Just you know, i checked on craft of exile and upto step 5 (step 5 not included) if aiming for all tier 1 the expected cost is 130 div total. Using T2 essences and staying with T2 cast speed the cost goes down to 55 divs. I will be testing all the suggestion from the chat to see what's the most optimal way
Just came across this video (and your channel). Great explanations and really easy to follow along - now to save up the currency to try it out for myself 😅
reforge caster is A LOT better than reforge speed for this... makes it around 50/50 to get cast speed instead of 1/3 that's probably why you get "unlucky" and spent 24div on step 4.
Considering the price of the veiled orb and the cost to get t1 or t2 cast speed you should craft Multimod and Prefix cant be changed for the veiled orb to have a 66% chance of keeping the cast speed. Otherwise nice and clean video
Cool video, but i think for step 6 is better to craft damage over time, since you can block 4 stats and not only 3 with dmg per endurance/etc and they all have same weight
Honestly, 24 divines wasn't even that unlucky. In fact it was likely on the *extremely* lucky end, because there are so many tiers and so many speed modifiers (cast speed, proj speed, and attack speed). It would not surprise me if the average # of tries is much higher than 12, because if you look on craft of exile, T1 cast speed has a very low weighting compared to the other tiers. Even if we limit it to just cast speed, it's about a 1/23. (total weighting of all cast speed tiers is 3.211, and weighting of T1 is .139) But in fact there is also attack and projectile speed, which have total weightings of all tiers of 2.234 and 2.792 respectively. All in all, the total weight of the mod pool with speed tags is 3.211 + 2.234 + 2.792 = 8.237. The weighting of T1 cast speed is .139, which makes it a 1/60 (.139 / 8.237)! The actual probability is a bit higher though, because you can hit it on the guaranteed speed modifier or you can hit it on one of the random modifiers if more roll. But it's not going to be a lot higher than that, which explains why these wands can be so expensive, despite the crafting process being relatively straightforward. After looking through the comments, I'm even more convinced: the video is well produced but it contains extremely inaccurate and misleading information. Another poster came up with the same 1/60 estimate that I did too for T1 cast speed. I think you should take it down because right now you're setting people up to burn currency rather than earn it. There's actually a trick you can do to guarantee cast speed and use much less currency by using the add mod rather than reforge, and then you will need far fewer tries to get your T1 cast speed and the suffixes will be clean, whereas with your method, even if you do hit cast speed, you still have to worry about trash suffixes rolling with your T1 cast speed. I'm sorry if this is harsh but I just think, despite the great production value and good effort on the video, it should be taken down and rereleased with updated information that won't lead to people needlessly losing currency.
@@TheEdMonix Add caster mod. I actually used this just last night in combination with recombinators to get a wand with T1 cast speed, T1 hybrid mana/spell dmg, T2 flat mana, T2 spell dmg, and 5% double dmg. Pretty happy with it! It's not perfect but it's pretty close (I could have spent more time on the recombination step but I didn't mind settling with a mix of T2's and T1's) Just make sure you have prefix cannot be changed and spell crit crafted on the wand before you use that craft, and it's guaranteed to hit cast speed. It may take a few tries to get a decent roll, but it's deterministic. You can't brick the item. It takes a decent amount of divines since the annul step is a 1/3 and each time you fail you have to pay for one or more meta-crafts, but it will get there eventually.
@@brianh5844so to be able to do the "Add" method, you need to end the essence spam with 3 open suffixes right? For multi mod, spell crit, and prefixes cannot be changed? And after the add, it will remove one of the 3, ideally spell crit, and if you didn't get the tier 1/2 you need to annul, again hoping to remove the cast speed and essentially annul/craft until you got the original setup again (multimod, spell crit and prefixes cannot be changed). Is that right?
@@brianh5844how can you have spell crit and prefixes cannot be changed crafted? That would requite multimod crafted too, which would be the last explicit mod for the item, and you wouldn't be able to havest Add caster right?
@@aleperezmoreno2368 Yes it requires multimod, but you annul the multimod before doing the harvest craft. Will likely take a couple tries since it's a 50/50 (annuling the spell crit doesn't really matter since it's cheap to reapply, annuling the pref cannot be changed sucks though)
you dont want to do reforge cuz you dont want to fill all suffixes cuz then you need annul and can brick item and not speed cuz it can get cast speed, attack speed and projectile speed which is 5750/14750 to get cast speed, while with caster its 5750/11750; you want to do add so you have just one suffix and its cast speed and free 2 suffixes spot for veiled orb and craft double damage and double damage while focused, generally crafting isnt easy and im still learning it, but this league i learned so much; i mean this is for profit so after essences you can quit and sell just prefixes and probably get profit
But if you Add instead of Reforge, it will replace the "Prefixes cannot be changed" with the caster mod. If it's not what you are looking for (let's say t2 cast speed), you need to craft prefixes cannot be changed again, scour, and prefixes cannot be changed AGAIN right? If that's what you mean, that method is a little more expensive on average (64 div) than reforge (both than reforge caster (33 div) and reforge speed(55 div)), but it's true that you always end up clean
Why did you put it on private please don't do it again this video was amazing 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I've been trying to find your channel the whole week to ask you to put it back public again
Don't want to be negative for the sake of it but this is just an insane bait. To hit T1 cast speed you're doing 60 reforge speed on average. You saying you got unlucky with 12 is extremely misleading. The wand you get out at the end is worth 140-170d maximum. The average cost to recreate a wand with this method, even if you're correctly using a veiled orb, is well over 200 divines. If you settle for T2 cast speed, the average cost is still over 120 divines, and they're worth 100-120 divines. This is only a profit craft with recombinators, insanely misleading video.
If youre having doubts you can simulate using craft of exile if you think that's the case. That's what I would suggest regardless before committing to this craft.
Nice video - you are planning to do more? In the low budget version you say to optional lock prefix and remove or add crit- just so I learn something, you mean on the harvest bench right? So the chances for that are really low, right?
@@Jumpthepack So I made the "cheap" wand.. but do they still sell? I got really unlucky on harvest-crafting and spend 30d in total hahaha... damn those t1 or t2 speed :D
That's unfortunate. I'm just a small fish in the pond, so I don't believe I'm the contributing factor. Brightside, you can still opt for tier 2 or 3 and make a great wand 👍
I already sold the wand for 180 Divines. But yes, the ones showing for high 200 and 300 Divines more than likely have the enchant. It's still a profit craft from my own experience.
