Adrien's problem is not only that he's a child. He's completely a social inept. His supervillian absent father, his dead mother. He has no family to get support or to act as reference.Nathalie and Gorilla are around only because it is their job (up to this point at least) Yeah, he has friends but they kinda all idolize him and as a result, he never is himself with them, besides he's very VERY sheltered and can do normal things as a kid like going out with friends, even going to school is new to him. So he doesn't know about communication, proper reactions or how to properly manage his emotions.
Gabriel and Emilie shelted him a lot as he grew up... for obvious reasons. That is reflected how Adrien was homeschooled all of his life, even before his mother died. But he was still happy, because his family was happy... despite Emilie being sick. However, that doesn't change the fact Adrien had little to no contact with the world outside the mansion (besides when he needed to do any model work). The only friend he had was Chloé and just because she was André and Audrey's daughter and lived in Paris. Other than that, he lacked any social skills precisely because he never got to do an effort to be friends with someone else.
There is an important thing to realize about the problem at the beginning: Ladybug thinks, she's doing Chat a favor by not calling on him since to her, being Ladybug is a chore. Further, though I believe it's more subconsciously, she's keeping him at a distance because she was traumatized by Chat Blanc (as shown by the fact that she immediately thought the cat monster was Chat Noir looking at the bell) without knowing what caused Chat Noir to be akumatized. This, combined with all the stress she's under, is the reason she had such a short fuse. But Adrien doesn't know that. For him, being Chat Noir is the freedom he can't have as Adrien. So not being Chat Noir while seeing Ladybug succeed with other heroes gives him the feeling of not being needed anymore. Being replaced. But, of course, Ladybug doesn't know that. Because the two never sit down and talk about their feelings. It's something a lot of fans didn't realize leading to much hate towards Ladybug during this season.
I'm happy that you came to understand Ladybug, Zamber. Many Miraculers came to attack Ladybug because they felt that she was completely at the wrong here, feeling that she was replacing Cat Noir, especially with Rena Furtive being the hidden third permanent member of the team. However, Ladybug was just doing what she thought was best. She doesn't know who Cat Noir is, so she can't contact him. But she can't also wait for him to arrive to a fight, so she deals with the akumatized villains as fast as she can, even if that means without him. And then there's the fact Cat Noir constantly lets his feelings for Ladybug to cloud his judgement. But it is true that Ladybug SHOULD place more trust on Cat Noir. She is really putting him aside too many times for comfort. The fact she didn't even realize how he was feeling tells everything how unstable their dynamic is.
Yeah I'm glad she actually understood Marinette/Ladybugs feelings in the episodes I was honestly worried she'd attack her like everyone else I'm glad she didn't though
Another thing, too, is they view being heroes very differently--Ladybug sees it as a responsibility, while Cat Noir sees it more as an escape from his responsibilities and expectations in his civilian life. So she probably thought she was doing a small favor even with not having him come to every fight if it wasn't necessary since she can't take a break but she can let him have one
Yeah, the buildup to both their trust issues was perfect. Ladybug was being too controlling and leaving Cat Noir intentionally out of the loop. She was scared of their relationship getting too close, which would lead to another Cat Blanc scenario. But Cat Noir is tired of being neglected and having others know ladybug's identity, but he doesn't know how to communicate it properly. The one thing I dont like about Cat Noir is how he just refuses to show up to akuma battle? He has his own miraculous and Ladybug never had to specifically call on him before
if it wasnt obvious before. Ladybug and Cat Noir's relationship began to fall onto hard times the day Ladybug became Guardian. Cat Noir said in "Truth" that he was fine with Ladybug's new position so long as it didn't change things between them, but that change wasn't their choice to happen or not, it was always going to change things. Near the end of this episode, Ladybug did realize that Cat Noir is irreplaceable, they balance each other out just like Plagg said, meanwhile, Cat Noir realized he doesn’t need to be in every fight that happens, they have a team and Ladybug will call on whoever she can to deal with the situation if Cat Noir cant make it( but is also haunted by Cat Blanc and is trying to keep Cat Noir from knowing more and doing more to keep Cat Blanc away, hence why she reacted by his shoulder touch, which matched her dream back in “ sentibubbler”), but this never meant he wasn’t needed, Cat Noir also realized that he still needs time to figure himself out as he tends to only express parts of his personality to meet the occasion, ironically enough, the only thing keeping him from being his true self and combine all sides of himself, is maintaining his secret identity. It is normal for their situation to feel unresolved at the end of the episode and this is because they still have yet to talk about their frustrations on why they became so distant.
I think what people should realize is BOTH Ladybug & Cat Noir were both right and wrong. On one hand, LB has a LOT on her plate and a LOT of stress. However, she was being pretty negligent of Cat Noir and not doing the bare minimum of communicating. Whereas CN should have been more understanding of LB's new role and all this stuff she has to be careful with, but he did have some pretty valid feelings to be upset, especially given he has other things going on with his emotionally distant father and dead mother. People should have more nuance and not be all LB is right 100%/Cat Noir is right 100%
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian but Adrien was in the wrong all this time. Him feeling sad doesn't excuse his behaviour. At least ladybug has a lot to deal with as the guardian. What's his excuse?
@@vladimir3905 Adrien SUFFERED UNFAIRLY THROUGH THIS WHOLE FUCKING SEASON! Of course I'm not going to feel bad for ladybug! I still don't! Thank you season 4 finale.
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivianshe was doing her best as the guardian with little to no proper training. But yeah, let's side with the whinny boy who feels left out 🥺
I honestly think Ladybug got a bit of a reality check when it came to how lucky she is to have Cat Noir. It turns out his true self including his love for her is what helps them succeed as a team. Those two are the real duo and no matter how many new superheroes they get cat noir is always the one by her side no matter what.
I do think Cat Noir should help collect the miraculous of the heroes he knows the identities of, as he is already aware of several and Ladybug typically has a time limit after a battle. The more heroes she calls upon the harder it is to collect them all in five minutes. Still the fact that he doesn't know the meeting point is a problem, but it is something they could fix outside of battle. Not right that moment, but something they could talk about after she has a minute to recharge. I'm also not sure why Cat Noir isn't aware of the villain until it is too late, but Ladybug had time to call half a dozen heroes. She has never called upon Cat Noir for help, she counts on him to show up on his own.
