I’m not a farmer nor a mechanic, yet I enjoy your video’s immensely. The old time NBC intro brought back a nice memory of my youth. I was young but I do remember the conversion from B&W to color TV. The first color TV program I watched was Flipper!
Long time viewer -first time commenter, another great video sir. We are about the same age and I grew up next door to my Grandparents farm in N. Indiana. They sold the farm in the mid 70’s but there is something that ties you to the land for eternity. My 90 year old mother still lives where I was raised and the land is still being farmed. It’s a beautiful way of life that I miss, I admire your courage (Hillary’s too) to walk away from architecture and return to the farm. Thanks so much for your hospitality and letting us tag along with you.
When I was in High School we had several tractors on the farm. An M an H and a WD6 Internationals. Two 8N's and one 640 Fords. A Minneapolis/Moline and a Terra Trac which was a small tracked tractor about 60hp. When I was a Jr. our local International dealer had an old 1950 VAC1 Case that had been sitting on the lot for years and I asked about that tractor every time i was there. He must have gotten tired of me bugging him about that tractor as one day a flatbed pulled into the yard with that tractor on it and gifted it to me. It became a project of love as I had Taken that pile of rust and restored it inside out. I am 67 now and I still own it and one of the 8N's. They became part of me. I know the pride of seeing all the effort put into restoring something. Yours is looking beautiful. waiting for the next episode.
It will be a beautiful tractor. Collector's Edition. Big applause for the precise renovation and renewal. When you're done, you should definitely be displaying this tractor at vintage farm machinery shows. This tractor already looks like it left the factory as new yesterday. Good job. 👍🚜
Your meticulous attention to detail pleases me, Pete. Anything worth doing, is worth doing right! You exemplify that! Henry is still young, but hopefully you can cultivate his interest in your work. He has a tremendous learning opportunity, if he can take interest in old tractors.
I really appreciate your attention to the small retails and that you are getting so much personal satisfaction of restoration to this vintage work of art.
Love JFAF love your old school 'there is only one way to do something and that is the RIGHT way' attitude. Love the old NBC intro. My husband and I look forward to your new videos. Thank you
So what happens when all your tractors are like brand new and nothing needs work for the next 40 years??? What are you going to do then? Clocks again? LOL. Seriously, your work is impressive, educational and just watching you and listening to you is Zen-like. Thank you. I've always wanted to live on a farm, but never could get there. So,, I'm so thankful to have a farmer zen- master, his lovely wife and family + cat on RUclips let me in on the fun and live vicariously the lifestyle in my old age. Thank you so much again!
Wow Pete. What a first rate job you are doing! I would bet that your Dad can't resist coming regular to see your progress on that heirloom tractor. I sure would be. He must be bursting with pride at his son's craftsmanship! We all are! Good job Sir! Regards, Chuck in Florida.
So impressive. It’s a thing of beauty. I hope it is as satisfying for you as it is for us to see this project coming along so well. Looking forward to the next episode
Always appreciative of you letting us sit back and watch how you reassemble these beautiful relics of the Age of Machines. I was born far too late. These might likely play a role in the rebirth of farming among survivors of our current misguided expectations.
I have a clear favourite in terms of your videos: I prefer the animal related ones. But I'll tell you what, Pete. The tractor videos remind me so much of my grandfather who recently passed away (much older than you, don't fret) that I can't help but be drawn to them. I learned to drive on a Fordson SuperMajor 1949 in Atlantic Canada. As a kid I couldn't understand the excitement of tractors (or the tools associated to fix them) but I loved the hell out of my Grandpere. I wish that I could be with him while he worked on his now that I am interested in the same things in my mid thirties. (And listen to the naughty words he occasionally grumbled, which eight year old me thought was HILARIOUS!) Thanks Pete. I appreciate you dearly.
Well Pete I must say that went a lot smoother than I would have thought. I loved seeing it all come together. She almost looks like a tractor again. I love the simplicity of the older styles even though today's tractors have some additions that are necessary. I really enjoyed the video. Hope she runs just as good as she looks.
I don't know why but seeing you untape that freshly painted oil pressure gauge just made me so happy. I had to pause the video to write this comment. Now back to it.
How in the world do you remember where all the parts go. When I was a mechanic I laid everything out in sequence so when I repaired the parts they all went back in the proper sequence? You are a master! God bless, I love your channel. What a guy.!
Pete, thanks for using 4k to present a higher quality video. The Farmall Super C is starting to look like it just rolled off the assembly line. Blessings to you, Hillary and the kids.
I’ve been enjoying the Super C series! I enjoyed the MD series! I enjoy every video you make! Your inspiring me to start my own farm when I get older! Love the videos! Keep up the good work!
Pete, my Grandpa had 1 of these on his farm. When he retired in 1965 was to young to buy the tractor at his auction, 1 of my many regrets as child. Watching you restore this Super C just brings back so many happy memories of seeing that tractor working the farm. Love the job your doing,, keep cranking these videos out as so many people enjoy them. God Bless your family and have a Merry Christmas. Ron Armstrong
I never thought of it until this episode, but I think one of the big things I like about your channel is that you remind me of PBS programs like This Old House that educate while entertaining. So much better than just mindless "entertainment" that serves no purpose. Thanks!
