I like this channel because it reminds me shooting guns with my old man; great father and son memories to have. Keep up the great videos and shooting guns with your son!
I bought a Stoeger Coach gun in 20 gauge. I keep slugs in the right, imp.cyl barrel and no.4 buck in the left hand modified side. I mounted a set of fiber optic sights and it's beer can accurate with that slug at thirty yards. It throws a dandy modified pattern at whatever you point that big green front sight at too. It's more fun to shoot than a Red Ryder.

First rifle i ever bought was a stainless 10/22 back in the early 90s. Still have it. Got a Maverick 88 security with 20 barrel and just picked up a 12 gauge Stoeger coach gun for $435 out the door. Best deal i got was a nice Russian SKS with laminated stock and chrome lined barrel for $250 back in the mid 90s.
I only have my right arm, and it was nice seeing you guys shooting one handed, I have a Ruger 10/22, a Mk II that I take apart with one hand. Takes me about 20 to 30 minutes. My carrying pistol a Kimber Ultra carry II 3" BARREL, I love it and trust, bought it 20 years ago.

Good pics, another good video. The Mossberg 500 in your video brings back fond memories of my youth. Uncle had one almost identical to yours with the rib vent barrel. You do not see a lot of short barrel shotguns with that.
Great video again , my aunt started me off in her garden with a Browning 22 , then moved up to a BSA shotgun once I could hit the broad side of a shed . You're shooting with your boy will have some great memories for you both 👍🇬🇧

The Stoeger is my favorite.I enjoy shooting it, but it can be a little tough on the shoulder. But, like my Drill Instructor used to say "Pain is Good, Extreme Pain is Extremely Good". Stay safe and enjoy life.
When I needed a shotgun for deer hunting, the Mossberg was a no brainer. With the rifled slug barrel you can shoot standard 1 ounce slugs accurately to 70 yards and if you have deep pockets sabots give almost rifle like performance. Plus you can get a blackpowder barrel to convert to muzzleloader. As for an actual rifle, you can't beat a Savage package gun. For under $400, you get a nice bolt action with scope that will make you look good.
Another excellent budget firearm video, guys! Sonny made one of the best hominy shots ever when he slugged that #10 can with the Mossberg 500. Too bad the top rail of the target stand on your Craftsman sawhorse got damaged, but that was a small price to pay price for such an absolutely excellent hominy shot. Great video!
Nice video, guys. I do like the way you make each of these videos for a given price range. That way people can see that it is possible to have a nice firearm at a decent price. Thanks again, always a pleasure.
Yessir! Great choice on the intro and outro. That is an awesome clip! Really nice shooting guys. I have to comment again about the editing. Besides the slow motion explosions, which are always cool, you never leave your audience any moments of "dead space". Or even some scenes like your son climbing the hill to get the can, or repeated shots on target with the TX 22 in another video, are sped up. I recognize and appreciate that. I will keep an eye on my local used gun market when I can. Maybe I will find something. 👍 *I have never shot a double barrel either.

I bought my Stoeger Coach Gun at Dicks Sporting Goods (yeah, I know) in 2005 when they were selling for $300. I had a 10% off coupon plus the manager knocked off another twenty bucks after I pointed out a small ding in the wood. Got it for $250! I love deals like that. Hopefully my son and I can put out another budget video in the very near future.

(2) Webley 455 caliber revolver - another tough nut, and it shot 45 ACP in "half-moon" clips ! - $30 (3) German Luger in 9mm - with Mauser crest in like new condition - $45 ! Oh, to hop into a TIME MACHINE, and go back with $1,000 to spend in those days !
Hello Mary. Those were certainly the good old days of buying firearms. In 1990 I bought a Webley .455 revolver, made in 1917, for $69 but unfortunately I sold it a few years later for a small profit. Wish I still had that one.