Btw the girl who got amokized, rythm is actually based on a real little girl with the same name who was invited by the make a wish foundation to the miraculous studios after she recovered from cancer, it’s really sweet.
This episode was about Cat Noir solving his side of the miscommunication problems this season but Ladybug still needs to solve her side. Plagg was a mastermind this episode with his plan to prove to Adrien that Ladybug does value him as Cat Noir by making him think that if he acts like how he thinks Ladybug wants him to be, everything will be fine and obviously that didn't go so well and Cat Noir's belief that Ladybug wanted the perfect Cat Noir were disproven and he realized that Ladybug just wants him.
It's not his feelings for lady bug that caused him to take off his miraculous but that he feels that ladybug doesn't trust him or need him anymore. This has been one of the big build ups this season throughout the different episodes.
Re Catwalker's hair: it looked green in the ep, but I think the animators were trying to convey ash blonde ("dishwater blond", as it's sometimes called), which cuts odd colors in certain lighting.
Nah, it's just green cuz i have seen the concept arts and 3d model of catwalker long time ago. His hair is just dark-green, but not like bottle green, it looks more like rotten grass or smth lol. I like it tho
this didn't happen because Adrien was in love with Ladybug, though. the show tells us that's what it is, but we see that the real issue is that Ladybug just ignores him. he's supposed to be her partner for a reason and she's been neglecting him. she said he was just like the other temporary holders. he wasn't hurt because he was in love with her. he's been sticking by her side all this time because he was in love. no, this was because she pushed him away. which... she didn't do on purpose, but she never actually properly apologized, either
I’m pretty sure I just not realized Zamber has 3 episodes left of S4 😅 I mean, technically 2 reactions since the finale will be double but I’m super excited for the rest of the season! A lot of people underestimate the next episode but I personally loved it!
also, I would like to argue that chat noir is Adrian's only chance to be silly and immature. even with his friends, he's careful to not make anyone mad and is only able to enjoy himself when with a select few people because he knows his status and the expectations set on him. as chat noir while he wants to be taken seriously his need to be free is much more important to him. he's not scared to mess up because he feels like he is allowed to mess up with ladybug there.
Yeah, it's nice to see how important his silly side is for him. You could clearly see how uncomfortable he was acting perfect around Ladybug as Cat Walker.
We get many kitties in this series, but Cat Noir will forevr be #1. That is undeniable. Despite Lady Noire being awesome (and her costume looks better), nothing can beat the original.
I mean- if we're talking characters, then it's Cat Noir, Lady Noire, Cat Walker for me. If we're talking about their style, Cat Walker, Lady Noire, Cat Noir lol
For most of his life, adrien has based his persona and reactions around what his parents wanted him to be. He's been sheltered and emotionally abused. The most he sees his father is when he's being 'useful' to him. In the collector, we see how adriens limited freedom is so easily taken away the moment he has his father's disapproval. Plagg sees all this and he does an excellent job at playing therapist this episode. The ladybug and the cat are supposed to balance each other out as equal opposites, you can't just change one holder. Plagg got this chance to prove to adrien that ladybug doesn't dislike him for some integral part of himself, she admitted she's stressed and preoccupied and she never meant to hurt him, that she appreciates the partner that he is for her. Adrien also got to see that putting on his persona isn't the only way he can guarantee that people will appreciate him and won't hurt him. It's a beautifully done episode, I love that the show is taking the time to explore adrien within the context of hey this kid is in an emotionally abusive home and this is how it effects his daily life.
I feel like Adrien is suffering from being a child that was put in charge of protecting a country. Also the fact he was socially isolated his entire life and thus does not know how to even be a child.
8:22: Cat Walker before the Moon looks like the shot in the PV with Ladybug jumping before the Moon and Cat Noir immediately becoming smitten 🤔. 10:26 - 10:28 : Take care of remembering this shot when watching the very end of "Strike Back"... I had never noticed until today 😮
adrien is a kid who is alone, don't have his father attention, don't have mother and the only thing he can actually do is modeling, so everyone can understand his side "you'll forget me / you don't need me anymore" LB is practically an emotional anchor for him. BUT marinette it's trying to do her best and he need to understand this.... it's a very complicated thing, for adrien being a hero it's funny he can be himself and for marinette it's a stressful job
Ladybug wanted a serious Cat Noir, she got it, and now instead of Cat Noir falling for Ladybug, she's falling for Cat Walker who is Cat Noir, The irony!.

shout out to the homies who thought this episode was going to be about Kagami getting the cat miraculous (it's me. i'm homies) -- s4 and it's chaotic premier order/schedule was a TIME in the fandom lol
I love the fact that Zamber at first was against Adrien acting like how he usually does around his dad and sort of the perfect child, and then after she saw how he acted with the outfit she imediatly went full fangirl on him. Also pick one Zamber its either the snake orthe cat which one
This episode is interesting because it shows how bad of an influence Gabriel has on Adrien, he might be the sweetest comprehensive boy but living a life like his does affect negatively sometimes. So it's a really good episode to balance things out a bit and show that both are dealing with their own problems and can't react properly every day.
me when i first saw the title of this episode when it first aired: Kuro Neko? ........... wait, that's japanese for black cat, that is english for CHAT NOIR? IS MY BABY GONNA BE AKUMATIZED? oh wait, but...... what? *watches the episode - OH MY GOOOOD That was my first reaction.
People try to take sides. But Marinette and Adrien are both just kids who are trying their best and making mistakes. Their intentions are generally good, but they do not always act in altruistic and selfless ways. Adrien is a very emotional boy with a lot of love in his heart and pain in his life that he suppresses... he doesn't always know how to express his needs. And Marinette is a very talented girl with a lot of pressure on her shoulders trying to protect herself from failure by isolating every variable and keeping things at arms length. They're both just figuring it out. It's honestly easy to believe that despite their inherent trust, LadyNoir would have communication issues.
