- I work as a Registered Nurse while having a family, and I wanted to share my real thoughts on moms being nurses. Is this a good combination? I give you my real thoughts in case you are pondering nursing as a career choice, and want to hear from someone already in the field.
I cover working shift work as a mom and work life balance because these are real issues when you have a career (in any field) and a family. I'll give you some things to think about so you can make the best decision for your family.

I have family members that are nurses and mothers so it is nice to hear a little bit of what they might’ve gone through from you explaining it here so thank you for sharing.
Heyyy Just_ Tayeee here❤️ Tuned in!
This is my first time watching one of your videos. I found it by searching for nurses that are moms. Most of the videos of nurses they don’t have young kids (most have none). I’m debating going to school for nursing and researching how people make it work with kids. The schedules and home life balance. I am trying to figure out if it’ll work for us.
I love that you bring up not wanting to be a SAHM right now. I totally get that. I’m currently a SAHM and really miss being my own person but i also know I only want to work part-time. I think 2 12 hr shifts would work great for our family.
Thanks for the video!
I’m on the same boat girl SAHM about to enroll for my rn!
@@jazc1741 nice! I’m applying after the fall semester. Wishing you luck!
I think anything is a good combination. Depending on stress level. But you got this Kayla! You’re an amazing mom
That's sweet of you!
I want kids but for sure am nervous with the shift work! ER nurse here in Ontario! I work a DDNN rotation which is nice to have the time off, but i find recovering from the nights really hard! Nervous when kids are in the mix!
Anything is workable with a good support system and some planning ahead!
Oh, PS. That neighborhood you were walking in looked so pretty and kinda peaceful for a neighborhood lol. All the green and some pretty porches! I’m in the desert so our neighborhoods don’t look anything like that! Lol