I love Mossberg shotgun's. I guess no hominy grits today. But I have to remember how it exploded, that was better then shaving cream. Have a great day my 2A friend's! Ruger Rich
I still love Mossberg! but the Stevens got them beat on price! That 1 thing made Mossberg so great was cheap ! 2nd was excellent shooters ~ Now Stevens got them beat on PRICE. Even the older Stevens are still shooting Excellent
It's just as much fun shooting good quality less expensive arms as $2000 arms. I have an XLCR double 20 gauge that is over 100 years old & love shooting light loads in it. It has family history through 4 generations. Good video
@mixup98, thank you for this important video. Many people who are not necessarily "shotgun shooters" still want or need one, and this price puts it within the reach of lots of people. Great shooting and fun video. Love the extra touch with the masks. And of course the Ruger 10-22 is the gold standard.
I need a double barrel shot gun , don't have one of my own . I just picked up a smith and wesson model 64 snub nose, over the weekend, and it was also under $400. But didn't have any time to try it out . Always enjoy watching you guys shooting together, thank you guy for the videos
@@mixup98 I love the Mossbergs as well, but the coach gun is as cool as it gets for me. I am a fan of the cowboy action guns. , so it's cool to see somebody who knows how to shoot them.
Enjoyed going back to the 1st plate and your shooting guys. Sold my Buckmark only because it was such a pain to take down/clean. Smith 22-A replacement was very similar, less money ($300 on Gunbroker) and easy one button take down. Thanks for all the fun today.
Good morning Al. Yeah, disassembly of the Browning can be a pain but on the other hand I love taking my guns apart and cleaning them. Thank you for the comment and we also thank you for watching our video.
@Al Anderson I retired my Ruger Mark 2 Target after my wife bought her Mark 4 Target (and I bought one). Using a 'soft' hammer or mallet to disassemble and reassemble the Mark 2 got old, as did fighting with the pin.
To anyone that is new to firearms... ...get a Mossberg 5xx shotgun. ...get a Ruger 10/22. ...get a Ruger Mk (series) or Browning Buckmark (series) You'll spend less than a quality AR, have redundant weapons, and have them forever and have something to pass down to your grandkids.
@@mixup98 I have all of mine from 1996. All still work great. Have tens of thousands of rounds through them. Yeah, they sure needed a part or two, but they still run like a top.
I agree I have the same double barrel and even though its not all tacticool its still my favorite shotgun. I love the1022 the only complaint I have is the the price to upgrade anything just a trigger group or a decent threaded barrel costs more than the gun did and with the newer ones having a plastic trigger group replacing it with a metal one is the only way to go imo
As of lately, one of the rifles i have fallen out of love with was my Rock Island M14Y. I have just grown tired of re-zeroing it or the malfunctions it seems to have regardless of what ammo you feed it. I shot some Eley Match grade ammo out of it and at 50 yards with a Hawke rifle scope mounted, the best group size i could squeeze out of it was the size of a quarter. That may sound decent but at 50 yards with match grade ammo i expect rounds stacked on top of each other. Went to Route 66 G&A and traded both my Rock Islands for a traditional used 10/22 with a wood stock on it. Been much happier even if i prefer the Marlin Model 60
My very first rifle was a Marlin (Glenfield) Model 60 way back in the early '70s when I was a young teenager. Here is the Model 60 video I did several years ago: ruclips.net/video/zY9yoDQ8OYw/видео.html
Man, that 10/22 TD model is going for well over $400 rn in 2021. I bought one a few months ago, and I recently saw them marked up at the same store for OVER $500!
I bought a 10/22 takedown when they first came out. Got rid of it two weeks later. I have two Russian made TOZ-3 semi-auto .22s that I paid about $125.00 for one and $100 for the other and both are WAY more accurate than the 10/22. I think you are spot on with the Mossberg 500. I have had one for 30 years and it has always performed beautifully. Likewise on the Buckmark. I have the exact same model as is shown in this video and it too is pretty bullet proof as long as you keep it clean. Can't say I understand the allure of the Stoeger. Their guns are pretty poorly made in the first place and why you would want a side by side when you already have a Mossberg is a mystery to me.
Could you make a video entirely about the double shotty? Explaining how to reload quickly, etc. It would be nice for the people who only have that to defend their homes. Greetings from Belgium.
