Good title reign imo. It did kind of take a nosedive during the Edge feud but overall, Kane was a dominant champion as he should be. What did you think of this title reign?
annnttt it’s because the decades are so similar. When wwe went HD and PG. one huge thing is that when we kids 6-14 years old, literally a month it’s like a year. Time really goes so fucking slow. Once you become an adult and do the same routine everyday as most adults, time goes really fast and now a year for me it’s like 2 months. I remember 2010 like it was last night , I was 17
I'm glad they gave Kane a nice long run which more than made up his one time world title victory back in 1998, it was also cool to see him have the upper hand on Undertaker for a change and actually beat him at back to back ppv's, 2010 was definitely the strongest Kane has ever booked to look in years and he definitely deserved it after years of service and loyalty.
Kane was like the face of Smackdown along with Taker, Edge, Batista, Mysterio back in 2010. If only he didn't take off the mask hope he wears the 1997 Attire one last time
Yes! It was about time kane got a proper run. It should have been so much sooner, but at least it came eventually. The fact that he beat taker clean too was amazing. Kane has been my favorite since his debut, and I was waiting for a title run. It came late, but no one deserved it more at that time imo. It definitely could have been better, but i was happy he finally beat taker a few times during this run.
Interesting fun fact that Bragging Rights 2010 was the End of Undertaker's Full time career. He might always overshadow Kane and got two wins over him at Mania but that's something most don't even know that Kane got that last hit on his brother ending his full time career a decade ago..... Was just starting High School then to... yikes.
Survivor Series was technically the end of his full time career since that was the Buried Alive Match that wrote him off TV until Mania 27 Edit: it was bragging rights
I was happy to see Kane get a proper title reign, and I remember picking him and Miz to win the MITB that year. Crazy that we had 3 MITB winners in 2010.
not gonna lie i think kane should’ve been in the maun event from 2002 - 2007. he was kinda dominant during that time and they could’ve built him up like crazy.
I really liked this title reign, at the time I was cheering for the undertaker, but I have to admit Kane looked really really strong throughout the run and he really deserved the title. Like he has done soo much in the wwe and deserves alot of credit
I would like to see a video on joker sting in tna! That would be a good one that not many people have done in detail. Your videos are great bro, you would do a good job on that i think.
I enjoyed Kane’s reign only thing I would change is how his feud with Edge turned out because I thought it could’ve been more impactful than it truly was
This title reign gave us the best promos of Kane's career maybe in history and I really liked his title reign and his match with taker the first one at night of champions because it shows how strong actually kane is ❤️
It was so underwhelming, I forgot about it. I do remember the Gulf of Mexico segment, the Buried Alive match at Bragging Rights and the Edge/Kane feud though.
Can't believe it's been 10 years since this title reign. I remember it fondly. Looking back, it was underwhelming. Only good things I remember about this time period is the novelty of Kane holding a World Championship longer than a day (his WWECW Title reign don't count) and Kane improving on the mic (especially his promo after the reveal of him turning heel with the eerie music in the background). Other than those things, the matches he had as champion weren't that good and the whole Paul Bearer thing was odd. What a time this was. Also, "The Devil's Favorite Demon" nickname was quite bold.
That title reign was meh. I really thought it could’ve been better mainly because of the weird Edge feud. BTW, can you make a video on The Rock vs Stone Cold PLZ
@@trashboat2687 Mysterio and Undertaker feuds was better, Edge feud in 2005 was good but this 2010 one having Edge the aggressor this time didn't sell that well and there one on one PPV match was crap as Edge the aggressor, Edge is good but he is to weak to match Kane in a fight he has to have a interference or manapulate the ref or capitalise on a injury Kane has or just cheat for it to work and the spear on Kane just doesn't sell its such a wank finish move very weak and Kane is massive, there last man standing match after Kane lost title they went back to the 2005 formula and got it right it was there best match and only good thing about the feud.
