Ohh you have found such a great chanel. I love it so much. There is also another one called "Little drops of wonderful ". That is about real life. That is great too. This family is Wonderful. They helped to carry me through Covid and cheers me up all the time. Thank you😊
It's never boring to hear about your health! You're a full human being with good and bad experiences and we're here because we care about you and your life, whether it's you feeling poorly or doung something more ''exciting'. So happy to hear that you felt better by the end of the day!
Lilia and her friends did a fantastic job on their costumes…. They all looked brilliant!!! Dan, you’re not old 💖. And Ali, your vlogs are never too long! 💞💞💞
Loving your Vlogtobers Ally and watch all your vlogs on repeat when I need some comfort. So sorry to see you feeling poorly but no need to apologise for it...this is one of the things I love about your vlogs is how real you are and relatable. I've got an op coming up next week which will mean having to have a lot of rest for a month or so and I plan to rewatch all of your vlogs back from lockdown days :) Be sure to rest and give yourself whatever your dear body is asking for...you can literally sit and moan for an hour at us on your next vlog and I'd still love to watch it! Feel better xx
Hope you are feeling brighter, Ali. It's so great to have a long chatty vlog, and I'm going to be sad when October is over. Due to the time difference, you'll be with me until 2nd Nov, and then it won't be too long until vlogmas! Take care of yourself ❤
The costumes were brilliant loved every one of them. I bet they had a ball. Glad to hear you both are feeling better. A cat cave would be great to see. Oh and the clay witch would be fun to make.
Interesting hearing about people who have trouble relaxing in public….I have the same problem every night the moment I climb into bed. My mind switches to overdrive and keeps going for hours. I’m always intrigued by people like yourself who look forward to an early night and find their bed a happy, relaxing place. ( I mean envious really 😂). Being able to fall asleep is such a skill! Hope you soon bounce back to full health x
Ah you see, when I say early night I mean “in bed” but not necessarily asleep :) I like to snuggle up with a book, or some crochet/knitting and be left alone 😅 But I totally hear you on the mind racing at night thing too!
It was great to see you feeling better at the end of the vlog. Seeing Dan so excited with the sabre sword made me smile. It was very youthful for an "old man". 😂 The costumes were great! Yummy pizza! ❤
Pray you are feeling much better not fun being ill is it? see hubby is taking real cgood are of you, What sweet guy bless him! They all look good in there costumes Dan look good too lol thanks for sharing take care God Bless! Hugs Liz x
Hi Ali, I found your vlog earlier this year and am now a regular viewer. I've been following Vlogtober daily and enjoying it very much. It reminds me of home and when my family were young because I lived in Kent many years and still have family there. I learned to knit and crochet at a very early age, and although I have a long way to go to rekindle any skills, watching this, and the strictly socks and your Little Drops of Wonderful, has made me pick up the needles again. Currently knitting a very simple scarf in Irish Moss Stitch, just to brush the rust off my hands! I've also started listening to audiobooks, which I wasn't sure I would like and my son kept telling me I would, so I followed your example and tried it and he's right. Just listening to Maiden by Kate Foster on Borrowbox at the moment. Loved the Halloween costumes - in my day it was a sheet with holes cut in for the eyes! Hope they had a great time. Looking forward to the next vlog, all the best, Jackie
Just thinking on your crochet sock which is awesome by the way....maybe just go down a hook size (a whole one not just an 0.5) instead of mucking with sizes :))) Much love and hope you feel better soon and get to the bottom of what ails you xox
I have no favourite in strictly yet. We just celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary and on Monday the 23rd it will be my birthday. I hope you feel better soon. The kids costumes look great. 😊
I've been catching up on vlogtober and I haven't been commenting as I'm so behind. Lilia and her friends looked so great though I had say something their outfits were amazing. I also think you know what to get Dan for Christmas (a lightsaber, not a sturdier phone case).
What an apt episode! I completely enjoyed how you and Dan appreciated Lilia and her friends and their celebrations. I ran into a parent of my son’s old swim teammate and my heart was pulled back to how much I cared for my children’s teammates. I so often had the opportunity to chaperone at swim meets etc. and have always been keen on knowing how they are doing. Unfortunately the mom mentioned that her daughter, now 28, is so challenged by bowel issues that she is actually looking forward to having a pouch. I have been trying desperately to recall the novel you read and talked about. What was it? Would you recommend it for a 28 year old? I am not sure exactly what her issues are just that she will end up with a pouch. I will try to look back in your episodes, but thank you if you beat me. It is so hard trying to support someone going through something you haven’t without feeling condescending. I love how ‘regular’ you make what you have gone through sound so common. Cheers to you all. 🥂
