My granddad and many other gurkhas were so naive and clueless about where they were and if they'll ever make it home. Finally, their stories are portrayed so beautifully. It’s गोर्खा The word itself derived from "Go-Raksha". गोरक्षा i.e. Protector(रक्षा) of cows(गो)), "raksha" becoming "rakha" (रखा). "Rakhawala" means "protector" and is derived from "raksha" as well.
Went throught the names of the production team. All were Nepali surnames. But the irony is they used the name Gurkha instead of Gorkha. Could've understood on using Gurkha if they were westerners. The only Sad part is that we have been fighting for some one who never appreciate us and always wants our country to be unstable, and even worse are our political leader who are trading our sovereignty. During Anglo Nepal war at least one person from a house had to do the military service which means each of our great grand parents has died to save our land for us and whats happening now?? its really hurtful.

Went throught the names of the production team. All were Nepali surnames. But the irony is they used the name Gurkha instead of Gorkha. Could've understood on using Gurkha if they were westerners. Its our duty to let the world know whats the real word and its pronounciation but instead of that you guys are following their ways. All the best for the film though looks promising.

Nepali Film industry can't make this type of film. We can see more of this type of film in Hollywood. Please somebody should make The Anglo-Nepal War movie in Hollywood. But sadly they won't make it because it's not related to the history of the USA or other European countries. It's about the history of the Great Nepal Kingdom of the Gorkha Empire and nobody in the world cares about Nepal and Hollywood won't make such a movie.