Also, this episode makes another plot hole... Atleast I think so but: So changing personalities= new suit. Yet another weird argument to not give Chloe her miraculous back. Don't get me wrong, she did not deserve it, I understand that now, but maybe if she actully tried as a person, she could have became Vesperia before miraculer or something. And the other heroes. Again, she didn't deserve it with her adittude, I get that now, but the rule is clear. If Hawkie knows your identity= no more miraculous. In Miracle Queen, she literally exposed 6 heroes, and they just come back like nothing happened. "Mean pepole won't and will never deserve a miraculous". So like... Kim gets his miraculous... why exactly? I'm not sure if the "personality=suit change" is simple, but also, does the personality really have to change in order for a new suit? Or a holder can just do it at will? Because we have Rena who didn't change her personality, just her role. So can holders do it just like that or-
FYI, by the time you start season 5 (unless you take a break in between seasons), episodes 1-12 of the season (in production order) will already be out. HOWEVER, right now only the first 10 are dubbed, and I think Disney+ only has 1-9, but don't quote me on that. Past episode 12 there's some other loose episodes already released, and some are dubbed too.
I really like most of the Catwalker suit. Maybe Adrien can get a costume upgrade like Ladybug did with her Lucky Charm. He could get a mix of both of his costumes. I would love it if he could get the green ponytail again.
There's one thing you missed about all this mess ladybug assumed cat noir left because he loved her and didn't get his way when reality it was about how he was left in the dark and left behind.
You understand the characters, and the show! Thank you very much for saying those things. I think, you're the only reactor I have watched who expressed their opinions about this show very well. You really are an adult, you see things maturely. Keep it up : )
Something I like from this episode is that both sides of Adrien are "the true him". He's not just one or the other. That's what Kagami tried to tell him in the episode Lies
Like Jungian psychology. We use different personalities for different situations. One is not our true self more than the other, our true self is all of them
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian that's what Plagg told him at the end of the episode. Both sides of him are part of Adrien. After all, Cat Noir it's just a facade as well. It can't be the true him at all
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian Adrien being well mannered, proper and overall nice are also part of what he is. Or are you implying he is not all that?
i think the issue between ladynoir wasnt about unrequited love. both ladybug and most of the audience read the situation wrong that catnoir is upset at the fact that ladybug isnt prioritizing him and laughing at his jokes and letting him flirt with her and what not. that was NOT the issue. the issue was neglect. plain and simple miscommunication. i get that ladybug has a lot on her plate as the guardian now now but just because she's bringing in new players on the field doesn't mean she has to bench catnoir. like how you pointed out, he shouldve been more responsible and put the mission first, i think thats where the issue starts is he isnt even on any missions anymore. adrien has always been a loner, neglected and ignored by people who's priority it should be to put him first. then in comes ladybug who gave him the love attention and respect that he needed, called him her partner, only to throw him on the sidelines without explanation and rip all of it away. sure there can be arguments made on ladybug's behalf why she did what she did, and most of it is understandable. but therein lies the issue she never explain any of it to him even when he asked her. he always just goes along with whatever plan she concocts regardless how big or small role he has in it. and sure he has thrown hissy fits and acted on his emotions impulsively but he's literally 14. yes ladybug is too, but i think its interesting that people argue she's the guardian she has so much responsibility, then isnt her responsibility towards HIM too as a miraculous (equal in power to hers) holder, to communicate and guide him better. also lets talk about the fact that catnoir has been in love with ladybug since day1 and rarely have those feelings ever interfered in him completing his part of the mission or his performance. but ladybug who just laid eyes on this new "catnoir" and just got flustered by how perfect he was (doubt she was in love honestly) and just that was enough to mess with her mind and her performance. that truely says a lot about them both as individuals and responsible superheroes.
You know, when France releases trailers, they just have background music, no dialogue, no nothing and they are just a bunch of quick 3 second scenes. So you have no idea the schizophrenia we all went into when the trailer for this episode came out, WE ALL THOUGHT CAT WALKER WAS MARINETTE AND ADRIEN'S SON FROM THE FUTURE!
While you're right about Ladybug needing to trust Cat Noir more, the problem that this episode mostly ignores is that lately she’s been putting more faith in the other holders than in him and not telling him any guardian secrets that he could help with, while Adrien is also unaware that Alya now knows most of those secrets due to Marinette revealing to her that she is Ladybug.
though in glacatiour his actual issue wasn't actually about her not returning his feelings and not showing up and more about her assuming he wouldnt be upset at all which echoed how his dad had canceled a outing for adrien with his friends, never showed for dinner and gave no oportunity for adrien to express he was upset and expected adrien to practice piano like a good boy. its easy to assume his issue was romantic in glacatiour because he acted pouty about her not showing to the rooftop and that she showed to the akuma attack...especially when he has no idea she had ended her meeting withfriends a while ago and pople fprget he clearly had planned to come out after his meeting with friends so he only put in more effort on the rooftop to get at his dad by not practicing piano. but if you pay attention when he was talking to civilian marinette he wasn't actually upset about the ladybug not showing in a 'i'm mad way'. he only expressed frusteration toward ladybug when she showed up and touched on his dad button in not mantioning the rooftop at all. which WE know she didn't because she just talked to him as marinette but he doesn't know that. which wasnt helped by her bringing up the 'pretend to be lovey dovey plan' which while a smart plan was also a insensative one since she knows his feelings are real. He put his foot down there becuase he was defending his right to feel negative and have emotions that arent convient for her(or his dad) which he wasn;t able to do with his dad earlier. He calmed down becuase when ladybug said sorry to him she acknowlsged his right to be upset so he didn;t need to double down on it himself anymore. where then he said that he was in the wrong becuase she didnt actually do anything wrong in regards to not showing up and he did understand about her fries aspect. she had showed she cared enough to take into accont he was upset even when both new she wasn't wrong for not showing. I think the issue is adrien's thing is he likes liking ladybug and joking and flirting about it. he's not really expecting her to change her mind about him and she also thinks of it as layful banter most of the time as well. he likes being able to express he likes her...but I don;t think he is actually thinking she'll change her mind because he alreayd got her answer. but marinette who is very serious about her confessions and all her attempts will think he is actually trying to change her mind or expecting something from her and assume he has forgotten she already told him no because she hasn't actually been able to get her feelings across to adrien at all. her plans usually involve a cofession or aplan for some end game. for adrien he delights in being able to express hisfeelings even if they are unrequited because to him its not actually about her loving him back, its about lettung her know he cares ad having a outlit to express himself. fr marinette her feelings come with wanting adrien to like her back as a main focus so she forgets chat isn't actually expecting a change from her as she does snap at chat in glacatiour 2.0...but when you look closely...her issue was actually withthe city disregarding that she has been firm they aren't a thing..not actually about chat even though she lashed out at chat(despite how she has been willing to pretend to be a thing to take down akumas before) who hadn't noticed how seriously she was frusterated about the city speculating and joked about a kiss which normally she would just mess with him back. but ended up thestraw on the camels back. thiscan be noticed in how chat was taking her words about him disrespecting her seriously while she had almost completely forgotten about that aspect and had no issue with calling chat over to help her and hang out with him as mari and she didn't seem to care for him trying to let go of ladybug again to make her comfortable. that said its a mixed feeling because on one hand he should just move on from ladybug...on the other they can't have him genuinely move on or that would work against her in the long run.
