, fragrance, Dali Pour Homme is an under the radar fragrance. The most seductive womens perfume I've known is the original Lancomme Magie Noire. It's a witches, spell cast, dark enchanting, complex, and intoxicating smell, that ensnares you. Dali Pour Homme is it's counterpart.
Dali is one that started my fragrance journey I have 3 back up bottles of the original so I’m set for life. I’m intrigued about magie noire could a guy wear it is it like Dali
@@beavisbonce Magie Noire is a womans perfume. And it's from the late 70's. Much of the fragrances for women back then was strong, animalistic(skanky, like dirty sex!,) with woody, floral, and sweet overtones. Like mens colognes, they left a distinctive scent trail. Now you have to keep this in mind. Clubbing, disco dancing, partying, was just getting popular. And many people smoked, both cigarettes, and pot. If you wore a fragrance that was fresh, clean, and soapy, you wouldn't get noticed. Besides,we wanted to smell sexy and seductive. Who wants to smell like soap and shampoo? Or like a candy or bakery shop? Fragrances today are boring. And it's no wonder there are so many, out of shape and overweight young people, who like gourmand fragrances, with food on their mind so much. Getting back to Magie Noire. If you look it up,you'll see how complex this perfume was,in the original vintage form. Many of the perfumes and colognes of this era were complex masterpieces.Completely unlike the simple, mostly linear, undeveloping fragrances of today. Which are also comprised of many synthetic, man made, chemical derived scents. Civet was also in a lot of them, which is an animalistic derived odor. The older perfumes were partly designed to cause pheromone reactions,to trigger sexual responses.LOL,they didn't make you want to eat cakes, ice cream, and candy, after smelling them. Magie Noire,Paloma Picasso, Rochas Mystere,YSL Opium, Dior Poison,Must De Cartier,Lanvin Arpege, are just some of the dark, femme fatale, seductive, classic perfumes. Could a guy wear these? Not a masculine hetero type male.I'm sure there are trans, femboi, goth types, that do. I've seen they're responses on fragrance blogs quite often. But if you appreciate complex, unique, and seductive type scents, you owe it to yourself to get vintage samples of some of these. Both men and women fragrances from the 70's and 80's. I've been sampling and collecting scents for over forty years now. Yeah,it's a strange hobby. And not particularly masculine. But I'm a strange guy. I was a bodybuilder, practiced martial arts, guitar player, photographer and jewelry designer by trade, and I also collect and throw knives. On top of that,I've been an audiophile for forty years as well.I have 10,000 songs on my hard drive, and have had,and have,a lot of audio equipment. I feel sorry for many young people, especially guys,in these last generations. They don't know how to do much of anything except play xbox and call of duty,or some other game. Maybe it's because I've always had an acute sense of smell that has caused me to be interested in fragrances. And though many of my old friends thought it was strange of me, they did value and respect my advice on fragrances. And fashion, because my mother owned a garment business, and I grew up with the knowledge of fashion design and fabrics.Life is short. Get the most out of it. Find and meet different people. Explore their interest. That will make you more interesting as well. Fragrances are fun. Try layering and different combos, now that's a challenge, and it's alot of fun.

I think Shaghaf Oud Abyad by Swiss Arabian is a good clone of Interlude Man. Another good one is supremacy incense by Afnan.
