I find it happens all through life. People move on, have children, find new jobs and change as people and their priorities become different. It’s a lot easier to meet people if your naturally extroverted and neurotypical and have a group still in tact from uni - but if you’re like me (introverted, ADHD) and SPECIFICALLY self employed - it’s a lot harder to click and have enough time, energy and money to meet people regularly enough to become close. London is so sprawling and people need to move to keep decent rents too so that doesn’t help. I’ve also found that as I’ve grown older my tiny flat has become more of an obstacle than I expected - I can’t host my friends comfortably… so me and my husband are looking at buying a property away from London (couldn’t afford here) and we will have to try really really hard there to make new friends. Could be easier than London, but I’m concerned it will be difficult since we aren’t parents and people our age tend to be now. I’m from Edinburgh originally and as a native, a lot of my old school friends didn’t stay there for uni anyway - it’s also a transitional city in my experience too!
I am extraverted introvert. I am very loud and bubbly but secretly I am the biggest introvert loving my alone time :) I don't know if that has ever been and obstacle for me with finding friends. I think in London the problem is that it's so spread out so unless your friends live super close to you you might barely see them. I am not a parent either and that doesn't stop me, I have friends who are and friends who aren't :) Good luck :)
Hey Daria, i just got introduced with your channel as i was scrolling up. And i can totally feel your situation. I frequently visit london for my infertility treatment and staying there for a month completely alone. Hope i end up meeting you anywhere in the city.. lots of ❤
I think it’s got to be way more difficult because of the huge distances to get across London, the expense, and it’s a different culture to Edinburgh. It’s just not cosy. Not walkable. I’m not a fan of big cities.
Hey! I'm thinking of moving to London in the future. Was it difficult to find roommates? Do you usually hang out with them? I might go alone as well, so having friendly roommates would be a great start
Hey Daria🍀✌️. I am going on another trip to London at the end of the month and maybe we meet at the tube or somewhere ☺️. I know chances are gigantic lol but I'll keep an eye out 👁️👀😘. Are still going to the gym or did you change because of the annoying trainer you told us about in a previous vlog? 🫶💪
Oh yah definitely say hi !!! Hope you will enjoy London :) I have been couple of times but I struggle with sleep lately and the only time I can go is morning so it’s been kinda difficult
Your videos are very nice but views per video are very less. If you want I can work for your channel to increase your channel video views and channel subscribers
Lovely!! Thank you for sharing this with us all! Glad you both had a great time! Take care and sending lots of love to you!!
Thank you so much 🥰 I’m on a roll now, already met another girl last week

I found a room quite quickly on spare room but I wasn’t picky. They are nice enough but we don’t hang out much to be honest