Sir I am feeling very generous today. I’m feeling perty bad that you have to suffer with that old wood furniture on that Mossberg 500 so here’s what I’m going to do for you, I’m going to trade you my light weight modern black poly furniture for that old stuff and since I’m feeling so generous you won’t have to give any money for the upgrade.
We enjoy making our videos and we appreciate you watching them, Donald. Who knows, you might run into us someday and maybe we will sit down for a cup of coffee.
Again, I'm amazed by your videos! A wonderful venue (southern Nevada desert?) with bright sunlight, fun targets, and truly innovative camera set-ups with slo-mo. I don't ever remember being showered with hominy! Secondly, your choice of firearms is really fun, with a Ruger 10/22 takedown in FDE stainless, my first "real" rifle. Keep up the good work, your videos are my favorites!
Being showered with hominy is one of the great joys of life and everyone should experience it at least once in their life. Seriously, comments like yours is the reason we spend hours making these videos. and we thank you, and all of our viewers, for watching them.
To round off this nice assembly of firearms, may I also suggest the EAA Weihrauch 2" .357/38 Revolver, made in Germany? DA/SA, 6-shot and solid like a tank for $320-360.
My first gun was a 10/22 back in 2011/2012ish. Finally got around to modifying it and I dropped a Franklin armory binary 10/22 trigger and I gotta say. It’s the most fun for $300 I think you can get!
Herstal is my ex-employer subcontractor for providing M2 for installing in Helicopter. They build Browning products and US government M4. I owned some old Browning Auto Shotguns.
I have all or similar not the pistol. I really like the 10/22 take down. I have a side by side not that brand. It's a Stevens. Also a Mossberg 500 $99.00 in the box. I still have it. I recently put Magpul furniture on it. That was more $ than the gun.
It's always fun watching your videos. I wish I was there with you. I bought a Buckmark back when they were about $200 and still have it. A lot of fun to shoot and the ammo is cheap too. Keep up the good shooting guys.
I have a Ruger mkII a Ruger mkIV "hunter", and a Ruger mkIV 22/45. Not one of them holds a candle to my 25 year old Buckmark camper when it comes to reliability and accuracy. I enjoy owning and shooting both, but the Buckmark is Superior when it comes to 22 auto pistols.

My Ruger MkIII is a tack driver all day long. Idk why you'd use any other example of a budget .22 pistol other than a Ruger. I got it for $240. My Mossberg 500 jic is amazing, and I'm quite a bit jealous of your wood furniture. I have plans to buy a 10/22 to replace my father's Winchester 290. I'm new to your channel.
First, I would like to welcome you to my channel here on youtube. I have over 300 videos and I hope you get the chance to watch a lot of them. Second, I do own a Ruger MKIII and it will be in a future "budget" video, although these neat little pistols aren't inexpensive anymore.
Love the stage coach gun .... really want one of those and they are always sold out still.
I know man. I had one back in the 90's.....traded up. I'd love to have another one but I haven't seen one for sale in several years
Hang in there John. This shortage can't last forever.
I love Mossberg shotgun's. I guess no hominy grits today. But I have to remember how it exploded, that was better then shaving cream. Have a great day my 2A friend's! Ruger Rich
Hi Richard. Shooting a big can of hominy with a slug just might be featured in more of our videos.
Good video
Lemme buy that 20 gauge 😏
@@younggunner9482 After I'm dead & gone 1 of grandkids might sell it. But if they do I will come back & haunt them. 😆 Great quail gun.
@@billdye3530 lol I was just trolling you man you'd have to be crazy to sell that.
@@younggunner9482 I knew that. 😆 It's gone from Open & Improved chokes to Wide Open & Way Too Open. But still fun at less than 35 yards.
*LOVE* my new Stoeger Coach Gun. It's definitely the Cat's Whiskers!! A hoot to shoot!
Thanks for the video!
