It would be very interesting to know more about Padre Pio as a boy. There are all sorts of intelligence but spiritual intelligence or Wisdom is logically the highest as it connects us to the Infinite Wisdom of God. Padre Pio was evidently a "Genius" of this sort as testified- like Our Blessed Mother- by his great humility- how could it be otherwise? Anyone with a deep knowledge of God must be keenly aware of their own smallness and ignorance. Pride is a sin of extreme spiritual ignorance - a complete lack of wisdom.