I always love watching your reactchions twords this show. as for responding & leaveing comments? theirs no need. cause as stan lee once said. "enough said" you're reactchion is rewarding enough kind dear.
Hi Zamber! I know this is late, but I just had to comment. I haven’t seen season 5 yet. The end of Season 4 is where I am up to. So far from what I’ve seen, I think Marinette takes Cat Noir for granted. She does not have to love Cat Noir back, but keep in mind that Cat Noir happens to be Adrian, the boy she claims to love. At this point she doesn’t really love him, only who she thinks he is. If she really knew him and loved him she would appreciate both Adrian and Cat Noir. Last episode in Ephemeral when they revealed their identities to each other the huge difference is that Adrian appreciates all sides of Marinette. He constantly praises both Ladybug and Marinette. That’s why it was so easy for him to fall for Marinette after finding out she’s Ladybug. In contrast, Marinette spends more time fantasizing about Adrian than actually getting to know him. She doesn’t really know the boy she claims to love and takes Cat Noir for granted which is why it took her a while before she decided to reveal her identity and give Adrian/Cat Noir a chance. These are just my thoughts.
The Ladynoir conflict is such a grey area, because you understand where the two of them are coming from. I'm not gonna say much about Ladybug because you said it all and I agree with you, but with Chat I think there's more than his feelings for ladybug. We know that because of Adrien's life, Chat Noir is the only way he can escape from his home life and everything that comes with being 'Adrien Agreste, Gabriel Agreste's son and supermodel', and that time as Chat Noir includes Ladygug. Of course he's in love with her but he also values his time with her so much, he has said that she's his best friend and that he has the best time when he's with her, and because he's traumatized because of Gabriel's abuse, he's scared Ladybug won't need him anymore and he doesn't talk to her about it so he reacts the way he does. Is it okay? Definitely not, Is he adding more stress to Ladybug? Definetely, but you understand why he does it. Adrien is not depressed because Ladybug turned him down, he's depressed because not being Chat Noir means going back to his previous life.
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian uhm this is literally a kids show? why are you bringing up 'lusting' and 'making love' when Marinette only simply liked the image of having to work with Cat Walker. She's 14. Chill tf out.
Personally I think Cat Noir still making advances on Ladybug is a bit on both of them. Yes, Cat Noir really needs to calm down and remember that being a hero is more important and just accept no as an answer. But at the same time while Ladybug has told him no, she has just as often done things that are seen as flirting. She calls him cute pet names, she plays with his bell, ect. Those are things Cat Noir’s gonna see as flirting, that’s how he flirts with her. I thinks it’s unfair to say it’s all on him when she’s giving mixed signals.
No hate to Adrien I love him just my view (from marrinettes side I understand his emotions but I'm focusing on logic). Adrien has no right to be upset with Marinette in this circumstance. If she had time to assemble all those people and inform them where to meet to return there miraculous then obviously there was some time for him to get there. We see in Ephemeral her first instinct is to get in contact with cat It's not marrinettes fault that Adrien is busy. Then he showed up after they have finished all their fighting and he's doing his charming DISTRACTING cat act while she has stuff to do.
I know it would not make sense in the context of the story, but I would like Cat Noir to keep Kuro Neko's suit without the hair. Man, do I hate the hair. It looks oily and unkempt. But those gold accents really help the suit pop a bit.
Sooo is adrien an attack on titan fan cause that was totally the salute that they give in the anime!!!!!!! Also season 5 says hello with all the answers from the future
Idk if she’s reading this Miraculous season 5 is not complete yet, only 12 episodes are dubbed but only 10 are in order while the others are out of order and the rest is not released yet.
13 actully, episodes 1-10, 12, 16 and 18 are all in english now. However she said she'll probobly take season 5 one episode at a time, but I may be wrong. She also said she'll watch only the english dub, but only from Disney Channel USA I think.
Btw when/if you catch up will you watch episodes in other languages aswell, or only in english? Or maybe only english and french? Currently the first 10 episoes are out in english, 11th and 12th will be out soon but in french. The other episodes that are out aren't in order
i just feel like, at the end of the day, marinette IS only 14 and has the weight of the freaking universe on her shoulders. her being a little stand offish towards chat noir after repeatedly rejecting him kindly, and him still getting upset she doesn't like him back, can be frustrating. also, she's just trying to do her job, so her being a bit "mean" to chat sometimes isn't on purpose, ppl need to give her a break.
I kinda don’t like that they’re trying to say that the issue this episode was Chat Noir’s crush when it was clearly him feeling replaced, but also, why would Ladybug be calling on him, Chat Noir has his own permanent miraculous, he never depended on Ladybug to call him in, he just shows up, like she does, it’s only in this episode, why
how would he think that he needs to be kept around if she said a partner like any other meaning he’s replaceable and is shown up by all the new heroes why would he feel like he has to stay if he very clearly isn’t needed that’s why he feels like he can rage quit at any time and honestly he can it’s not like he stole the miraculous or something it was forced on him
I'm fully team Adrien in this episode. Yet again Marinettes selfishness and only thinking about herself. Caused cat noir/Adrien to feel pushed out and like he wasn't being validated. Just because theres new miraculous holders available doesn't mean ladybug/marinette should forget/abandon the one that was there with her from the start. Cat noir has helped save her a$$ on numerous occasions and she proceeds to treat him like dirt like he's less than her.