You are very welcome Karl and thank you for watching our video. Be safe on the range and have fun with your Coach Gun
I bet the local birds and critters love to see you guys come to the range, they can have a feast after you are done with those targets!
We don't get to see what table fayre Mixup picks up after the critters come out. Just because it is small doesn't mean it doesn't taste good.
My son and I occasionally sit back and watch the little ground squirrels and rabbits munch away on the splattered mess that we leave behind.
I share your love of Mossberg shotguns, presently owning 5 of them. My favorite is my Shockwave Nightstick!!
I love the look of the Shockwave Nightstick....I am extremely jealous!
@mixup98, thank you for this important video. Many people who are not necessarily "shotgun shooters" still want or need one, and this price puts it within the reach of lots of people. Great shooting and fun video. Love the extra touch with the masks. And of course the Ruger 10-22 is the gold standard.
We love October and we also love Halloween. I also like the fact that I can buy lots of Halloween masks and decorations for our videos 👍😁
The stoeger coach gun was the first gun I ever bought. Had to sell it recently to fix my car. I miss it every day
Another great episode for the series.
Thank you Mr. Baker.
I have both of those shotguns. The Mossberg looks exactly like mine, purchased back in 1976. Great guns all!
i love it!!!!!!...there was a video where different rounds were used...awesome...thanks you for the video...
👍😎 👍🤠
I need a double barrel shot gun , don't have one of my own . I just picked up a smith and wesson model 64 snub nose, over the weekend, and it was also under $400. But didn't have any time to try it out . Always enjoy watching you guys shooting together, thank you guy for the videos
👍😎 👍🤠
You have interpreted my feelings about hominy. Well done.
Nice shooting mixup and son. Hard to beat your boys one handers. That Browning shot real good, but the coach gun stole the show.
I'm planning on using that coach gun in another video in the near future.....just for the fun of it!
@@mixup98 I love the Mossbergs as well, but the coach gun is as cool as it gets for me. I am a fan of the cowboy action guns. , so it's cool to see somebody who knows how to shoot them.
@@mikeofmanymikes2630 👍🤠
To anyone that is new to firearms...
...get a Mossberg 5xx shotgun.
...get a Ruger 10/22.
...get a Ruger Mk (series) or Browning Buckmark (series)
You'll spend less than a quality AR, have redundant weapons, and have them forever and have something to pass down to your grandkids.
I like your choices Kev.
@@mixup98
I have all of mine from 1996. All still work great. Have tens of thousands of rounds through them. Yeah, they sure needed a part or two, but they still run like a top.
Cool choices! I just added a budget gun to my collection, it’s a TISAS 1911 A1. A reproduction of the US issue 1911. It was also around $400
Hello Len. I've heard good things about the TISAS 1911 and someday in the near future I'm going to pick one up and do a review on it.
@@mixup98 ran it yesterday and it was terrific
Any day on the range with your son is a great day!
Yes indeed!
Ruger 10/22. Best 22LR rifle on the market. Take down makes it even better
I certainly agree with you there Bob.
love my buckmark accurate and afforable to shoot these days
Your boy is a damn good shot. You taught him well
I like what you can find in pawn shops vs gun stores.
When you have to stop a T-Rex on a budget. 12 Gauge.
Man, that 10/22 TD model is going for well over $400 rn in 2021. I bought one a few months ago, and I recently saw them marked up at the same store for OVER $500!
Your videos make me smile all the way through 😀
Awesome....thank you Tom! 👍😁
Great slow motion shots. The best I've scene on any channel. Big fan!
Awesome! Thanks for the great feedback Robert 👍🤠
I just did a video on my Stoeger Coach gun- it brings a huge smile to y ace to shoot it!
Sounds like a great deal to me, Bill. I will gladly give you the old wood furniture but unfortunately shipping will cost $289.49. 😁😁
@@mixup98 send them the check is in the mail😜😜
Mossberg maverick 12 Ga pump shotgun. It is a wicked strong firearm and is $200. You not get anything better at $200
I definitely agree and I have made at least 4 videos on my son's Maverick 88 shotgun.