Hi Carolyn - the book is called Sh1tbag by Xena Knox. It’s a YA novel but I found it to be very good, and positive, and I would have loved it when I was 28 and still so ill. Having jpouch surgery is a huge thing, and everyone’s experience of life with a pouch is different, however I can honestly say my experience has been extremely positive. I’ve had mine for 11 years and this is really the first time I’ve experienced problems. And even this can hopefully be easily treated. I wouldn’t change things. Wishing her well and hope she finds relief xx
@@ThisLittleWonderfulLife Thank you! I have passed on the title and your wisdom . It is always difficult supporting someone when you haven’t any experience yourself so to be able to pass on some kind words from ‘the trenches’ is appreciated. Hope your gurgles and wonkiness settles down soon. We are in moving chaos (out of house in just 10 days) so your quick response was brilliant. Life is definitely challenging for us all and it is a treat when we can support each other. Aren’t we lucky to find connections in our quirky fibre world!
I'm not commenting so much, but am watching every day. I keep meaning to mention some book thoughts for you. Yes, you're right, we are going to wish you well! A big healing cuddle from New Zealand. Thank you for still vlogging whilst feeling like crap, Love Carla xx
Hope you feel better soon. Found out I have access to Libby here in Texas & am enjoying listening to Murder at Mallowan Hall by Colleen Cambridge (a murder at Agatha Christie's house 😮) Thanks for sharing!
❤ Best wishes, Ali! I hope nothing is wrong and it can be sorted out soon. You are such a trooper and your positive vipes have lifted my spirits many times. The "kids" looked awesome and I am sure they had a great time. Thank you and Dan for sharing all this with us!
Super long chatty video today! Sorry you weren’t feeling too great! Love the questions section. I’m actually reading Lisa Jewell- The Family Upstairs at the moment and really enjoying it. I think Lilia and her friends looked wonderful. What a great group of friends to have and hope they all had a great time! X
Oh Ali i hope you feel better soon and your Jpouch behaves... i have Crohn's so i understand a little on the blah feeling, on steroids at the mo Also i bet Mia is thinking how kind you are to have made her such a lovely cosy knitted bed 😂😂
Glad you were feeling a bit better towards the end of the day. I hope you get some answers regarding J Pouch problems and that things soon settle, ongoing chronic pain ain’t no fun 🙁. Thanks for sharing the link for the pizza dough recipe. As someone who reacts badly to yeast amongst other things I’m always on the look out for yeast free low carb-ish recipes, so will definitely give this a go xx
Another great vlog Ali. ❤️. Can I ask a very personal question? If you would prefer not to answer it, I quite understand. As I have never heard of a J pouch before, I just listen when you talk about it. However, I was wondering if it is an external thing or an internal thing & do you have to do any manual maintenance to it yourself. The kids in fancy dress looked amazing by the way! Cheers 😍❤️👏😊💕🥰🤗
Aww Ali, hope your better. Love a pizza . Lillia and her friends looked so good. Reminded me of my time dressing up for Halloween and going out. I was 'Cat Woman' among other things. Loved it, great fun . Hope they had a ball ! x
Ali, so sorry that you’ve been unwell. Could you explain how the school system works there? Lilia is in “college” but you’re looking at Universities and terms end for Phoebe. Is schooling there year round with a few weeks off between each session?
I’ve read Tale As Old As Time it was my first twisted tales book I picked up since Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie. It was so good I couldn’t put it down! I then picked up Mirror, Mirror (Snow White’s twisted tale.) and Part of Your World (Ariel’s Twisted tale.) I’m still reading Part of Your World and its also a great one! If you enjoy those then The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer is also a great book recommendation for reading. It’s a futuristic take on some classic fairytales. Cinder (Cinderella.), Scarlet (Little Red Ridding hood.), Cress (Rapunzel) and Winter (Snow White) and then there’s two novellas that go with them Fairest (About the Evil Queen.) and Stars Above (has background stories for each of the main characters and an ending to wrap up the whole series.) I recommend this series any chance I get. Luckily I had bought this series back in 2014 it’s a great series to re-read from time to time. This series got me through the pandemic. I think you and Lillia would enjoy them.
ahh the joby jokes, delivered expertly. No luck on the steroids Dan, me too, but now cutting back to no more whirling kitchen cleaning for me, boo. Mines polymyalgia by the by
Hi Ali, I hope your feeling okay, I really do enjoy your videos, you and Dan are such lovely down to earth people. I hope your pain has eased, I've been waiting to see the Gastro clinic since the first lock down and finally got an appointment next month, my bowels are complete agony I'm basically housebound with it, it's terrible but I just get fobbed off by the doctors, sorry to moan on here I just know you'll understand 😢. Anyway take care and I'll look forward to another video soon ❤