Something I felt really off with this episode-I don't know who else shares this opinion-but it felt like they kinda side-stepped the actual problem that was developing between Ladybug and Chat Noir. It was not in this reaction, but the scene where Plagg confronts Marinette has him blame her because of her lack of accepting his romantic endeavors. And that really bugged me, because it felt to me that the *actual* problem was that Marinette chose to keep Chat Noir more at a distance this season as a result of her new responsibilities that come with being a Guardian, and how it translated to her interactions with him was often negative or frustrated.
I think the issue was chat gave a good way to help that didn't by pass any boundaries by offering to help collect the miraculous of some of the side people he knows. she refused it instictually but then chat asked why not and she had to pause and she knew she didn't actually have a answer. we and mari knows she has relied on alya with way more stuff than that even when aylya isnt her partner...so it SHOULD have been fine to let chat help when she was already on a time constrant. but she still didnt WANT him to help and his why made her face she didnt actualy have a good reason to not acceot his offer which she didn't like. so she chose to snap at him and get angry and act like his offer was foolish or a waste of time to just end the subject so she wouldnt have to think about it. not helped by the fact mari was on a time crunch and doesn't respond well under pressure or questioned on things she felt she shouldnt have to think about. she chose to act like he was being foolish or wasting her time when BOTH of them knew his offer was genuine just to change the subject and not face why her answer was still no when she suppousedly trusts him and we and mari both know it doesn't make sense considering how much she is trusting to alya. I both like and hate plagg's reaction. on one hand I like it because he is defending adrien's right to be upset....and I think its incharacter for plagg to not actually understand why adrien is upset. plagg hadn't figured adrien was upset being out of the loop til adrien reveal he was upset in siren. plagg was surprised at how understanding and not made adrien was at him over sandboy and had mistakingly assumed adrien was just naive to felix being a jerk untiladrien showed he was well aware. mari tends to be very open to tikki with play by plays about her feelings and getting advise and direct support from tikki. to contrast, plagg tends to try to be a nuetral party for adrien so adrien doesnt feel pressured to act a certain way around plagg like he does with everyone else to some degree. plagg tends to tease adrien or distract him from the problem or gives a answer that adrien might use to strengthen his own choice in doing something like with felix. plgg giving actual advise doesn't happen that often. and plagg's advise in regards to ladybu seems biased by his own experience with the guardians. as plagg often played at apathetic or like he only cares about cheese which could be a way to avoid disapointment to contrast how tikki has pushed herself to seem like the responsible incontrol one and worried about mari not trusting her if mari found out how intense tikki's cravings were...which resulted in tikki losing control once she reaches her limit. plagg even saw the book about miraculous stuff and didn't advise adrien to go to master fu unlike tikki who had that as a first instinct. and plagg's advise as to not bother questioning things and to not expect anythig=ng from ladybug when chat was confused about the way she handled the rules with nino and alya. even though adrien has shown he can and will be understanding if he at least gets a attempt at explination. and as open as adrien seems...adrien doesn't pen to plag about everything...like howadrien does know he elt something for mari but kept that to himself so plagg was surprised in chat blanc even though we saw all the signs he was drawn to mari already. it makes SENSE that plagg would have difficulty articulating exactly why adrien was upset and because plagg is also similarto mari who tended to panic a bit because chat doesn;t get upset that often...so its easier to try to lean into the romance aspect because thats a part they get to see of him and the strongest aspect they can lean on for chat to NOT leave. and plagg is also using how because adrien cares about her it hurts him more. so maybe plagg was going for that the issue isnt about her not returning chat's feelings..its that she doesn't really take it into account at all. much like in glacatiour WE know she knew his feelings were real but she still had a plan to pretend to be acouple..which was a smart plan but a insensative one. and him leaning into that when marinette's assumption was about the romantic feelings being a issue because of how she handles her own crush. but its also frusteratingbecause it feels like it never actually explains the real issue and pretends like the issue was about his romantic feelings. or about him seperating himself even though uptil now it felt like he hadn actually seperated himself and just acted different in certai situations like most people do. and since this is aimed for kids alot of kids are just going to assume that the lesson at the end was the point. I dont think even mari actively knewshe was keeping chat at a distance. his why would hage made her think aboutthatand she didn't want to. but I a;so hate it withlplagg because people tend to treat the kwami's as the moral explainers istead of characters f there own with flaws and issues that need to be gotten over...so people aren't going to question what plagg said
I mean...in his defense through out this season he has tried his best to be there at attacks but even when he does try his best his power either gets barely used with him used in the plans she makes, him barely able to makeit last minute were its then too late. or how he couldnt come at all during empheral where WE know he really needed to be there to make it easier because we know howmari felt and that whole shindig with master su-han....but ladybug never actually got around to telling him that she wants him to try harder to be there because she was distracted by her empheral plan, then the time stuff where when he asked what she called him to talk about...she said nevermind. He clearly has shown he does appreciate the other side heros and accepts them fairly easily....but even when he does try he has barely been able to make it recently. and ladybug hadn't even informed him she would be leaving or give him a heads up about a temporary replacment that due to the history of sentomosters and volphina...she should have known he would assume the worst. and in this particulr scenerio I can understand why he is hurt because he was actually offering good help that didn't actually over step anything. he wasn't asking to know about the side hero's identities..but she knows he does know at least a couple. her timer was going down so collecting the few he does know would take pressure off of her who was already close to detransforming anyway. and it would mean the less time the miraculous would be ot in the open and at risk of being taken by hawkmoth since it would half the amount of time they would be exposed. considering the amount of time he has succesfully completed aspects of her plans before...doing this isn't really a stretch. So I think what actually hurt him was when she acted like he was just flirting or making a dumb joke or not being