Thank you Pete, for another great video. I like as you say " you have to drop it 10 times, to make it work " ha ha ha- been there done that. Thank you again Pete.
Keeps looking better with every piece that goes on. Slow and steady wins the race. You do awesome work and what makes it better is the fact you are going to use it on the farm. You've given it another extension of life. Getting excited to see it up and running again.
Loved the intro, brought back great memories and of course can’t wait to see the next video on the Super C. Pete keep up the great restoration and the easy way it seems to do it.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I rebuild / restore vintage PENN Reels 100% disassembly right down to the screws. Everything is cleaned and polished to new condition. I’ve always enjoyed restoration all my life from barn door rollers to furniture to carburetors to antique doors -you name. I get excited every time I see a new C restoration vid. This is the coolest thing ever. Thanks for sharing, Pete.
Looking good👌 keep up the great work! Got in our "Just a Few Acres " hat, hoodie, and Howdy Piggers t-shirt!! Supporting our favorite small family farm here in West Central Ohio!!
You’re having way to much fun restoring this tractor. And I’m having way too much fun watching. Can’t wait to see how great she runs once you are done.
Your intro, was very much a very happy memory, as it was the hometown TV station. It has been bought out and moved to Burlington, Vt., from Plattsburgh, NY, because there is much more revenue and profit from advertising to be found there now. It’s the biggest City in VT. Your undoing updates to rebuilding the Super C, is very entertaining to a guy who always loves to fix old vehicles, from lawn mowers, cars, trucks, tractors, snowmobiles, and motorcycles. Nothing useable will be in a salvage yard, unless it is not fixable. This tractors were built very heavy, as they had to be, and if they were maintained to any good degree, they are still alive, and rebuildable, like this tractor is. Even though the life of it was going on, the restoration has added many more years of life to do work, or just enjoy for your family. I did that type of work for many years as my hobby and outlet, but I am no longer able to do it due to pain in my body these days. I enjoy all aspects of your channel, and the information, it provides, but for me it’s the memories of my youth and the work on the farm. Thanks Pete! 😉🎄😊
You are doing a great job of explaining each step. This appears to be so much work and we don't see behind the scenes of preparations. I really enjoy your videos on this tractor and thank you for bringing us along for a very interesting project. This tractor is museum quality and a tribute to tha American Farmers.
Pete I was raised on a dairy farm,an my Dad was a John Deere tractor, an at that time I thought they were thee tractor. But Pete that beautiful RED tractor has really won me over. I think that red color is beautiful! But I do realize there is more to a tractor then it’s color. But I’ve come to realize the red, sounds an runs much smoother.
Pete!!!!! I only understood a fraction of what you were talking about and doing.......but I was highly entertained and enthralled! You are amazing......absolutely amazing. Keep up the "Good Work" Rich from PA.
I enjoy your videos so much. I'm 70 and your videos take me back to my youth and the summers I spent on the farm with my grandparents. I also enjoy how you are so detailed in the restoration of that marvelous old tractor. Please keep up the good work and the videos coming.
That's a job to be proud of for sure! It looks great, Pete! Well done! There is nothing quite like freshly painted parts coming together looking like it was just came from the factory. As others have said, your patient explanations while you assemble things is most pleasant. Thank you for sharing this with us! She's a piece of art!
You are truly a very smart and talented man , but I have to say, your patience and calmness doing all these amazing videos is simply incredible ! Probably a big reason why I enjoy watching your amazing channel ! God bless you Pete and family ! Wonderful RUclips channel to watch !
Your video production is great, and now that you are broadcasting in color, I'll have to trade in my black & white monitor. The restoration is first class all the way....Dave
Looking great, Pete. I love how we all paint the starters black to give the finished project some contrast. I once asked an older gentleman that hauled this era of Farmalls from the plant to his dealership if IH painted them this way. He told me no they didn't that everything was red. I still paint the starter and generator black. Personal preference I guess.
I go back to the 40's for TV remember when there was only one channel. and it went off at midnight. si I'd sit and stare at the blank screen ID bar for hours. hoping something would accidently come on. then they came out with color bars to add to it. It felt normal when I watched the NBC intro came on at the beginning of the video. And Pete 1 the Super C looks great I just love it love it! out of all the things I watch on YT (and thats all day long! ) these videos on the C are the ones I like the most. can't wati for the next one . Just know you bring so much joy to a lot of us "Old Folk" thanks for taking the time it does mean a lot to us/me. God Speed. ECF
I am not a regular viewer on your channel but each time I watch one of your video I am impress of how you are good in everything you do. Really I'm impress. You are really gifted. Has someone says your Dad must be very proud of you. So I'm I.
I'm a groupleader at a popular RV factory and also have an online business I run part time so I'm a very busy man, I don't know how I discovered your channel but just watching you restore a tractor is therapeutic and relaxing for me so I want to thank you for taking the time to make these videos. Yep, a blast from the past! :-)
The first color tv I ever watched was at the firehouse. Dad was a luitenate at the time. University or Illinois firehouse
I chuckled when it came on!

Hello Pete. If the old timers that worked on the assembly line at rock island could see this, it would put a tear in there eye. First class job.
