Without doubt, one of my favourite of Buxtehude’s chorale preludes. This organ sounds really interesting and of course, in your hands this baroque music sounds delightful. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Nailed it Ralph. Lovely registration and a great touch. Your performance is as good as any of the big name Buxtehude recordings that I have. And I have many! Mark
Great playing as always, Ralph. It's a pity that Klaus Beckmann simply changed in bar 51 the bass note g to e in his edition, although the only source, the "Frankenbergersches Autograph", clearly states g. The resulting octave parallel gives this passage a whole new charm. Surely it could simply be a scribal error in the original source, but if no other sources are available, I am somewhat unhappy with the approach of making stylistic changes without labelling them in the musical text. But that's a problem with the edition and not with your, as always, marvellous playing.
I'm a rookie in the organ world and would love to learn more about the small console you to have hooked up to the software, which seems to fit easily in any space in the house. It seems like a great option for someone like me who wants an instrument to practice on but doesn't have lots of space. Thanks for any tips on how that set up works, and how I might purchase the right equipment for it!
Wonderful music dear Ralph, Buxtehude is somehow somewhat calmer and smoother here than we are used to. That's how I feel.
Thanks, Roland!

Thanks, Mark, too much honour of course ;)
@@RalphLooij Nope. You have the touch for some pieces. Simple truth!

I can listen to all of Buxtehude's music any time regardless of liturgical calendar. Well-done, Ralph!
True, time for Nun komm.
What a beautiful registration and fantastic performance! I feel like my soul is becoming clearer! thank you! Ralph 😀💕😀
Thanks, Clara.
Very pretty Ralph. Buxtehude’s personality must have been significantly different from Bach. So free!
Thanks, Rien. Who knows, I now some pretty stringent pieces from Bux and some very free works from JSB. I think they just had their whims ;)
Great playing as always, Ralph.

Ah, I didn't know that, interesting!
Wonderful Ralph 👏👏
Thanks
You're so welcome!🤗
A risk ? No.. a pleasure to hear! And then, Jesus at the Jordan and Jesus in the desert are episodes which follow one another in the Gospels.
Exactly, Philippe.
Vielen DANK 😀