Those Stoeger side-by-sides are good solid guns for the money.
Yes they are!
@@mixup98 Sort of like contemporary Stevens 311's.
Great choices for this video, love the coach gun. I also love the LR22 rimfires as well. Thank you for another great video !
Thanks for the great feedback Double L !!
Thank you and your son for making these videos I enjoy them so much I hope I get to meet you one day
We enjoy making our videos and we appreciate you watching them, Donald. Who knows, you might run into us someday and maybe we will sit down for a cup of coffee.
Excellent video. Keep um coming.
Thanks, will do!
@@mixup98 Thanks!🙏
Great video!
Thank you for the feedback and I also thank you for taking the time to watch my video.
I have Mossberg 500's - one in 12 and one in 20, both great shotguns. Love that coach gun, gotta get me one of them!
(😁😁)
Mixup...great photography. Some of those "receiving end" shots are amazing. I think the GoPros must wonder if they'll live to see another day. 😊
It's really amazing how tough GoPro cameras really are. They take a licking and keep on .....recording 😁
Hey, mixup! If you ever intended to release any channel merch, I think "Shut Up and Shoot It" would make for a good shirt design.
My first gun was a 10/22 back in 2011/2012ish. Finally got around to modifying it and I dropped a Franklin armory binary 10/22 trigger and I gotta say. It’s the most fun for $300 I think you can get!
Great minds think alike. I put a Franklin binary in my 10/22 Charger and here is the video I did on it: ruclips.net/video/7CAsjBL3cEs/видео.html
Mixup, just the best. Thanks brother.
Nice! Lucky you can find such great guns without breaking the bank.
Yes indeed, although it is getting harder to find good deals today.
Thanks for another video big man , Always a pleasure .
Thank you Tom. We had fun making this video and we thank you for watching it (and all of our videos).
The Browning is a good pistol I’ve had a few and now a black Camper.
I remember when a Mossberg 500 cost $99. Those were the good old days!
You guys know how to have fun in the desert. Great vid!
A good double barrel is worth its weight in gold. Great video
You need windshield wipers on your go pros LOL. Really enjoyed this video MixUp. That double barrel is awesome along w/Ruger 10/22.
Hey, that's a great ideal. Maybe I can get a patent on a gopro lens wiper 👍😁
Hominy +slug=aerial popcorn
Yes indeed!
I Love These Videos! Great Camera Work, Angles Love The Location as Well!
Thanks Shawn. We have a few more "budget" videos planned in the near future. Stay tuned my friend.
It's always fun watching your videos. I wish I was there with you. I bought a Buckmark back when they were about $200 and still have it. A lot of fun to shoot and the ammo is cheap too. Keep up the good shooting guys.
Thank you Glenn....we both appreciate you watching our videos.
The Browning Buckmark is the 22 pistol people choose, when they realize there are better options than Ruger.
I have that one! The Buckmark...
Old double barrels are hard to beat or just a good old pump shotgun. Gets The job done killed a many deer with shotguns rabbits squirill and dove,,,etc,I got 2 .mosseburges 500 series great all around guns
Great video, as usual boys 👏🏼 💥
Long time viewer. Another great video. Lots of good info. Best value for your dollar. Really like this series. Inexpensive guns gettin it done. Thank you for posting.
Love your channel! When I don't get a chance to go out shooting, I flip on some mixup98 to get me smiling.
Thank you Markus....you made us both smile! 👍👍
A .22 pistol may be one of the most useful firearms you can buy.
Definitely
Honestly my favorite rifle and pistol. Hours of fun IF ammo is around. .22lr FUN
Great video , hope to see more like this . The hominy can was my favorite part . 👍👍
i need a good 22. i have a old 12 gz. and a sw40 cocked and locked for my home protection. great shooting video.
Thanks for watching our video Charles.
@@mixup98 +very welcome+thank you also.
As far as I am concerned I believe everyone should own at least one Ruger 10/22 carbine. Anyways, thanks for watching this video and I hope you enjoy our other videos.
i had a mark2 +never had mark111 but would be nice.
