I can't even begin to tell you how much I've learned from your channel. When I first found you on here I couldn't catch a crappie to save my life. I didn't even bother trying. Lol. Thanks for your videos richered gene. I fish for a little of everything, don't care what it is as long as I'm fishing. I was out with my 5 year old son today doing some crappie and walleye fishing and I hooked into a 48" musky on my ultralight rod with 6lb test. We managed to get her into the boat took few pics and released it to live another day. Happy to show my kid how to catch and release a trophy fish in are eyes. Thank God for the wonderful things in life.
Great video, Richard. Man, it's hot here in Texas, think we just had our 6th or 7th straight day over 105. Been running heat index of 110 to 115 kinda miserable.
But you know, I've always heard if it wasn't for the rainy days, you wouldn't appreciate the sunshine. I'm bout ready for some rainy days.

I'm with Seth below in the comments, Thank You for all the advice and support on fishing and living the "right" way. I just wanted to point out the advice on the count to catch fish more in the lips then gut hooking them. If more people would learn that fact, we'd have a larger fishery for all to enjoy... Growing up in East Tennessee, in hot, hot, summer weather we used to fall off the side of the boat when we were done or moving somewhere else. Climb back in the boat and ease on down the lake in that breeze on wet clothes. Sure feels nice. You can go pretty slow, too and it's nice. We did that in the Navy in the Red Sea and Persian Gulf, too. Wet our greens and flight deck jerseys and head to the catwalk. Even when it's 100F and you're in the Sun that breeze coming from moving 20mph into a wind does the job when your shop has no AC. Now I've seen hoods that you wet and put over your head and shoulders that work even when there's no wind.
Um. I don't sell any of these but Burcel might. I hope his toe is better…okay.

I love how you are fishing a river that has been damned so you need to evaluate the current or not if they have stopped releasing water from the dam above you. Lots of variables but what a fishery!