Great costumes! Reminds me of a crowed of us doing Rocky Horror Live back in the day. 😂. Are your crochet socks actual normal socks or house socks? Just wondering about the over sizing.
Like so many others here I really enjoy your vlogs about whatever you are all up to. I hope you are over the worst of feeling bleh by now but maybe test for covid? Lillia and friends looked amazing in their costumes. I sure I’ve watched every day but can’t remember hearing what role Lillia got in Mary Poppins so at the risk of being a nuisance please can you mention it again. 😊
Glad you were feeling better toward the end of the day. Have thought this before - but that sweatshirt top in the royal blue (would that be the right description?) is a lovely colour and really suits you. Loving the October vlogs 🧡
I have the book As old as time as well would love to know if anyone has finished and if it’s good ? No spoilers 😊 ….. the party goers looked great 👻 …. Hope you feel better Ali 🌼…..💞📖💞
Hello, Ali! So sorry to hear about your jpouch situation, but I noticed you eating a lot of gluten recently, you have pasta every day and other things containing gluten too. Gluten generally tends to cause inflammation in the stomach, so maybe that is why your gut is reacting? Sorry again for being out of place here, but wishing all the best to you and your family ❤
I hope your J pouch issues can get solved. Books are such good friends. I have a long list on both Audible and my Kindle to listen to or read. Always reading and or knitting. That is when I am not watching videos on RUclips. Yours are among my favorites. Found you in the lock down and have been watching ever since.
I read the Beauty and the Beast twisted tale As Old As Time maybe five or so years ago, and I loved it, but then Beauty and the Beast has always been my favourite Disney film. I didn’t have any of the other ones though, so I never read those. I didn’t get the chance to jump into your instagram stories and recommend a witchy book, but one I’ve read this year and loved is The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandana. I don’t know what the audiobook is like as I read it as a hardback but I found the story to be very cosy, fun and heartwarming. The author has a new witchy book coming out next year which I’m very much looking forward to reading as well.
Hi Ali, have you read The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender? I think you would love it. I can honestly say it’s the best book I’ve ever read. I read it a few years ago and no other book has come close. Having daughters makes it even more moving.
Thank you, Ali, for answering the time clock question. We use a 12-hour format here in the US so that's what was throwing me off. I like thinner pizza dough, too. Hope you're feeling better. Do you think those prawns you ate the other day may have caused your j-pouch to act up?
I hope you are soon feeling better Ali, there's nothing worse than trying to carry on with work and all you want to do is snuggle up in bed. Don't ever think it's boring to us viewers when you talk about feeling poorly and yuck. xxx
Ali: I don't even have a cat! Ali, not even 5 seconds later: I am thinking of crocheting her a cat cave I think you need to accept that you are the proud coparent of a notmycat!
Lillia and her friends looked amazing. Hope they had a wonderful night. And glad you were feeling brighter by the evening. Hope you're feeling a lot better over the weekend x
Hi beautiful! Love your vlogs, can’t stop saying that. Can you do a video about how to grow a channel with a vlog niche, from your personal experience. Thank you 🙏 many blessings 💜🌸💓 starting the vlog now.
I do not find your preference for sheets at all odd. If I'm driving I will bring my own sheets to houses, I know they're clean for one thing and I also prefer crisp to soft. I've been know to bring a sleeping bag on top of a bed in cheaper accommodations made by others l when doing band duty , which I am retired from now, but it's not wrong to have your own sheets.
I'm now on boerrowbox like you.... Have you read Ghost Adventures, Sinister Spring, Harlen Coben various titles - recommend I Will Find You, M.C Beaton, I cant do Hex yet ! Maybe there is 1 you might not have come across. I do call to BBC Sounds as well.
STOP talking about books. 🤔.My pile of to be read books gets bigger every time I watch your podcast. 😳🤭. I’m on Libby and bookbub and kindle. Hope you feel better soon. My brother has just had some bowel removed and got a colostomy bag . Don’t know if that’s the same as yours. You are such a positive person. We don’t mind a moan occasionally. 😁😃💐🌻❤️
New here. No idea what this channel is about. Someone who eats prawns in her car, has a j pouch and she knits/ crochets? Sounds good to me.
😂 I think this one of the best comments ever - you just summed me up! 😄
Ohh you have found such a great chanel. I love it so much. There is also another one called "Little drops of wonderful ". That is about real life. That is great too. This family is Wonderful. They helped to carry me through Covid and cheers me up all the time. Thank you😊

