I remember hearing something once, ‘Yeah, nothing in Alison’s early life explains why she was such a bad person.’ And after watching this video I’m convinced that she acted out because of all these grown ass men kept preying on her.
Going through trauma doesn’t excuse her making victims out of other young ppl

@@phoebe8579 they really missed a golden opportunity here, the one thing I remember was that quote from that woman being like “One of you has been touched by the one Alison fears the most” it’s like they were going to make Ezra A but decided against it :(
I rewatched it all over the holidays and jfc I forgot about so many things. One big thing I noticed this time was that the girls are NOT friends.
Rarely do they even hang out for non-A reasons, each of their love interests usually serves as their "friend" to talk to and work through things with.
And that Aria, my old favourite, is now one of my most hated characters, like God she is very self centred and selfish and would throw anyone under a bus just to get laid.
This is so true and it's such a shame because the rare moments they do just hang out as friends are some of my favourites, I wish we got to see more of it
Maybe they didn't have time to just hang out between school and all the stress of the A stuff. I'm suprised any of them graduated to be honest. And they all needed therapy after their ordeal. BIG time.
Literally the mums are better friends than the girls and we barely see them interact
Totally agree about Aria. She used to be my favorite and I realized a couple years ago I really don't like her lol.
I would never willingly move to Rosewood because seeing all Allison's love interests there's so many predators in that town, good God!

apparently it was when they were on the drive to cape may so the parents didn’t hear them? doesn’t really make much sense when we find out they only met that day 🥴
Archer was also old. He was actually 32. It's unfortunate the trauma from Ali dating these terrible older men followed her into her adult years. Also, I never cared for emison and felt they were forced, especially when they used the whole egg storyline as a driving force into them becoming an official item. I definitely think Lorenzo or someone else completely separate from rosewoods history should have ended up with Ali.
I agree that Alison and Emily relationship was a bit rushed. But at the same time it was the best one. I liked Lorenzo too and if she and Emily didn’t got together than maybe she could have end with him.
idc what anyone says ezra shouldve and wouldve known she wasnt 18. no one with a brain thinks a 14/15 year old is/looks 18.
The Perfectionists isn’t canon to me since it just ended up being a 1 season flop. But either way Sasha Pieterse said in a interview that Emison do get back together so Alison does get her happy ending❤️
Wildens back story makes no sense because in season 1 it is confirmed that he was born in like 1978. He’s 16 years older than her but then when he is revealed as Beach hottie it’s insinuated that he’s around Ceces age (still bad obviously). Wtf is that 30 year old doing with a 15 ish year old?

And how much older is CeCe than the girls again? And is she the same age as Jason or a bit older (like 1 or 2 years?) I forget. I remember reading somewhere that Jason, Melissa, Wren, Ezra, Ian (and CeCe?) Are about 6-7 years older then them.
But then I feel like sometimes Wilden was made to be the same age as Jason etc but other times he was made out to be much older.

Poor Alison. She's been through so much. You can't help feeling bad for her even though she's initially portrayed as the Queen Bitch. Pretty much all her love interests in the show are awful. I pretty much agree with your rankings except I'd maybe switch Toby and Alison to number 2 and Lorenzo and Alison to number 3. I actually agree with you that Alison and Toby had the potential to be pretty cute and given how good of a guy Toby was, it would've been really good for her. I would've loved to see that explored further. Now, Emison is obviously number 1. I loooooove Emison so much. They had the potential to be so amazing but I do agree that the show did not do their relationship right and it ended up being way too rushed. I am super curious to see what their relationship is like in the books. I'm planning on getting the books sometime in the near future and I'm super excited to read the books and see how it compares to the show. I haven't watched The Perfectionists but as soon as you said that Emily and Alison got divorced I got so mad. I can't believe they'd do Emison like that. Emily was obviously the best person for Alison and I'm so pissed that it's all ruined now. Ugh, Emison deserved better. I'll just have to live my Emison dreams in the book when I read them. Also, I do agree that I didn't like how Alison initially treated Emily by taking advantage of her crush on her and heavily implying that she knew she was gay and making her feel ashamed about it. Even so, they did share some cute and sweet moments together which I will cherish always. Love love love them. ❤

Sasha was 12 when the show started filming,so the Halloween episode she is probably 13 or 14.
I have a theory that when Mona said the liars took Hanna from her, that her and Hanna were best friends before she became part of the liars group. I think when Alison stole Hanna away from Mona, that was the spark that started her down the 'A' path.
I think the show did Mona dirty too because after she got help, she saved the liars asses so many times, yet they never gave her the time of day after. All she wanted was to become their friends, but they all shot her down over and over.
Yeah, I think her attempting to kill hannah and torturing them for years might have something to do with it.... you can't expect shit from someone after that lmfao

Maybe they should’ve done wildens dad being the cop that covered up Toby’s moms death and his dad was a crooked cop too and he also didn’t want his dad’s reputation to be ruined too so that why he went with A’s plans and why he ended up a crooked cop just like his dad would’ve been better story telling

I imagine we don’t see so much in flashbacks because even the show runners probably knew that it would be wildly inappropriate for Sasha to be kissing these actors who were in their 20s when she was 12 or 13!
I'm interested in this as a topic and you have some really good points I agree with, but I couldn't finish this video even speeding it up. I think you could do really well if you come in with more preparation and notes, better editing, and more care given handling your mic and sound. I never make negative comments so I wasn't going to say anything but I decided to because I genuinely think you can do a lot better and go far as a creator

Alison starts off as a mega villain. A great one at that but nonetheless she was obviously an antagonist. So it makes sense why people don’t view her in the light of victim hood being that she created so many victims during her reign of terror. Granted Aria isn’t much more likable with the way she centers Ezra over them all or the way she aids in Ali’s tormenting in the beginning (I always think back to that scene before she catches her dad, the other girls at least showed discomfort/friction when Ali would bully people, however Aria laughed right along with Ali at Mona’s expense).
Fun fact: the name Lorenzo is just the Spanish version of Laurentis, which is Italian and usually appears as De Laurentis and not Dilaurentis. Not so fun fact: almost everything in this video. Holy shit, who felt the need to put my girl in the trenches like that? Poor girly, can’t believe they didn’t even let her keep her wife :(

OMG LORENZO was a police before in season one in episode 7 when Jenna’s crying about Toby … Lorenzo goes down her poarch. So Lorenzo was also a police before season 6 and he must be wayyy older than Alison woah ew
