The fact that I was conflicted between emotions when I saw both Dazai and Chuuya safe, yet Fyodor die literally 30 seconds later. I was so happy, then I was literally filled with emptiness, like why- just why.

Guys it's Fyodor we're talking about. I don't think he'd die just because he didn't recognize that Chuuya was dressed in his Halloween outfit lol
I believe that the words, which he said at the end, have to do with his ability. He might look pretty much dead rn but that's the point, it should look like the perfect crime scene that pushes him over the cliff of a certain death - he was stabbed, crushed, and burned in an explosion. It is everything that the audience needs in order to believe that he is dead, right? Of course, with the information that we have rn it is difficult to imagine that he is alive but this is the point because it is exactly where his ability will kick in, it's just the perfect timing to showcase a character like him (I mean it's about time we see it anyway) Overall, it's a difficult and complex explanation, a hard to swallow pill for a difficult and complicated, hard to digest character.
Plus, let's not forget that by touching Sigma, he also received some sort of information due to Sigma's ability and it probably had to do with his "death" here. Sigma, on the other hand, fainted because the knowledge he gained was too much to comprehend. If Sigma thinks that Fyodor is that dangerous after he reads his plans, chances are high that Fyodor is not dead at all.
Also just stop for a second and imagine creating a major character who brings complete chaos for 3 seasons...only to have him killed off without giving him any background detail whatsoever lol it sounds ridiculous.
So far Dazai and Fyodor tried to kill each other far too many times and they both lived so I doubt it this is the end. Plus, the mangaka himself said in a recent interview that the manga is far from over so that means that there is plenty to be seen ahead, and as Fyodor is the main antagonist so far I believe he is very much alive.
Honestly I doubt that Fyodor died at all, this was kinda rushed?the fact that all of the problems that started just got dissolved in 1 single episode just feels so off.
The fact that chuuya wasn't even a vampire (is low-key kinda an ahh pull ngl) , there's no way in hell Fyodor wouldn't notice that.
Agreed. There is too much left unsolved for him to die. It's on purpose that we still don't know what his ability is and nobody else does including Dazai and Rampo. We have no idea about where he is coming from and his story as Sigma pointed out when he saw him: he is a mistery. The fact that reading through him with his power made him fall in a coma just so he can't reveal what he saw, and the confidence of Fyodor letting him touch him to see because he knew he couldn't take it. It shows that there is a lot more to him. We've seen that Fyodor was behind a lot of troubles, including at the begining of season 4 during the flashback of Fukuzawa first meeting Ranpo. He has been messing with everyone since even before their story started. And we don't know how and why. (And that was 11 years ago and his appearance hasn't changed unlike all the others) Also, he called 'vampire' Chuuya "Chuuya-san" when they were in danger which I found odd. Why the respectful title? When he was supposed to be a brainless controlled vampire that he could lead? He definitely knew lol.

*Reasons why Fyodor might be alive* (I saw this from other comments, I didn’t think of this by myself, I’m too dumb for that):
*1.* His last words were the same last words of Jesus before he died, only to be resurrected; this is an implication that Fyodor may still be alive, why would they make Fyodor’s last words so specific and not translated otherwise?
*2.* We still haven’t found out what his ability is. And the information Sigma got about his secrets and plots seemed like a lot. It was also shown that in the manga Sigma’s ‘last’ words were something like: “I have to warn the agency(about Fyodor).” Why would they make this sound so crucial and urgent if they were just going to kill him off? What were his plans? It would be kind of dumb if they had Sigma (hopefully) wake up in a panic, only to find that Fyodor is already dead and he doesn’t need to worry.
*3.* Dazai didn’t really seem all that cheerful about Fyodor’s death when I assumed he would be, even Chuuya noticed this and mentioned it to him. Why would they purposefully make a whole entire scene about Dazai not being “snarky” about something for once? It could be that they were trying to show that Dazai respects the fact that Nikolai is grieving, but he doesn’t even look the least bit triumphant, just gloomy. This could indicate that Dazai knows that Fyodor can’t possibly be really dead.
*4.* Why would Fyodor delay taking the antidote? What was the point of waiting until he was in the helicopter? I saw from someone else’s theory that they thought this Fyodor is just a clone created by the book, and he didn’t take the antidote because he knew Dazai was alive and was saving it for him so that the real Fyodor and him could continue their UNO match of only reverses.
*5.* Overall, there’s still so much unknown about Fyodor, it would be a shame to throw away all the information and character development/moments he could have gotten. He’s too much of an interesting villain to kill off just yet, especially in such a ‘lame’ being outsmarted way.

Fyodor was the one person that understood Nikolai's obsession with trying to find true free will and freedom and was Nikolai's only friend. But having connections to people could be considered being chained down because once you have connections, you can't do whatever you want without impacting the people in your life. So Nikolai convinces himself that he can only prove he is truly free by killing his dear friend Fyodor and showing he's not affected by the chains of emotions and attachments. But he does care for Fyodor and even after he is killed, his life is never going to be the same since meeting Fyodor changed it so much and there's no going back to the way he is even after Fyodor is killed. So he's torn between wanting to be free and his connection to Fyodor since his friendship to Fyodor means so much to him but he also wants freedom and in his mind, he can't have both since having people in your life means he has people that might take priority over his sense if freedom and he doesn't want that.

Nikolai and Dazai have many parallels, but one thing they don’t have in common - Nikolai took the card off of his own eye, unlike how Oda removed Dazai’s bandages in his last moments. What I like to think, is simple. Oda actually cared for Dazai and wanted him to be a better person, he’s the one who removed Dazai’s “blindness”. But Fyodor didn’t really care for Nikolai, which is why Nikolai removed his own blind spot.
