The changes in “MJ” and Flash are to serve as a nod to the comic history of those characters but updating them with their own story for today. Michelle “MJ” Jones is a way to hint at a love interest without doing another Mary Jane and then getting a bunch of ugly and unwarranted “race-bending” criticism. The Flash change was explained a couple times when Homecoming came out that he’s updated to a more realistic bully for current times. Instead of a hulking jock, he’s a douchy rich boy in the same social circle as Peter. But they still hilariously kept the Spider-Man-fan/Peter Parker-hater aspect.
Yeah, that whole "GIMME YOUR LUNCH MONEY NERD" stereotype that still survives in movies is something that honestly doesn't happen much any more. The reality of bullying in the 21st century is way different from some big dumb oaf in a buzzcut shoving you into a locker, and I'm actually really glad that Marvel is thinking about that instead of just doing what every other movie does with a bully character. It makes me all the sadder that both Aquaman and Shazam had the usual "bullies shove skinny weird kid who ends up having superpowers" scene in their trailers lol.

That does not mean that they are those villains of course, but it does sound weird to have elementals and have references to other characters. It could also be a movie-only version of Elementals, where they are Sandman, Hydroman and Moltenman.

Jude Miller I’m not too familiar with the various ways the Spider-Sense has been portrayed in the comics but to my knowledge, the Spidey-Sense alerts Peter to when there is danger nearby, specifically when it’s a danger to him. What constitutes as “danger” depends on the writer and the circumstances, but Spidey-Sense is typically activated in combat or when someone is about to ambush Spider-Man. I’ve also heard that the spider-sense is almost sentient at times (don’t know how true that is) and its sentience allows it to determine other people’s intent and whether they pose a danger to Peter. In this case, Nick Fury didn’t activate the spider sense because he didn’t intend to attack or harm Peter. It also may be why Peter’s spider sense didn’t go off when Aunt May caught him in his spider-suit. However, there are some inconsistencies with what activates the spider sense or not throughout the comics as it doesn’t always alert Peter to danger.
What the spider sense can and not do depends on what the story needs, but the most well known use of the spider sense is alerting him to incoming attacks.

Here's my theory: the actual reason why Peter doesn't take his suit is because it reminds him of Tony Stark. So my theory is Tony will die in EndGame in exchange for Peter's life. This causes guilt on Peter, and Nick Fury, because he also had a close relationship with Stark, feels he has to take the mantle of mentoring him. Whether or not Nick Fury is actually Mysterio and everything is just one of his tricks, the point is Peter is somewhat lost, and this new villain will force him to become the Spider-Man the world needs.

If his power is magical or alien in origin, or even a botched experiment then I will be sorely disappointed. He is not a difficult character to make correctly and I hope they see that.
I know it's not canon but VFX doesn't work that way, and they are clearly not doing very subtle things, so either magical or hypertech. He can still be a VFX artist that got his hands on something that helps him create illusions, it just can't be special VFX, too many people knows it doesn't work that way.

I agree. I think Tony survives and retires for good...but I think Cap will die. I think Thor, Banner, Nat, and Clint all survive as well, but some don't return for the other movies, except for maybe the occasional cameo. Maybe Stark will pop up for a few seconds in every movie like Stan Lee?

When are people going to stop saying “too many villains”?! THERE IS NO SUCH THING!!! You can have hundreds of villains, it all depends on the story. If you have them be connected and share the story in a way that feels natural and makes sense then you can have as many as you want (like having the sinister six be a team), but if you spend all this time setting each individual villain up with their own stories and throw them all in and it doesn’t make sense then it’s a problem. The X-Men has many villains that work with Magneto and it works. Avengers has a bazillion heroes and there’s no problem with that. We want to see as many villains brought to life as possible, because every hero has a HUGH rogues gallery and most of the time you only have a trilogy of movies to show them all off. There is no such thing as too many villains! BTW there is only Mysterio and his elemental creatures illusions (Theory: I assume he is using to get famous as a “hero”), so what are you even taking about? You saw the water creature and rightfully assumed it was Hydro-Man? Ok 2 Villains whoop-de-do, Avengers: Infinity War had 5 villains (Thanos and the Black Order) and 3 villains turn hero (Loki, Nebula and Winter Soldier).
For Spider-Man FFH, it does feel like too much, but I also think that a sinister six is going to come. Think about it, we have vulture, scorpion, mysterio, and rumours of a chameleon. The next 2 I think will be doc ock because he’s the brains of the operation, and possibly green goblin, if they turn the avengers building into Oscorp
I'd seen one comment on a different video about how this would be before Infinity War because Peter's introduction in that movie is on a bus, which could be him coming back (after the plane ride obviously) from the trip. She is not Mary Jane Watson, but she is the MCU's version of the "MJ" love-interest for Peter Parker, which means we may never see Mary Jane in the MCU. She's playing a character named Michelle that happens to have the nickname MJ, which is the only thing I don't really like about this version of Spiderman. I really like the character, but linking her to Mary Jane in such a random way just makes it kinda weird. It also makes it less likely we get an actual Mary Jane later which is a little unfortunate, but they could always bring in Gwen Stacy though so there's that. My personal favorite was always Felicia Hardy though.