I know this is just Vlogtober, but I could get used to daily vlogs from you in the colder seasons 🍂☃️
It’s so cozy and relaxing to watch you 🥰

I love it when you do long vlogs, the longer the better! 😍
If you try the cutting the glass, make sure you wear eye protection just in case! That lightsaber is so cool, it looks so real on video
Lilia and her friends did a fantastic job on their costumes…. They all looked brilliant!!! Dan, you’re not old 💖. And Ali, your vlogs are never too long! 💞💞💞
Wishing you WELL, dear Ali. And Thank You for the entertainment, instruction, and comfort you bring to our lives. 💖🧶🌻
The clock confusion is because you use a 24 hour clock whereas most of the US at least uses a 12-hr system.
Delighted you are feeling brighter Ali. The young ones look fab. Bet they had a super night. ❤

Its not boring to hear about. Its important to have people you can discuss with. I've never had that. Just my hubs to some degree.
“I don’t even have a cat.” 🤣

So glad you are feeling better by the end of the vlog. My husband Phil and I celebrate 49 years of marriage on 26th October!!
The costumes were brilliant loved every one of them. I bet they had a ball.

I've just finished YellowFace on audible. Really enjoyed it.
It was great to see you feeling better at the end of the vlog. Seeing Dan so excited with the sabre sword made me smile. It was very youthful for an "old man". 😂 The costumes were great! Yummy pizza! ❤
If you do end up doing a tutorial, can you give us a list supplies, so that we can work along with you? A sort of spooky crafterday?
Pray you are feeling much better not fun being ill is it? see hubby is taking real cgood are of you, What sweet guy bless him! They all look good in there costumes Dan look good too lol thanks for sharing take care God Bless! Hugs Liz x

Glad you are feeling a bit brighter, Ali. Hope it continues. I love a thin, crispy base on a pizza. It looked yummy. x
You could crochet a cat cave for Mia and then tell her she’s not allowed in it. That way she’ll probably want to go in it 🤷🏼♀️
😂 haha!
Thank you for vlogging even when you aren’t feeling well ❤ Lillia and her friends looked brilliant. I hope they had a lovely time x

Pizza looks so good!
The costumes on the teens , looked beautiful😍
Thank you, Ali, for answering the time clock question. We use a 12-hour format here in the US so that's what was throwing me off. I like thinner pizza dough, too. Hope you're feeling better. Do you think those prawns you ate the other day may have caused your j-pouch to act up?
That’s ok Patty! Mystery solved 😄
I’m fine with prawns, the only thing I struggle with is red wine and pineapple 😄
I hope you are soon feeling better Ali, there's nothing worse than trying to carry on with work and all you want to do is snuggle up in bed. Don't ever think it's boring to us viewers when you talk about feeling poorly and yuck. xxx
Ali: I don't even have a cat!
Ali, not even 5 seconds later: I am thinking of crocheting her a cat cave
I think you need to accept that you are the proud coparent of a notmycat!
😂 so very true!
what's the name of that creepy sounding song about Alice on a few of your videos? I love it but can't remember any of the lyrics to Google it.
I know exactly the one you mean Jane! It’s called Queen of Hearts by Velvet Moon spotify.link/U17QIcpJ6Db I love it!
@@ThisLittleWonderfulLife thank you!!!
I pray everything is well.
Bye see you tomorrow 😄
I'm now on boerrowbox like you.... Have you read Ghost Adventures, Sinister Spring, Harlen Coben various titles - recommend I Will Find You, M.C Beaton, I cant do Hex yet ! Maybe there is 1 you might not have come across. I do call to BBC Sounds as well.
Maybe you miss Summer? ;) I hope you feel better soon
😂 I think I can rule that one out! :) Thank you 😘
Pizza looks amazing.. I’m definitely going to try and have a go at making it.
Love your crochet socks, they look great 👍
Prawns are not good. Its too easy to get a bad prawn. Hope you feel better soon.
Fabulous costumes!
Hi Ali... you have email... :D
