I am French and I have a friend with SAR-EL who is presently working in Negev. It’s more difficult now but not impossible! I was in Israel by the time of the 1st war wirh Iraq….. I made a great lot of different things! Do try again and again. A lot of French people are volunteers; I remember that in the Gulf war, 600 people only from Nice couldn’t be taken only because there were already too many of them since it requires infrastructure to welcome people.

לכן במלחמה הנוכחית קודם כול עלינו לדאוג שסביבנו באזור הנראה לעין לא יהיו אויבים, אחרת האיום יימשך ויימשך. אבל התוצאה מהמלחמה צריכה להיות שמכאן והלאה כל ישראלי יכיר בתנאים שבהם אנחנו יכולים לחיות בצורה מנצחת: ניצחון הוא ניצחון על עצמך, על המרחק שלך מכלל בני עמך. "ואהבת לרעך כמוך".
תוצאה כזו מהמלחמה תהיה ניצחון על מלא, כי הרחקה פיזית של האויב מאיתנו מוצלחת לשעתה, עד שנתארגן להקים את עצמנו כחברה. והרוח שתהיה בחברה שלנו, ההשתוקקות לחיבור, היא זו שבסופו של דבר לא תיתן מקום למציאותם של אויבים.
כל אחד מהחברה צריך להרגיש את הנחיצות ביחסים טובים, בבהירות המטרה והתוכנית של החיים שלנו כאן. אלו דברים שחשוב שנגלה, נרגיש, נקבל ונממש: תוכנית החיים שלנו היא להשיג חיבור שבו כל הכוחות שלנו יגיעו לכדי אהבה הדדית, תמיכה ושמירה זה על זה.
השכנים שלנו חייבים להבין שאיתנו אפשר להתקיים רק בחברות ואהבה. אלו מילים שנשמעות גבוהות עכשיו, כאילו לא נדבקות לשכנים שלנו. ובכל זאת, זה מה שעלינו להשיג. אומנם כרגע צריך להיות להם פחד פשוט, שאם פתאום הם קופצים בפעולת איבה, עוברים את הגבולות, הם מקבלים על הראש. אבל בסיכומו של דבר אנחנו צריכים להגיע למצב שמלחמה היא בכלל לא אפשרות המונחת על השולחן.
העולם צריך להבין שעם ישראל בארצו מסוגל להביא שלום לכולם. היחסים שנקבע בינינו כאן יכולים להכות גלים בלב כל באי עולם. לכן לא יכול להיות על האדמה הזאת שום דבר מלבד עם ישראל העוסק בחיבור לבבות. אומות העולם צריכות לתפוס שאי אפשר לשבור אותנו, אי אפשר לשכנע אותנו, אי אפשר ללחוץ אותנו לפינה כדי שנסכים לתכתיב אחר, כי יש לנו משימה היסטורית שאנחנו מחויבים להשיגה, ועליהם להניח לנו לעשות אותה ולעזור לנו בה.
לכן למלחמה על הארץ חייבת להתווסף הכרה במשימה שלנו, בתפקיד ובייחודיות שלנו בהיסטוריה האנושית, עם ההבנה שממש עכשיו הזמן הנכון לאשש את התזה היהודית של אהבת הזולת, להתחבר ובהכרח לנצח.