There's a possibility for the Spiderman: Far From Home happened just before Infinity War like it occurs months before Infinity War then coming back to America the invasion happened. Any thought on this?
Amy Pascal has confirmed that FFH takes place "minutes after" the end of Endgame. Far From Home is also a summer vacation, whereas Infinity War takes place in spring, so it couldn't take place just before IW. The kids from Peter's school had just been on a field trip in Infinity War, but it was to the Museum of Modern Arts.
It can't be just "minutes after" the end of Endgame because there should be large repercussions to the people involved in bringing back & in people who are getting brought back after the snap. And if they go time travel, that's another set of big problems for the heroes.

Imo I think Homecoming is the best movie about Spider-Man (in terms of writing, directing, performances, humor, etc.), but it isn't necessarily a very good Spider-Man movie. Aside from the moment where he has to push the rocks off of himself, his hand is held for the majority of the movie and his actions never really have any consequences. Spider-Man movies (especially about a younger Peter) should have an element of coming-of-age that seemed lacking in Homecoming
Xetren Absolutely a fair point. And for the record I actually really liked Homecoming as a Marvel movie/as a movie overall. But since watching that I played the Spider-Man PS4 game and watched Into the Spider-Verse and realized that Marvel could be doing a lot more with that character than they have. I enjoyed the humor and loved the characters, but overall the movie seemed closer to “generic superhero movie” than any of the more special Spider-Man installments that we’ve seen especially recently. For example, Tony giving the suit to Spider-Man somewhat (for me) takes away from his own unique rise to superhero-dom. Both Toby and Garfield’s iterations felt more earned from start to finish, meaning all their hardships felt more dire because they had no one else to bail them out. And when they win the day, it’s because they themselves rose to the occasion against all odds. I felt a bit of a downgrade in terms of stakes in Homecoming in favor of scale. That’s just me, I actually like all of the 7 Spider-Man movies I just expect more from the 8th now and I personally don’t see that as a bad thing

There is a theory that this Mysterio at one point did tap into and learn some Mystic arts the same way Doctor Strange has. As you can see during the fight with Hydro-man, a mystic type of symbol shows up when Mysterio is blocking the hit, a same look that Doctor Strange has used in other films. Now it all could be an illusion and the work of his chemical and technological abilities, but if we do get a different version, but still similar Mysterio I would so be down for that. If he is actually, or wants to me a good person and help Spidey.
I think the fact the Nick Fury recruits Spiderman and Happy telling him “you’re all alone” is maybe referencing Endgame where maybe most of the Avengers will die/retire. I mean Tony would never allow Fury to recruit a 15 y/o kid who he cares about to go up against the Elementals.

It would be interesting to see mysterio using his holographic technology and other mechanisms , machinations mixed with magic.

I think this is before Infinity War. Here's my timeline theory: In Civil War Tony was keeping Spider-Man his own secret recruit, the events of Homecoming happened and he was going to reveal himself and do so from the Avenger's compound which now has him on file, he then goes to Europe for his school trip and now officially being on the "S.H.I.E.L.D./Government" registry this is how Nick Fury knows about and is able to find him, he gets home to the events of Infinity War and because he's now officially on the registry is why we see Peter's face show up as missing in the files during the Endgame trailer. Just my opinion though.
Before all the “why he didn’t take the suit” theories, watch the Euro trailer..he opens the suitcase in customs and it’s sitting there with some bananas, he freaks, the customs lady says “no bananas!”...maybe Aunt May packed it anyway..

That does not mean that they are those villains of course, but it does sound weird to have elementals and have references to other characters. It could also be a movie-only version of Elementals, where they are Sandman, Hydroman and Moltenman.

