Chris mate, you are amazing listening to your struggles. Not seeing family, I am so proud of you and Meiam for always sharing your real-life stories. My wife and I travel and live in a motorhome towing a jimny. Loving life, but we do miss kids and grandchildren. Love you both for sharing and being real. Regards Duncan and Doreen
Hey it’s Klingey Winner winner 🕺🕺. Thanks guys , your legends . Just saw on your latest vid I have won a $50 prize .so excited . I’ll come do the Salnon with you one day
Luv that your willing to help everyone out, even with a smile and joke. Leave no one in trouble behind is my motto. Luv your spirit and joy fullness. Thank you for sharing. 🎉🎉❤
Steep Point was one of our favourite destinations when we went to WA 10 years ago. Your videos keep making us add more places to our bucket list . We usually watch the new videos with our morning tea cup of coffee - love your happiness - also love the Chev - even though we have a F350 coming very soon! Safe travels!
Did you say F350!? Sorry can’t talk to you anymore 😂😂😂 thanks so much Christine. It means a lot. It makes us happy that you’re enjoying it. Take care 🙏🏼
That was an absolutely first class vid. Fantastic photography and footage, great info and banter... And drop those damn tyre pressures people!! Never been, but now we want to go! Glad you ticked off another bucket list item 💪👌
So excited to watch you guys at Shelter Bay and Steep Point. We head up there in 4 weeks and have five nights on Dirk Hartog Island. Booked this bucket list trip a year ago and CANNOT wait to head north! We love being West Aussies and love how much you both love our state too! ❤
Love the vid guys. Just stumbled across your channel and it is a bloody ripper. Doing a 73 day lap next year and I'll be watching all your stuff for research. And all I have to say about my favourite part of this vid is tire pressures folks, do it right.
What a mission!! We looked at driving in there but didn’t attempt it last year. Definitely the early morning escape & the beautiful sunrise 🌅 for us! Being ex dairy farmers we have definitely witnessed a lot of sunrises 💞
Visited Shark Bay in 2012 with the camper trailer, spent 5 days based at Bottle Bay, absolute perfect spot, then 3 days at Double Beach on Tamala Station where we did a day trip to Steep Point. The turbo charged 1HZ did not like the sand hill climb, we had lunch up the top while the motor cooled down. Looking forward to our next trip camping at Steep Point with the roof top tent.
Good Morning 😊 Please add the correct ⛽ fuel 😂 Thanks for the info on tyre pressures . 🎵🎶🎵 music time 😂🤣 Traffic Jam or Rush hour 😂 Being bogged aint fun 😢 Go Chevy, that's how you do it 💯 Beautiful Camp Spot 👍🏼 The welcome committee's THE FLIES 😂 Delicious Steak 😋Rough Night Mates 😢 Beautiful sunrise 👏🏼 Thanks Legends for an amazing episode , Hats off guys 👍🏼💯 Greetings from South Africa 🇿🇦
Man. I hope you guys are touring close by when we get bogged! I love that you get in and just help people and don't bag them out! Awesome attitudes to life and helping others. Loving the videos and the tips. Cant wait to be on the road too 😊
I enjoyed the hole video as i do each time, great trip to steep point i did it 25 years ago drove from xmass day night though the night, i got there about 10am boxing spent most time asleep and could not get a line in the water to catch a fish, packed leave the same day, to head back home, after watchin your program think may make trip back up there again... thank you ADU..
I’ve got the 4x4, I’ve got the caravan, dam it I don’t have the time of work just yet to do a big trip, the day will come though but in the mean time little trips will do. RUclips videos is all that I watch nowadays so thanks. You hit the nail on the head with tyre pressures, #1 rule is lower the tyre pressures before anything else. Cheers.
Outstanding again! An amazing part of the state, we have been fortunate enough to have been there and going back again next year. False entrance and crayfish bay is a place you should put on you list for when you return. Stay safe guys and enjoy the Gibb. Good onus
We were there last year in late May and headed over to DIRK Hartog for 6 days. It is everything you talked about and more enjoy. We left our van and Isuzu truck at Hamlin Poole and tented from the MUX. Two couples and had a kitchen tent at the homestead campground.
We were staying at Tamala Station when it was open, and did a day trip to Steep Point. Walked a heap of the coastline, and watched so serious land based balloon fishing. I say serious because the waves were climbing the cliff and showering the fishers and their vehicles with salt water. Insane. Also did you see the faultline between DHI and Steep Point. It's visible in calmer waters. At Tamala Stn I took some wild pics of sunrise in WA over the ocean. Only a couple of places you can do that. Lol .
