Berkeley has some nice spots, but overall full of homelessness and a lack of public restrooms. Walgreens and Subway don't even allow customers to use restrooms there. I don't care how popular UC Berkeley is. I wouldn't want my daughter going to school in a town like that.

That’s pretty common practice all over the Bay Area. Plenty of people will still love to be there and Berkeley is at more than capacity either way

@SpencerHsu Yes, I'm sure many would still love to attend UC Berkeley or make Berkeley a permanent home. We all have different criteria and perspectives on things. No right or wrong. Choose what's best for you and your family.

The old hippies will stay. They bought homes when it was cheap. Young people not so much. Ran into a bunch of Berkeley people trying to convert my area into another Berkeley.

I lived in Albany and Walnut Creek late 2000s to 2014. Used to go to Berkeley for restaurants. Its definitely worse now.