Loved his run! 😂legit was scared of kane back in middle school. My first experience with "broken kayfabe" was when our math teacher who always took pictures with wrestlers got a picture with kane!!! It was epic seeing that at the time. Even while class took place 😁we kept asking him "Was he angry when you asked him?" "Did he choke slam you?" Etc
In todays era that Fatal 4 way ppv would be great considering the amount of titles that hold weight and the amount of competition that we have now in Wwe
I was shocked he beat the Undertaker three straight times. I thought Undertaker was eventually going to get the win but nope Kane got the sweep. I thought Edge having Paul Bearer as his hostage dragged out a little too long and hurt the feud but this title reign for Kane was something I didn't see coming.
Up until it went downhill rapidly during the feud with Edge I’d say this run in 2010 was the best promo work of Kane’s career, I was happy that he finally got clean wins over The Undertaker.
I think the thing that really made that promo before Night of Champions was the lighting. You had an Undertaker's dark blue-black Soul Reaper lighting and Kane's red and orange and yellow Inferno. Really shows the aspects of the two and their respective personalities and the whole good and evil shit
Was TLC 2010 also Edge's final TLC match, as he retired after 'Mania 27 the next year? Kind of a milestone as well, and something to remember of that PPV other than the final burial of the Nexus.
Nah man 98 had the whole story where Undertaker killed his family but Kane survived and it turned out Paul Bearer is Kane’s father so Kane went on an unstoppable run until he lost to Taker at mania. It felt like a damn movie I swear
ChrisENT I understand what you’re talking about, Kane’s build up to his debut and the rivalry was like movie but in 2010, Kane finally was the stronger brother and Paul bearer return was outta no where so was his betrayal in the hell in a cell

The reason the nexus attacked the undertaker and help kane at the bearded live match was to fix what happened at summer slam but we all know nothing will ever fix that
You know I think Undertaker wanted Kane to be top dog in this storyline beef. Taker was always the person to give credit when credit is due and I feel like he probably went to Mr. McMahon or Board Of Directors, to tell them that they wanted Kane to be the next person to fight him for the champion and finally win. I'm sure Glen was honored and due to his relationship with Mark, he knew that he couldn't have passed it up. I'm willing to bet that Kane was working on stuff outside the ring, to focus on being Mayor of Knoxville, so he knew that he couldn't have been champion for too long. Edge ended up being champion again because he was the only face superstar, with enough fan base and can actually hang with Kane. I bet Glen was honored because he always enjoyed facing Edge in the ring, that's why their close friends and in Edge retirement speech, he exposed Kane's reputation as a heel and told him that he loved him. So yeah, I know that Kane was busy outside the ring, but I really wished that his title reign in this last longer. To me, I felt that this was meant to be as long as the "Age Of Orton" era, at least. "Devil's Favorite Demon" era doesn't sound too bad. It began betraying his brothers, finally overrides him in 3 PPVs, and became the dominant brother, and had full control of that locker room. After his Buried Alive Match at Bragging Rights, Kane winning streak should have began there, dominating Edge in matches, and everybody else. That would have been dope.
I always felt like Undertaker had too much respect for his brother to retaliate after these battles. Thier final three matches and Kane won them all! Still glad he did too. Kane rarely ever back him back then
After Kane's run as champ he kinda wasn't the same. When he return as masked Kane in 2011 I thought he was going to be a great run but you know super Cena...
I never got why they never mentioned Paul Bearer being buried in the concrete crypt in 2004 on TV but they mentioned it in SVR 2011's Road to Wrestlemania Break the Streak storyline. That was the last storyline Paul Bearer had been in before this 2010 one so it was obvious he was trying to help Kane kill Taker to get revenge on Taker for trying to kill him.
Good title reign imo. It did kind of take a nosedive during the Edge feud but overall, Kane was a dominant champion as he should be. What did you think of this title reign?