Jude Miller I’m not too familiar with the various ways the Spider-Sense has been portrayed in the comics but to my knowledge, the Spidey-Sense alerts Peter to when there is danger nearby, specifically when it’s a danger to him. What constitutes as “danger” depends on the writer and the circumstances, but Spidey-Sense is typically activated in combat or when someone is about to ambush Spider-Man. I’ve also heard that the spider-sense is almost sentient at times (don’t know how true that is) and its sentience allows it to determine other people’s intent and whether they pose a danger to Peter. In this case, Nick Fury didn’t activate the spider sense because he didn’t intend to attack or harm Peter. It also may be why Peter’s spider sense didn’t go off when Aunt May caught him in his spider-suit. However, there are some inconsistencies with what activates the spider sense or not throughout the comics as it doesn’t always alert Peter to danger.
What the spider sense can and not do depends on what the story needs, but the most well known use of the spider sense is alerting him to incoming attacks.

Here's my theory: the actual reason why Peter doesn't take his suit is because it reminds him of Tony Stark. So my theory is Tony will die in EndGame in exchange for Peter's life. This causes guilt on Peter, and Nick Fury, because he also had a close relationship with Stark, feels he has to take the mantle of mentoring him. Whether or not Nick Fury is actually Mysterio and everything is just one of his tricks, the point is Peter is somewhat lost, and this new villain will force him to become the Spider-Man the world needs.
But I feel like Peter would've looked a little more serious if he had just heard someone mention Iron Man's name

It makes sense that Tony Stark no longer appears in this film, since if it's as they say (that Far from Home is immediately after Endsgame) Peter / Spiderman would no longer need a mentor ... in fact, in Infinity War, Spiderman is already an Avenger, so it stops being on trial with Tony Stark.

I know it's not canon but VFX doesn't work that way, and they are clearly not doing very subtle things, so either magical or hypertech. He can still be a VFX artist that got his hands on something that helps him create illusions, it just can't be special VFX, too many people knows it doesn't work that way.

Those things were the Elementals. Basically extradimensional beings who take the form of classical elements. Hellfire (the flame thing), Hydron (the water guy), Magnum (the rock monster), and Zephyr (might be that storm over the London Bridge).

I agree. I think Tony survives and retires for good...but I think Cap will die. I think Thor, Banner, Nat, and Clint all survive as well, but some don't return for the other movies, except for maybe the occasional cameo. Maybe Stark will pop up for a few seconds in every movie like Stan Lee?

When are people going to stop saying “too many villains”?! THERE IS NO SUCH THING!!! You can have hundreds of villains, it all depends on the story. If you have them be connected and share the story in a way that feels natural and makes sense then you can have as many as you want (like having the sinister six be a team), but if you spend all this time setting each individual villain up with their own stories and throw them all in and it doesn’t make sense then it’s a problem. The X-Men has many villains that work with Magneto and it works. Avengers has a bazillion heroes and there’s no problem with that. We want to see as many villains brought to life as possible, because every hero has a HUGH rogues gallery and most of the time you only have a trilogy of movies to show them all off. There is no such thing as too many villains! BTW there is only Mysterio and his elemental creatures illusions (Theory: I assume he is using to get famous as a “hero”), so what are you even taking about? You saw the water creature and rightfully assumed it was Hydro-Man? Ok 2 Villains whoop-de-do, Avengers: Infinity War had 5 villains (Thanos and the Black Order) and 3 villains turn hero (Loki, Nebula and Winter Soldier).
For Spider-Man FFH, it does feel like too much, but I also think that a sinister six is going to come. Think about it, we have vulture, scorpion, mysterio, and rumours of a chameleon. The next 2 I think will be doc ock because he’s the brains of the operation, and possibly green goblin, if they turn the avengers building into Oscorp
I'd seen one comment on a different video about how this would be before Infinity War because Peter's introduction in that movie is on a bus, which could be him coming back (after the plane ride obviously) from the trip. Makes sense because I can't imagine they'd just outright spoil such a thing so blatantly.

Zendaya's character name is Michelle Jones, "MJ" for short. She is not Mary Jane Watson, but she is the MCU's version of the "MJ" love-interest for Peter Parker, which means we may never see Mary Jane in the MCU. I do think we'll see Michelle Jones with red-hair though. Probably by the end of this movie.

