  • Larry Allen is a freak of nature. A dominant player for the cowboys, he helped Emmett Smith break all-time rushing records. Not only was he a great blocker, but he was the strongest player ever, and could move very well for his size. An athletic specimen.

      No you aren't. I doubt it's still the same cause of all the success that's come out there from rappers to athletes it's probably a chill pad now. The five places you didn't want to be and still kind of don't were the Bronx, Compton, Back side of Miami, South Chicago and Boston. Most to all the 20th century especially 1950 1960-1990 2000 it was bad even Rockland, ME especially the south side was bad. Cities went from being run by the mob to the hood now the Feds, Staties, and local cops cleaned up the mess so it's safe and construction companies rebuilt places so it looks better. At the end of the day if your not from the streets don't move to em you won't last.

    It’s hard to believe that the first time I watched Larry play, he lined up against Reggie White and in two straight plays, Reggie actually lifted Larry up and back with consecutive forearms. I kid you not. I wrote a Larry off until seeing that interception run down. Both Reggie and Larry were just beasts.

    • @mitchelll3879

      Larry was a beast, but generally, the matchup of Eric Williams was better against Reggie White. Eric was larger and taller than Larry. He was even meaner and nastier, and Larry had a hell of a meanstreak. That unfortunate car accident kept him from going to the HOF.

    • @FreewayBrent
      @FreewayBrent 8 месяцев назад

He could of been the greatest RT of all time, he was the only player that could shut down Reggie White. But he was immersed in the night life and ran his car into a wall. Almost died. Came back, and was good, but was never as dominant as he was before that crash.

    For those of us who were in the Superdome for this [Fall 1994] game (just 3 rows from the top from the far end zone of this play unwinding), regardless of who was pulling/cheering for who, we ALL were amazed watching Larry Allen drop down & kick-in the over drive sprint to run down the defender & (unfortunately) prevent the Pick 6! Oh my, Big Man Hauling! Javon Kearse was known as “The Freak”, as I would like to submit that Larry Allen be known as the “OG’Freak”, as he easily is one of the top 5 fastest Offensive Line Guards to play the position.

    You should try to do a video on the greatest lineman to ever play the game somebody that no one really talks about that is Anthony Munoz Cincinnati Bengals. I may be wrong this, He made first team All-Pro 9 times in his 13 year career, Jerry Rice is the only one that has more 10 in 20 years. I even heard he played short-stop for USC, i am not for sure, but a 300 pound short-stop in baseball is something. The late Reggie White said he was the best he ever went up against. Look him up he will not disappoint. I Really enjoy your video's.

      Those were great ones. I've seen them all, Remington, Munoz etc etc. Larry Allan was on a whole different level. Believe me. His strength was legendary, he was a quite unreal one in a lifetime. Think about this: He made the Pro Bowl of course every year as a guard. But the year he was forced to play tackle he also went. Gave up 2 sacks all year. As a guard there were many times i'd see him pancake two players on the same play.