Did it in our boat from Denham, couple hours tops, day trip. Also did Dirk Hartog on a trip prior to that and again from Denham in the boat. Stayed at the lodge then camped up at Whitwell bay at the top of DHI for a week or so. Great spot but bugga driving a 4WD there when in reality you need a boat to enjoy the joint, might as well go straight across in the boat.
As a born & bred Sandgroper for these last 64 years and have lived in the Pilbara- I have never ever been to Steep Point and driven past the turn off to Shark Bay area many times and you know what? After seeing your video- I just have to go now - your informative and very entertaining videos give me confidence to give it a shot🤓 My favourite parts are when you pull over and very patiently rescue Everyone - well done guys - you really should think about painting that beast bright yellow and put some flashing lights on it “Aussie Destination International Rescue” 😝 Thunderbirds are go!
We've done southern point in our younger days. Eastern as we're from Qld and the Cape. Want to do Steep point and fav bit was the track info. Will be a swag trip for us. Love it guys.....
Another super video thank you. More ideas for these International Travellers only 7 weeks to go now. Amusing part for us is tyre pressures, tyre pressures, tyre pressures👍😉 will we ever forget!. Take care for now love from the UK.🥰
Steep Point is on our bucket list... Recently did a trip to the Gampions and the Flinders Rangers but alas we can't stay out forever... :D Are looking at more travels later but at this stage targeting the more known travel destinations... @@AussieDestinationsUnknown
We have planned to go into steep point in April 2024 during our 4 weeks trip. Steep Point has been in my bucket list for a long time. Have watched alot of you tube videos however yours has been the best so far. Love how you guys just get and help others. We just need to work out where to leave the caravan. Some say overlander some say Denham. We have a prado and no all about tyre pressures which will obviously help. Can’t wait for this trip so much has gone into planning and we’ve just picked up our caravan so all preparations are under way.
Going to Shelter Bay in 2 weeks, hope I get through. I will be towing a small hybrid caravan, so going to a little tough. Now, watching this, can you tell me what tyre pressures the white tray back ute have with the white boat on the back have?. To me, far too high, it was dragging the trailer wheels through the sand, not rolling over the sand, far too high. Would go down to 6 to 8 psi on the trailer and 10 to 12 on the car.
Another good trick with the bow shackles is to put a rubber o ring on the pin. I’ve used this trick for years and it stops them from rattling loose but you can still undo them with your fingers 😊
Insane video, that sun rise on your way back from Steep point is breathtaking as Chris would say and we hole heartily agree. Stupid question 🙈 we have no clue how to contact you to claim our gift. Thanx for your hard work Cheers Johnny&Rene
We love how generous you guys are helping others out (literally!) Our Steep Point story hasn’t been written yet, but we’re sooooo looking forward to it in about 2 years’ time. Thanks for sharing your trip with us, for both information and inspiration 😍 @brewsontour
Possibly the worst road we've done in Australia (our son cracked a tooth eating a Mentos on the corrugations😮). We did it in a day trip from Hamelin Stat. Next time would definitely camp and go across to DH. It is one of the most stunning coastlines in WA! So totally worth the road.
You know about 8 months ago i was having a bad day and I was a major moron and moaned about your car building project. Dumbest thing I have ever put on you tube. You guys have the best content. Apologies for my PTSD rant. No excuse, but keep up the good work.
Loving Steep Point videos. Why don’t people lower their Tyre pressures in soft sand including the trailers Tyres. Also using low range makes all the difference in super soft sand. Thanks for sharing a great job. Russell.
Mate I think people are a little scared that they are lowering them too much. As long as they can pump them up a little once they are out of a situation then it’s not a problem.
Just answered my question a little further in, running 20 psi, got to be kidding me. Why are people scared to going down to the 10 psi you set them at, good job.
We tried to get out there just over a month ago, and the day we planned to go the road got closed because of unseasonal rain had hit in the few days before hand 😢 so we missed out
500 odd kms return, bogged etc, versus 20 nautical miles across through Blind Straight from Denham in a hire boat. Why would you drive there? What, you wanted to see Dirk Hartog Island without paying $700 to barge across with your 4WD? Again, you drive past the Ledge on DHI in the hire boat on the way out through blind straight past shelter bay & steep point. It just makes no sense to 4WD out there, when it’s such a short trip in a boat from Denham. 🙄
Tire pressure needs to be at 10lb in sticky situations or burn the clutch out and be stuck for a few days with a $2000 repair bill. There's not much room for error when 4WDing??
Another great episode and its great how Chris tells us all about tyre pressure's and how it makes a real difference. So i hope more people follow this info and keep the tracks moving. Take Care🏖🪰👣🤟😉
