I bought a 2015 Avalon XLE last year and it has been a GREAT car. I was concerned at first that I might be uncomfortable because my last car was a Chevy Suburban. However, the car is very comfortable to drive and I averaged 33 MPG on a recent road trip.
I love my 2007, and I'm on the lookout for a new car...test drove a 2015, felt like the cabin was smaller 😔 so I will keep looking. it is still a gorgeous car.
Thanks for the review. I'm going to look for your hybrid Avalon review as I am seriously considering trading in my current car for this for the leg room it offers. I have a mother who now walks with a cane so this car would be perfect.
I got a brand new avalon it's basically a lexus car with a toyota logo, the managers at toyota know it all and compared it to the ls and es models, same car, different logo.
I was actually shocked at the quality, features and performance of this Avalon. If you want a different color than black, get the standard Avalon or the XLE as I did. Same car, but without the phony blue trim. I bought my 2015 Avalon after shopping and comparing Lexus (too expensive), Honda's best sedan (cheap, cramped and crummy) , and finally the Mercedes C class best sedan to it (noisy cramped, impossible to get in and out of) The Avalon is FAR more car in every department.... Handling, speed, acceleration, ( I've blown away 2 BMWs, a Mercedes E-Class, and a Lexus in races), economy ( I get 26 city / 31 highway in the "Eco" mode), roominess, accessories which are standard, great sound system, visibility, and especially the PRICE !!! This is a full-sized luxury sport sedan that gets economy car mileage and it's priced modestly. The Avalon is truly a "crossover" vehicle, combining sports car performance with economy car mileage and luxury car features. Bottom line: I couldn't find any late model used Avalons for sale on the U.S.A. market. Avalon owners buy these cars and they keep them for years, as I intend to do !
I just picked up a 2013 and the cabins are smaller. I’m 6”3 and have a long torso so I just made it in this car.If I buy another it will have to have more head room or I’ll have to SUV it. I do love the car but I would like tighter steering and tighter brakes. I love the seats and the ride it’s smooth. I was disappointed with the stereo. My 1999 Camry had a better sound less boomie.
Very nice review. How does this compare with the Lexus' ES? From my understanding, they're the same car. Does the ES offer many more features? Or is the main difference the branding? Also, why is it that black cars are the hardest to keep clean? I have a white car and basically need to wash it weekly, especially when I go on the highway. I would have thought that a black car would have been the opposite.
It's not the same car, it's just based on the same platform. The interior is very different and the ride is softer, much more quiet due to extensive sound deadening materials. While the Avalon gives you good value for the money, the ES transforms a near-luxury car into true luxury.

i subscribed immediately because of how well u started the video telling ppl what a car has versus what ppl think every car should have. Great review
Oh my god im in love. The color on that Avalon looks BEAUTIFUL... truly mesmerizing, wow.
I love your commentary about bantering and trolling. I agree with you completely.
I have the 2011 limited.. It's very much like a Lexus. Same engine and transmission as the Lexus ES.. Smooth and quiet ride

I like the Toyota Avalon styling a lot, more than the Lexus.
That is a really nice car, love Toyota, baby Lexus! Thanks for the great review!

Is the stock sound system pretty good?
