I don't but XCeleste does. You should definately watch her explanation as well. Since she focusses on all the member and group related details and criticisms there's very little overlap between the two. Trust me, the MV is way more personal than what DKDKTV alone can tell you, she knows their history that well. 💜
Actually this MV is mostly sarcasm. Like they once was criticized for using too much CGI in the past even though that's not true at all, in this MV they were like "Oh you don't like too much CGI in MV? I'll give you what you want" " Oh, we're too focused overseas? Here's a song with Korean cultural references" " Oh you hate colorful MV's?" "Oh you hate jk is using auto tune? " " Oh you hate Jimin and V acting cute and wearing childish clothes? " " Oh you hate rm using filters in his live?" " Oh you hate Jin's knees? " " Oh you hate V wearing glasses? " " Oh you hate DNA because their faces appear out of nowhere? " " Oh you hate Jimin for being too pretty? " "Oh you hate BTS for having back up dancers?" " Oh let us create an MV that you(hater) will surely hate and make it successful at the same time "😜
Omg, you're gonna love Spine Breaker! Do that one on a day when you feel like a laugh. 🤣 You should start with a lyric video followed by them making and showing the MV (BTS Gayo episode 15; Rookie King was their first show, then came BTS Gayo and then Run BTS), then DKDKTV's explanation video and then the iconic live performance. That way each step will make sense. 😂👍

This, its a collection of specific nitpickings and hate korean army (and bts) are maybe more familiar than the international branch. I absolutely love both the song and the mv.
Also in the past BTS were said a lot that they use too much green screen on their MV's and actually it wasn't the case. The quality of their videos was SO good that you may think that, but it wasn't true. So they were like, you think we use green screen? OK, we're gonna give you A LOT of it. Haha. I enjoyed your reaction as always!! Love from Argentina 🇦🇷 💜
You know... what the HECK does it matter using greenscreen or not?!? lololol. Imagine complaining about that... THATS what a person has to bitch about?!? That's crazy! Digging deep for them haha I LOVE THE CLAP BACKS. Like bro... you got something to say?? Let me show you my true power haha! Thank you so very much!! I hope you have a wonderful day today! 💜💜💜💜💜
2017-2018 was the turning point in BTS’ career. It was the point where BTS really became to be called “a global phenomenon” and started getting more and more recognition in the west, a feat that no other korean achieved other than Psy and to some extent, BigBang. But unlike Psy or BigBang, BTS continued to push forward into the west, breaking boundaries and records never before seen, until many people started to become worried or even angry at the fact that they were, in their eyes, becoming “too westernized”. They where thrown hate left and right by all kinds of people for many dumb reasons: too much autotune, too much CGI, too much color in their MV’s and so on. But one thing in particular, was that they were criticised by their use of green-screen. People just couldn’t believe their quality of MV’s and their use of practial effects. So what did they do? IDOL was born, a celebration of self-love and their culture through the MV and a response to all the haters that have criticised them up until then. And also, green-screen FOR DAYS!! They made sure telling people that they don’t have a shortage of that!! Straight up BTS behavior! It’s a chaotic MV but in the best way possible, now that the explanation made clear the questions you had. And now knowing BTS more and more by the day, you begin to understand how all of their MV’s have a meaning in some way or another, whether it’s subtle or in your face! 💜
Whenever you react to Spine Breaker just know that you will also need the DKDKTV explanation video to fully understand that as well because of the Korean references.
Thanks for this reaction 💜 Also, yes, they have a song called Spinebreaker and they planned, directed, shot, etc. the MV themselves. There is also a documentary about that MV shoot. I think you'll like it, it's funny as heck.
Right on! I LOVE the name of that one haha. I like how I learn about new videos and songs through the end screen LOLOL Thank you so much for watching like always! I just had this itch this morning to get into Idol more! Am I crazy? Lol maybe
In J-Hope's lyrics he talks about superheros and Anpanman. Anpanman is a Japanese children's character. There are a series of books and shows about the superhero whose head is made of anpan. Pan is bread and anpan is sweet red bean paste surrounded by bread. The stories are about the superhero Anpanman helping however he can--finding lost pets, fighting off trouble-makers, and literally giving himself to help others by breaking off a piece of himself. BTS has a song called Anpanman. Language info. In Korean, Anpanman is Hobbangman [ho-bbang-man]. (Sometimes romanized as Hoppangman). The Japanese word for bread (pan) and the Korean word bbang (빵 ) sound very similar. Many ARMYs recognize pan as the Spanish word for bread--pronounced the same way. The Spanish explorers introduced this new food item to the East Indies along with the word pan. (My daughter speaks Japanese. She filled me in on Anpanman and the Japanese pronunciation and word origin, which my Korean teacher confirmed).
The comment you made during your original reaction to Idol regarding how “trippy” it is went straight and lovingly into my heart as a twenty/thirty year old in the 1970’s! 🤭🙏❤️I purple you 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Spine Breaker is great! A fun thing about Idol- there are only three things in life that are certain- Death, Taxes, and Jimin checking his six to make sure he doesn't kick his soul mate in the face at the end of Idol. Watch for it, it's fast but he does it EVERY time.
Lol the fuzzy blanket rules. About the MV - at the time, they were being criticized for "having too much CGI" in their music videos (they actually used practical effects) and they were "trying to hard to be western artists" so they made this MV to say "TOO MUCH CGI? NOT KOREAN ENOUGH? HERE YOU GO BITCHES" and I still think it's the funniest, most passive-aggressive serve I've ever seen in music I'm sure 25+ other people have posted paragraphs about this before me lol 💜
One of the things I love about BTS is their ability to generate curiosity for every one on what the meanings are in their videos and lyrics. It is so great that they incorporate their culture and it also helps us to learn about their traditions and history. Their “ sarcastic” lessons are done so artfully and it doesn’t come across as being mean or hurtful. Spine breaker is awesome!!! You will love it! They did everything themselves and the behind the scenes is also great. I hope you react to it soon. So much content to share and enjoy! Great reaction!!! 💜👍🏽👏🏽
Now you get it. Good for you to find out everything about your favorite song. Kind of a spoiler, but not really. "Spine Breaker" was a RunBTS complete episode. They were assigned to pick a song and create a full production out of it. Costumes and choreography and set to be filmed as an MV. Check it out. It's fun! Who would your obvious guess who the choreographer would be? Guess again....
Thank you for reacting. I love it that We are learning little by little since some of us esp international fans came late on the fandom. All BTS videos have deeper meanings and theyre very creative and meaningful about real life experiences.
So for a good laugh I would watch this then haha!! I can't wait. This is what I love about my journey I'm free to just jump into random videos at any time. Depending on mood
Spine breaker is awesome. As a curiosity after watching Idol, you might find the ""SAMPLE OF MY PASTA" - A Bad Lip Reading of BTS" by Bad Lip Reading's here on youtube funny to check out on your own time - especially if you don't wanna stray "too far" from bts on your bts reactions. The mv is such a trip, it's an experience on its own, but also in the parody.