serious and 'wasting her time' when what he brought up was completely reasonable and genuinely helpful and wasn't rally pushing at the boundaries she had set up and he hasn't really been flirting in this season. She tried to make him feel like he was bad or unreasomable for offering a actually good option to help....something adrien usually does have to a toleralnce for to some degree but he didn't have it considering he has been feeling like he wasn't needed even when he was trying. and her words did echo how his dad acts. and when he did want to question some things like her kindof double standard with the rules that bothered him in rockatear he held it back because he knows the pressure ladybug is under and because plagg told him to not bother asking. I think his issue with that had less to do with not trusting her judgment about others knowing...and more about how she has to him always been strict about it and always jumped about no exceptians. the whole chloe thing was about how no one can know. and she said it to others like kagami as well. and from his perspective she even cut off multimouse marinette just because 'chat' found out. but hawkmoth can know identities and she still used alot of people who hawkmoth knows but chat still wasn't allowed to know. and more...his main issue was ladybug as far as chat knew was strict...but nino was comfortable enough in thinking ladybug was lax about it that volphina/alya knew and nino told what he thought was just a civilian(adrien) about two identities. and that was after the scarabella situation where she left with no warning where he was pretty vulnerable with her. though that said...in Marinette's defense chat had been hiding how bothered and upset he was lately from her deliberately bcause he didn't want to put more on her plate so its not her fault she didn't notice if he never said anything and he was trying to let her believe things were fine. and we have seen the pressure she has been under even if unlike adrien she had a alya pressure valve. in this case marinette's issue was her timer going down as mari tends to get snippy when she feels under pressure and just wants out f the situation. in this case chat's offer to help collect the miraculous was actually a reasonably health offer to help that does take into account her time...but the issue is mari isn't used to letting chat take anny intiative recently due to becoming the guardian. and I think her main issue was when he asked her why he couldnt help that way...because logic wise he is her partner. he was picked by master gu who did trust him to and mari has trusted alya will helping with WAY more things involving the guardians, kwami's and even taking miraculouses to others. there really was nothing wrong with chat's offer to help. she rejected it instictually at first but when he asked why mari didn't HAVE a real answer which then got her frusterated, that coupled with the time and her just wanting to stick to her original plan made her more frusterated...so to end the onversation as quickly as possibly marinette chose to snap at him and say he was wasting her time and pretend he was being unreasonable to just leave. this is very incharacter for mari who while genuinely a good person...tends to be the more fix it logic type who has issues actually putting herself in other people's shoes. something increased tenfold because she was on a time crunch with her timer and how she didn't really absorb what his words were til she was further away. personally I am a bit more frusterated with mari because she lets alya do all these things it does feel unfair that she just brushed off chat's genuine offer of help by acting like he was goofing off when both of them clearly knew his offer was legit. but that said HE DID hide how upset he was from her. an dconsidering her own stress..it makes sense she would assume he'd just be happy or be having a better time since he isnt the guardian and if he hasn't been able to come since SHE would probably perfer not going herself if she had a chance. she knows what she means or feels and so struggle to realize how chat might think or feel. like...to us its obvious her words to the public was to reassure them that no matter what they would be safe...she isn't thinking about how it could be interpreted by chat who has been feeling out of the loop lately. after all..while we know chat is actually a softy who needs support deep down...the big differnce between mari and adrien is mari ia actually much quicker to crack when she needs supports...adrien is USED to being his own support system and has thicker skin and can bounce back better than mari...so its MUCH harder to notice when he's reached his limit. its why adrien has a easier time saying what mari needs to hear and support her because he has seen her insecutities out in the open more compared to how when chat reaches his limit mari and even plagg are often very surprised becuase they hadn;t noticed the signs. something I noticed with plagg...plagg got upset at marinette but it also felt like plagg didn't actualy understand why adrien was upset and tried just telling adrien to power through it or prove himself instead of talking about it with her...much like how he never told adrien that ladybug wouldn't be disapointed in him and suggested a shprtcut method of not telling her and just rushing back to paris in newyork. like..part of me is glad plagg tried to defend adrien...but even til the end it felt like plagg didn't really get why adrien was upset either . and mari felt wrong about why chat was upset as well. she wanted it to be about his romantic feelings when i feel like that wasnt actually anything to do why he was upset. that said i'm glad adrien did learn again that she is going through stuff and he can't just leave when it will trouble her if he cares and him being chat was his choice ven when she wasn't around. mari is going through alot after all. even if I still don'y quite get what mari was suppoused to learn. that even when faced with what she thought she wanted in a perfect partner she still wanted char? that thank god she isnt attracted to chat or she can't do things right? is it suppoused o tell us that perception in the problem? tht when she isnt distracted by surface level stuff she would fall for the sweet aspect and care that was there all along? that she would perfer chat to adrien in the long run because chat is such a goof she feels comfortable over fluttery butterflys? is it suppoused to point out that he doesnt actually let his love get in the way as often as we think compared to mari when she has a crush involved?
I've been wondering about this for a very long time... How do you manage to avoid spoilers? Like, I'm sure there are a lot of people spoiling the show here in the comments and on social medias...
Zamber having a Marinette moment lol SHES IN A LOVE TRIANGLE BETWEEN LUKA AND CAT WALKER lol 😂😂😂😂 and its soo cool we learned that the miraculous actually makes your superhero persona based on your personality so that's cool info so I'm really curious what our superhero persona looks like i need that quiz lol
Adrien: Sits at home for no reason instead of getting to the mission Adrien: She doesn't need me waaaaah. As much as I don't like Marinette, she needs 100% help in this episode. Like, she's suffering from sleep deprevation just because Adrien is depressed for selfish reasons.
I also hate how this ep theres a pick side thing like its kinda dumb tho because is both of their fault and people just blame one and not others when its and not just 1 person.
