Smite feeling more toxic than others is kind of just a MOBA thing because they're team-based games. Teammates will literally fuck you over on purpose because you missed 1 ability or made one teensy tiny mistake in the first 2 minutes of a match. And muting them doesn't do anything because they can still screw you over with their actions by robbing you of all your farm or purposefully not peeling for you, etc. Meanwhile you can hop on a game like COD, which has WAY more shit talking than Smite does. But all you need to do is mute the other player(s) and most of your problems are solved since even if the shit talking is coming from people on your team, there isn't nearly as much people can do in those games to grief or troll you compared to a MOBA. At the end of the day though toxicity in games is subjective. Everyone experiences it differently. To some people, being screamed at by 5 dudes calling you every name in the book is more toxic than a single teammate ruining an entire 40-minute Conquest and not allowing you to play over something extremely petty.
People walking around in stores really slow or in the middle of an isle or something, being in the way and not realizing is probably one of my biggest pet peeves.
It definitely isn't the same toxicity across competitive games. MOBAs are worse than FPS's all day long. League is the king of toxicity, Smite is worse than basically every first person shooter but it's actually pretty good for a MOBA.
Smite is the most toxic community I’ve been a part of, that includes casuals. There is always some level of toxicity in competitive games but Smite is on another level. It’s supposed to be a game where you have teamwork but people will do their damndest to not play as a team and then blame others.
I feel like smite is more toxic in the sense of most people think that nothing is ever their fault and wanna blame everyone else Ex: solo gets soloed 3 times 5 mins in and acts like it’s the jungles fault even tho you’ve gotten multiple kills in duo and put them ahead and they start spamming that the jungles the problem I feel like it’s a stupidity problem and then people are idiotically toxic if that makes sense
This is in every game tho. Smite, league, rocket league, dead by daylight, paragon, cod, etc. Anything competitive is toxic and so many people think they’re the best player ever so they never take accountability
@@itsWAHOO2012cod and rocket league are usually laid back. Esp warzone and shit. Smite is by far more toxic. As op said… as a jungle main myself i can help mid and duo win lane but solo can throw the whole fuckin game off because he dies a few times and doesnt ward or understand his matchup. Thats a major problem with smite and why so many people either dip or new players quit. The learning curve is enough as is.
@@itsWAHOO2012 most people in cod will be like oops I fucked up but no one in smite ever says that shit at least not random people I’ve played so many competitive games and smite is the only one with a stupid toxic problem meaning most of the issues are people not taking accountability

“Smite community isnt toxic its competitive” UMMM lol. Smite is specifically toxic and mobas usually are in general. CoD, rainbow 6, apex, 2k, madden etc i can go on and on about games that are hella competitive and you wont get spam pinged by a douchebag who has 10k hours and has no life. Theres a diff between being heated sometimes and toxic. I get the tension these games go on for 30+ minutes but some of the shit thats said is ridiculous… rust is toxic too. Ranked is always toxic in almost any game. The fact CASUALS are also toxic is the problem.
@ weaken lol you can tell the dude in chat is Gen Zer complaining about people are bad in smite he never dealt with a cod 4 lobby where people are blasting racist music and/ or try to get people to kill themselves lol
CS rarely has people that intentionally troll games because they're mad though, they usually just be angry and flame. If you jungle in Smite and someone gets pissed, 10/10 times they're dropping your farm and complaining when you're levels down.

The toxic part comes when arena mains think they are good at the game and then go into conquest and have no clue how to build or lane properly

Smite's "toxicity" is completely tame compared to Overwatch, coming from someone who has about 2k hours in both.
