Have you guys fixed the wireless charging? I have the original version and it doesn't matter what you place on top of the wireless charger, it will show that it's "charging". You put your hand on top of it, the indicator shows it's "charging". I can't tell you how many times I've placed my phone on the charger thinking it was charging because it lit up green only to find out in the morning that it was almost dead. This is a huge problem and should all be recalled and fixed. I've bought many Vaultek safe's but I often feel they're half baked and never receive software updates to fix problems like this that are important.

Do you guys really want an old school alarm clock that badly? Most people wouldn't use it honestly. I get why Vaultek didn't include one. I keep my phone on silent all day but the alarm is still audible. It just works. 🤷🏾♂️
I agree I wouldn’t use it. I think because of the phone chargers that they assume if you’re getting this you probably have a smartphone with alarms of course. I do find it strange they don’t just include it as a feature, but I really don’t see why people need it so bad.
bluetooth 2.0? what year is this? 2004? bluetooth is currently around version 5.3 standard. for something that is supposed to somewhat look like an alarm clock, very surprised that a version 2 still doesn’t have this feature. this was mentioned about the version 1. if the app doesn’t have it, it would be nice to sync the time with the phone or internet time over ntp. no more nonsense with daylight saving time. also, wifi for remote tamper alerts.
Its a gun safe sooo yeah dont you guys already have an alarm clock? Watch? Phone? Little brass clock with the bells? I think its awesome. But what vaultek needs to make, is a safe for storing your pistol with a suppressor. My bedside gun would thank vaultek if they made something for that setup.
No sane person sleeps with a watch on. Phones are regularly on silent in this era. My little brass clock just got knocked over by my hand while reaching for the safe then the safe slid open smacking the clock back into my face. Why make a clock face on the safe if you need more clocks? It's the same price as the mx series with half the storage. Let's keep defending ux churn in the decade of tech innovation decline.
@@PupoT570 i will say anyone with a fitbit or smart watch sleeps with the watch because it helps them gauge and evaluate their sleep... but im not sane i guess so yeah two cents? XP
Agreed. My bedside is a Glock 19 with Rugged Obsidian can in the short configuration. Gunshots in buildings is extremely loud and can be traumatizing for the rest of the household.
It's more the principle: if this thing is going to pose as a regular nightstand clock next to your bed, it should be able to fully function as one, not to mention it wouldn't be a hard feature to add.
@@tiberius183 So people just want it on "principle", what a reason to add costs to manufacturing... It literally is a clock, you look at it and it tells the time. You're right though, it's not hard to add, people can just add an alarm themselves, when they put their phone on top of it, problem solved...
@@tiberius1837 What are you basing cost vs features? Have you seen the cost of their other safes, it falls in line with their pricing. If cost is an issue, there are cheaper brands that will do similar so you don't feel so bad about not having an alarm
Wifi guarantees these days to have a backdoor that will have 2 or more parties being able to access it along with record keeping of when you use it. Screw that shit
Why not make it rechargeable like the smaller ones you have. I know it has the wireless charging capability, but honestly, that's not important. I love the old school clock idea and feel like the wiresless charger takes away from this being a more versatile product. I really hate dealing with batteries as a backup 🤔
That would depend on the size of the handguns, the two full-size pistols shown at the end are larger 5" barrel pistols and still it had room for magazines. The full interior dimensions are listed on the product page. You can find a printout of the interior drawer size here: vaulteksafe.com/support/what-fits/
Exactly..:: I almost bought the first one that came out , and I said to myself, nope wait until the next one with an alarm. Vaultek usually improves over time. I have 4 different safes with them and when this came out and it had no alarm with it I said , nope not this time either. Who is running their quality control there ?
As soon as I got to the Bluetooth I was no longer interested. 100% guarantee there is 2+ parties that can remote access it from afar and also keep a record of the time you use it. Screw that .
Hello, the safe does have fast charging. We will have a video about the charging capability coming out within the next few weeks. Using the USB-C is the fastest way to charge.
I’m sorry, this product does not justify a price of $500 this is actually getting insane with you guys. Not a single major improvement… Even the older version was expensive and I regret getting it. I also spent $1800+$250 on tax and delivery on the Rifle safe that doesn’t even connects to the app, losses service Everytime I log in. It does not fit the accessories like how you guys claim it does. And most definitely does not justify the prices you guys charge. I used to be a fan and be excited to get your product but no more. Your product does not justify its price I’m sorry.
I got two and love them. I’m not sure why people are so obsessed with an alarm clock as if their phone isn’t right there 🤷🏾♂️
Right? Lol

Has lockpickinglawyer assessed?
Very cool! However, I didn’t get the original cause it didn’t have WiFi. Looking forward to the 3.0 version in a few years 😊😢
I’m pissed it doesn’t include a record player

Who needs a suppressor for home defense?
Is it fireproof?
There is not a fire rating.
No clock radio? 😜
Those LEDs look like they could light up my whole room. I think ill pass in favor of better sleep
So then dim them down on the app.
The LED clock face and interior lighting is dimmable and can be switched off.
Yeah but how is there still no alarm clock?
Welp, take my 💸💸💯💯
The amount of people I've seen complain about it not having an alarm is confusing. What's wrong with the alarm on your phone?...

Couldn’t care less about an alarm but it should have had WiFi.
I completely agree! I hate having 2 separate apps for my Bluetooth Vaultek safes and my wifi Slider safe.

No alarm clock is kind of a deal breaker for me.
Has anyone used an alarm clock since 2004?? 😂
Doesn’t look like 2 hand guns fit comfortably. Not enough space for magazines!

More R&d than Quality Control IMHO. And yes, I sent my original back because I really thought the clock was not dependent on my phone/app!
Not worth the upgrade in my eyes. My DS2i works perfectly fine, I will upgrade when a WiFi version comes out though
I think the price is to high
my CPAP has more features than this I feel like this is too expensive for the features you can get adding a standalone iphone charger.

Bluetooth technology can only work within range so any form of remote access or monitoring is not possible.
They just don’t get it.
What I don't get is the fact that is meant to be plugged in and STILL doesn't connect to wifi...
Yeah that definitely doesn't make sense. Especially considering their other safes do.
No wifi, no fast charging, no alarm clock and $500 bucks…. Hard pass…