I do think you kindo missed that I don't think it was his romantic feelings that got in the way here even if mari tried to make it about that...which to befair makes sense you'd miss since they dont actully try to adress his real problem. but adrien HAS tried getting over her. everyone likes to pretend kagami wasjust a rebound but adrien HAD tried to change targets...then chose that he wsn't ready in frozer and did acknowledge ladybug was right when she scolded him in frozer about her already giving him a answer....so that means when he did try to give kagami a shot again properly there were actual real feelings as even the love akuma had sensed his attention on kagami in miracle queen. he knew hec ouldnt just make his feelings for ladybug go away but he could choose to date someone else and not feed into ladybug romantically which he did chose to do. and we saw that lying to yourself like mari did about her feelings for adrienin newyork didnt actually help her progress. she had just assumed there was no way chat coud like somone other than her. so she assumed chat was just trying to mak her jealous which the jke was that wasn't the case. and she assumed the yellow rosewas him trying to get around her turning him down romantically when he really DID mean the yellow rose for friendship. the issue was that adrien wasn't 100 percent ready because mari had pushed kagami and adrien together and he had to be ladybug's support after losing master fu. then his issue that its easier to be his chat aspects with ladybug because he knows ladybug accepts that side and his struggle to bring that side to others who he didn;t know for sure would accept it, like when mari had a bad reaction at the musuem (understandably) when he tried to cheer her up like plagg did with him. in this case kagami misinterpreted him tyingto share his chat side as him just goofing off, not realizing that WAS him trying. thenhe messed that up because of the secerts he had as chat. then much like marinette who uses her crush on adrien as a distraction to feel more normal to counter her stress as the guardian, he fell back into his crush on ladybug because its distracting and familiar even in its unrequitedness. he could sense a change in how she was handling the attacks inregards to using him but he also didn't have the full context to adapt to that change since he is unaware she has a new assistant in alya. he tried to cheer her up inregards to her luka breakup she wasnt givinghim context over while it never occured to her he could understand since he went through the same thing. adrien put more work into his chat side since he doesnt get as much opportunity or leway to work on his adrien side. so he had a cracked moment like when mari folded underthe pressure on her civilian side. so i think its not really romantic feelings getting in the way in this case as more its his issue with feelings like he needs to be useful to have a place. that said you are right there is a time and a place for him putting don boundariesabout treatment and he wasnt taught the best method of making his points timewise like how he handled siren, glacatour, newyork ect ect. even if he doesnt really have much opportunity outside of those to make a point. even his his main base for people never bothers to explain stuff unless he puts hos foot down like that.(people tend to forget the progresss adrien males with his dad usually comes from him running away or a akuma happening to hammer in a point). and in this case adrin was feeling he hasntr been able to do his job properly when he has tried lately...so hen ladybug implying he was thesame as the others and it would be fine evn if he didn't make it and then going along with him saying he would leave just meant he thought he wasnt the one for the job anymore...like in newyork when he left thinkig he didnt deserve the miraculous after messing up.
Also he’s a sentimonster so obviously it’s gonna be hard to fit in😂
Exactly
Gabriel and Emilie shelted him a lot as he grew up... for obvious reasons. That is reflected how Adrien was homeschooled all of his life, even before his mother died. But he was still happy, because his family was happy... despite Emilie being sick. However, that doesn't change the fact Adrien had little to no contact with the world outside the mansion (besides when he needed to do any model work). The only friend he had was Chloé and just because she was André and Audrey's daughter and lived in Paris. Other than that, he lacked any social skills precisely because he never got to do an effort to be friends with someone else.
@@Hotgirlenergy no that's not his problem
I mean natalie also they're for adrien
There is an important thing to realize about the problem at the beginning:
Ladybug thinks, she's doing Chat a favor by not calling on him since to her, being Ladybug is a chore.
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.

The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.
"Adrien. Do you need a therapist?"
EVERYONE in this show needs a therapist.
Including the therapist...
the therapist in question being Luka
🙄😮💨🙉
He has his own miraculous and Ladybug never had to specifically call on him before
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.
if it wasnt obvious before.
People should have more nuance and not be all LB is right 100%/Cat Noir is right 100%
ladybug is more wrong and i stand by that
I agree. If we talk about right, both were right to their own feelings but if we talk about wrong, both were equally wrong in their own doings.
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.

I honestly think Ladybug got a bit of a reality check when it came to how lucky she is to have Cat Noir. It turns out his true self including his love for her is what helps them succeed as a team. Those two are the real duo and no matter how many new superheroes they get cat noir is always the one by her side no matter what.
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.

This episode came out around the time my cat passed away so when Ladybug and the kid talked about losing their cats, I found it very relatable.
Ladybug: I'M SORRY CHAT NOIR, PLEASE!!! 😫
Shadow Moth: wait, what?
Feeling useless is the worst feeling in the life, it's not a matter of age (adult or child) or romantic feelings
It's not his feelings for lady bug that caused him to take off his miraculous but that he feels that ladybug doesn't trust him or need him anymore. This has been one of the big build ups this season throughout the different episodes.
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.
Re Catwalker's hair: it looked green in the ep, but I think the animators were trying to convey ash blonde ("dishwater blond", as it's sometimes called), which cuts odd colors in certain lighting.
Ash means more brownish, I think you mean chlorine cuz blonde with chlorine turns it green
To be fair, Gabriel told Natalie multiple times not to use the broken miraculous and she didn't listen.
♥️I am so excited to see Zambers reaction of the upcoming 3 season 4 miraculous episodes♥️
Especially Strike back
Honestly same I've been waiting since she started reacting to S4
This episode was complex.
I can understand both perspective of Chat Noir and Ladybug feelings
also, I would like to argue that chat noir is Adrian's only chance to be silly and immature. even with his friends, he's careful to not make anyone mad and is only able to enjoy himself when with a select few people because he knows his status and the expectations set on him. as chat noir while he wants to be taken seriously his need to be free is much more important to him.
he's not scared to mess up because he feels like he is allowed to mess up with ladybug there.
Exactly! Thank you!
Yeah, it's nice to see how important his silly side is for him. You could clearly see how uncomfortable he was acting perfect around Ladybug as Cat Walker.
THIS!!!!!
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.
Of all the cats it goes Lady Noire, Chat Noir, then Catwalker for me
Incorrect.
Cat Noir is the original.
Lady Noire is a uh thing!
Catwalker while a beautiful design isn't the real Adrien.
i really dont like ladynoire, shes kind of selfish tbh
thats just me though🤷♀️
Ladybug wanted a serious Cat Noir, she got it, and now instead of Cat Noir falling for Ladybug, she's falling for Cat Walker who is Cat Noir, The irony!.

that’s what i thoughtttttt and i think that would have been a better episode!
If it had been. It would be a nice way for Adrien and Kagami to understand each other better as friends.^^

Your disgusting. Catwalker is everything Adrien is forced to be because of his father. How can you be so vile?!

Well thankfully in season 5. Something happens.
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.

me when i first saw the title of this episode when it first aired:
Kuro Neko? ........... wait, that's japanese for black cat, that is english for CHAT NOIR? IS MY BABY GONNA BE AKUMATIZED? oh wait, but...... what? *watches the episode - OH MY GOOOOD
That was my first reaction.