She's playing a character named Michelle that happens to have the nickname MJ, which is the only thing I don't really like about this version of Spiderman. I really like the character, but linking her to Mary Jane in such a random way just makes it kinda weird. It also makes it less likely we get an actual Mary Jane later which is a little unfortunate, but they could always bring in Gwen Stacy though so there's that. My personal favorite was always Felicia Hardy though.
Mysterio's powers is basically a reality stone but only visual reality bending. And to me that's a pretty cool power. And strong one. You can literraly make the person insane and use that to your advantage. He's like the scarecrow of the marvel universe

Amy Pascal has confirmed that FFH takes place "minutes after" the end of Endgame. Far From Home is also a summer vacation, whereas Infinity War takes place in spring, so it couldn't take place just before IW. The kids from Peter's school had just been on a field trip in Infinity War, but it was to the Museum of Modern Arts.
It can't be just "minutes after" the end of Endgame because there should be large repercussions to the people involved in bringing back & in people who are getting brought back after the snap. And if they go time travel, that's another set of big problems for the heroes.

No offense, but you guys need to let go of the Mary Jane stuff and realize Zendaya's casting is important and bigger than what a bunch of white comic dudes on the internet want. She's said it, the directors have said it, Tom Holland has said it. She is not Mary Jane Watson, she is Michelle but she is MJ. The MJ is just a nod to the iconic character but Michelle is her own person. Don't hold your breath for a white redhead to appear and sweep Peter off of his feet because his love interest is Michelle aka BIRACIAL MJ and it's time to accept it. Her casting is important for little black/biracial girls everywhere, it's fine if you don't like it or don't "get it" it's not for you. Bigger picture.
The thing about this new Spiderman is there are a lot of nods to the history of the series when it comes to casting but you guys need to accept that it's different and it's more modern to reflect our world and the younger generation today. Like Flash, too. You don't like that he's not your typical meathead jock like he is in the comics (and also probably that he's not white) but he's still the essence of that character. Also I’m curious why you guys find Tom Holland the best Spider-Man, he’s my favourite cast out of all of them but honestly as a hardcore spidey fan I think homecoming was one of the worst. Tom is perfect but they’re not giving the right stuff to work with imo. I’m open to uniqueness and new stuff but when it compromises core parts of a character I have problems.
Imo I think Homecoming is the best movie about Spider-Man (in terms of writing, directing, performances, humor, etc.), but it isn't necessarily a very good Spider-Man movie. Aside from the moment where he has to push the rocks off of himself, his hand is held for the majority of the movie and his actions never really have any consequences. Spider-Man movies (especially about a younger Peter) should have an element of coming-of-age that seemed lacking in Homecoming
Xetren Absolutely a fair point. And for the record I actually really liked Homecoming as a Marvel movie/as a movie overall. But since watching that I played the Spider-Man PS4 game and watched Into the Spider-Verse and realized that Marvel could be doing a lot more with that character than they have. I enjoyed the humor and loved the characters, but overall the movie seemed closer to “generic superhero movie” than any of the more special Spider-Man installments that we’ve seen especially recently. For example, Tony giving the suit to Spider-Man somewhat (for me) takes away from his own unique rise to superhero-dom. Both Toby and Garfield’s iterations felt more earned from start to finish, meaning all their hardships felt more dire because they had no one else to bail them out. And when they win the day, it’s because they themselves rose to the occasion against all odds. I felt a bit of a downgrade in terms of stakes in Homecoming in favor of scale. That’s just me, I actually like all of the 7 Spider-Man movies I just expect more from the 8th now and I personally don’t see that as a bad thing

There is a theory that this Mysterio at one point did tap into and learn some Mystic arts the same way Doctor Strange has. As you can see during the fight with Hydro-man, a mystic type of symbol shows up when Mysterio is blocking the hit, a same look that Doctor Strange has used in other films. Now it all could be an illusion and the work of his chemical and technological abilities, but if we do get a different version, but still similar Mysterio I would so be down for that. If he is actually, or wants to me a good person and help Spidey.

I think the fact the Nick Fury recruits Spiderman and Happy telling him “you’re all alone” is maybe referencing Endgame where maybe most of the Avengers will die/retire. I mean Tony would never allow Fury to recruit a 15 y/o kid who he cares about to go up against the Elementals.

I think this is before Infinity War. Here's my timeline theory: In Civil War Tony was keeping Spider-Man his own secret recruit, the events of Homecoming happened and he was going to reveal himself and do so from the Avenger's compound which now has him on file, he then goes to Europe for his school trip and now officially being on the "S.H.I.E.L.D./Government" registry this is how Nick Fury knows about and is able to find him, he gets home to the events of Infinity War and because he's now officially on the registry is why we see Peter's face show up as missing in the files during the Endgame trailer. Just my opinion though.