So close to the finale zamber omg good luck 😭❤
Yeah like pick a side thing is dumb when its not only 1 person and its both of their fault for not finding time to have a proper communicating n stuff
Also, this episode makes another plot hole... Atleast I think so but:
So changing personalities= new suit.

I really like most of the Catwalker suit. Maybe Adrien can get a costume upgrade like Ladybug did with her Lucky Charm. He could get a mix of both of his costumes. I would love it if he could get the green ponytail again.
thank you for understanding ladybug in the first place. most people don't get it

i think the issue between ladynoir wasnt about unrequited love. both ladybug and most of the audience read the situation wrong that catnoir is upset at the fact that ladybug isnt prioritizing him and laughing at his jokes and letting him flirt with her and what not. that was NOT the issue. the issue was neglect. plain and simple miscommunication. i get that ladybug has a lot on her plate as the guardian now now but just because she's bringing in new players on the field doesn't mean she has to bench catnoir. like how you pointed out, he shouldve been more responsible and put the mission first, i think thats where the issue starts is he isnt even on any missions anymore. adrien has always been a loner, neglected and ignored by people who's priority it should be to put him first. then in comes ladybug who gave him the love attention and respect that he needed, called him her partner, only to throw him on the sidelines without explanation and rip all of it away. sure there can be arguments made on ladybug's behalf why she did what she did, and most of it is understandable. but therein lies the issue she never explain any of it to him even when he asked her. he always just goes along with whatever plan she concocts regardless how big or small role he has in it. and sure he has thrown hissy fits and acted on his emotions impulsively but he's literally 14. yes ladybug is too, but i think its interesting that people argue she's the guardian she has so much responsibility, then isnt her responsibility towards HIM too as a miraculous (equal in power to hers) holder, to communicate and guide him better. also lets talk about the fact that catnoir has been in love with ladybug since day1 and rarely have those feelings ever interfered in him completing his part of the mission or his performance. but ladybug who just laid eyes on this new "catnoir" and just got flustered by how perfect he was (doubt she was in love honestly) and just that was enough to mess with her mind and her performance. that truely says a lot about them both as individuals and responsible superheroes.
SO EXCITED for your finale reaction!! Just one episode away❤
season 4 finale reaction is getting closer!! I'M READY!! (meanwhile watching s5 lol)
that description to this video sums up this episode perfectly lol
Literally the plot 🙃
Catwalkers suit gave me kind of Kpop Idol vibes.
💚Chat Walker💚

Hey zamber thank you for another great reaction and now I'm super excited for the next 3 episodes 😍🥳
We can said that the best episodes of miraculous are in the night theme?
Personally I think Cat Noir still making advances on Ladybug is a bit on both of them. Yes, Cat Noir really needs to calm down and remember that being a hero is more important and just accept no as an answer. But at the same time while Ladybug has told him no, she has just as often done things that are seen as flirting. She calls him cute pet names, she plays with his bell, ect. Those are things Cat Noir’s gonna see as flirting, that’s how he flirts with her. I thinks it’s unfair to say it’s all on him when she’s giving mixed signals.
I find it hilarious that the only thing preventing Ladybug from falling in love with Cat Noir are his witty jokes & puns
Honestly if ladybug can't appreciate humor. She'll never be liked.
You caught me off guard with nostalgia with the VeggieTales clip!
Ohh. Oh god. I-I need to go lie down.😵💫😵
Oh Zamber If you love this, wait until you see the best versions of Chat noir and lady bug. In this season they are babies unlike the fifth season
"is he paying for your medical bills?"
Which ones?
I know it would not make sense in the context of the story, but I would like Cat Noir to keep Kuro Neko's suit without the hair. Man, do I hate the hair. It looks oily and unkempt. But those gold accents really help the suit pop a bit.
Sooo is adrien an attack on titan fan cause that was totally the salute that they give in the anime!!!!!!! Also season 5 says hello with all the answers from the future

This is why superheroes can't fall in love.

Btw when/if you catch up will you watch episodes in other languages aswell, or only in english? Or maybe only english and french? Currently the first 10 episoes are out in english, 11th and 12th will be out soon but in french. The other episodes that are out aren't in order
Actully, 12 16 and 18 are also out in english. I think some Australian site aired them or they're just leaks
I plan to only watch the English dub, which hopefully there will be more episodes out by the time I would get through the first 9 of season 5.

@@xoxovozo6620 French dub is great. However Plagg's french dub voice, Yikes!
i just feel like, at the end of the day, marinette IS only 14 and has the weight of the freaking universe on her shoulders. her being a little stand offish towards chat noir after repeatedly rejecting him kindly, and him still getting upset she doesn't like him back, can be frustrating. also, she's just trying to do her job, so her being a bit "mean" to chat sometimes isn't on purpose, ppl need to give her a break.
Cat noir has helped save her a$$ on numerous occasions and she proceeds to treat him like dirt like he's less than her.
right
The Kuro Neko Sentimonster should be on Rule 34.
I can't to see you react to the next episode which is Penal Team, it's one of my top 5 favorite episodes of season 4 of miraculous 😃
14:24 Not even yourself.
Kur-ro ne-kuu pronunciation
I've been wondering about this for a very long time... How do you manage to avoid spoilers?
Like, I'm sure there are a lot of people spoiling the show here in the comments and on social medias...
Zamber having a Marinette moment lol SHES IN A LOVE TRIANGLE BETWEEN LUKA AND CAT WALKER lol 😂😂😂😂 and its soo cool we learned that the miraculous actually makes your superhero persona based on your personality so that's cool info so I'm really curious what our superhero persona looks like i need that quiz lol
You doesn't listen the talk between Adrien and Plagg of Adrien personality
Soooo, LadyNoir with extra steps. 🙄🤦♂️
I like cat noir but what’s your point of catwalker ?
Adrien: Sits at home for no reason instead of getting to the mission
Adrien: She doesn't need me waaaaah.
As much as I don't like Marinette, she needs 100% help in this episode. Like, she's suffering from sleep deprevation just because Adrien is depressed for selfish reasons.
Actually if we go from Ephemeral. It makes sense from the beginning.
I also hate how this ep theres a pick side thing like its kinda dumb tho because is both of their fault and people just blame one and not others when its and not just 1 person.
Not everyone will agree with me on this, but this episode is when Chat’s feelings towards Ladybug start to change
