Good Morning. I love this idea and used it myself for a couple of years but just last week I switched back over to a bin and envelope system again. The problem I had is once my die collection grew I experienced ring failure in my binders. I loved that my dies were in a neat and compact storage solution and that it was easy to travel with but day to day use in the binders was kinda a pain in the rear. But then again you are using a different system than I did so my hope is that you have a better experience and that the products are better made than what I was using for this application. Like I said, I love the idea. I hope you have a great day.
@@HeatherscraftyLife I was thinking after my original comment that your binder would also work great as a travel binder for crops or retreats. Just pick out 10 or so pages that you want to use at the event and it is a nice compact and safe way to travel with your dies.
Good luck your new die storage. I bought two mini binders a while back to store stamps. That didn’t work very well but I wonder if I was able to buy the magnetic sheets I could them for my dies 🤔. Thanks for sharing an organization tip.
Hi Heather This was a Fabulous Share!! The way you store your dies is Awesome!! How I store my dies (and I have LOTS) I bought lots of Anna Griffin's Binders with her magnetic sheets and it comes with 10 in them and then I bought extra. inserts and this is how I store all My Miss Emma's Dies and to store the stamps I have that go with her dies is I used 8-1.2 x 11 looseleaf page prtoectors and put the stamps in these and put them next to the die sheet which are all in plastic protector just like yours her binders are large. Then for like my Stamps of Life dies I have 4 binders and have actual loose leaf binders and put the magnet sheets in the protectors and the stamps with them. Tim Holtz Dies which I hae tons are keep in his plastic envelopes and buy the small magnet sheets and keep them there and they are in drawers that are labeled for theme. and then all my BIGZ dies I bought trunks from Michaels they look vintage and I have them stored on a shelf in them and labeled soooooooo its fun to share how we store our goodies...and your share was lots of fun!!! YOU SO ROCK!! Joan Smith
@@HeatherscraftyLife LOL yep I probably have too many but despite the fact I create images all the time for layouts I still do lots of die cutting as well for creating images for layouts.....so in actuality you have plenty LOL I was beyond excited when options came out for ways to store dies then I got creative wiith figuring out how to keep the stamps with the dies....I'm guessing that with your system that they are meaning to have the stamps that go with the dies to be placed on the back of your magnet sheet. TFS you always come up with great ideas for your videos.....YOU SO ROCK!!
Hi! I use the crafter's companion die and stamp storage. Very similar to what you have. It's binders that I can label so I have separated my dies by season/events. I also keep my dies that have a coordinating stamp set together as well. Thanks for sharing...happy crafting!
I so enjoyed this video!! Your organization ideas are awesome and motivating. I store most of my dies on these magnetic sheets I get from Amazon. They are super easy to trim and are not flimsy, which is a plus. I put those magnet sheets in Sizzix storage envelopes. Thank you for another great video!! I’m going to check out your other videos on organization :)
I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! I have a whole playlist of organization videos that are all pretty recent 😊 thanks so much for your comment and for watching!
I use this but the Crafters Companion version, totally love them, I have 7 of the bigger ones and 2 of the small version. The white part on the back is where the stamps would go with crafters companion.
I have the totally tiffany die storage box with pull out boards that fit in my cube unit. you can customize each drawer to hold whatever size dies and however many you need it to.
Great suggestion. I like the idea of this but wish the binder was a little more sturdy because of how heavy the dies end up being. I personally use 2 Artbin plastic storage containers specifically made for thin dies. They make magnet sheets that fit into it. There are only 2 things I don't like about it. 1. I don't like that you have to take out all of the sheets to get to the bottom magnetic sheet. 2. Sometimes the dies move because they are not in sleeves. The magnetic sheets just sit on top of the previous magnetic sheet. I definitely wouldn't recommend traveling with it. It works okay for me but I wish there was something better.
I use the same method. But I use 3 ring zipper binder for mine. You usually see them when the kids go back to school. I bought 8 1/2 x 11 page protectors. Totally Tiffany sells these plastic tubes that go over the rings. I'm not sure if she still manufactures them. If you go out to Scrapbook.com they sell them plus there's photos on how to use them. I hope this helps.
Hi Heather! I like the zipping binder idea but the ease of use seems just a little off with the things you pointed out. Overall it sounds good though. I have mine in a small crate in Avery Elle 5 by 7 pockets on magnetic sheets. I put dividers to sort them by category. It works well for me as I can flip through and they are stored open on a shelf.
I have a rather sizable wood crate box that I made dividers for and have all my dies in that. My shelving cubes are 13X13 and the crate just slides in that easily. I have embossing folders in the same type of crate.
@@HeatherscraftyLife I have them all on magnets IN their packaging and some didn't have packaging worth keeping so I have them in the Avery Elle pockets that Kathryn mentioned. It really does work well but then I have a real dislike for binders hehe. I've been pinched by them!

Thank you so much for watching and commenting! I do agree that this system probably wouldn’t work well for someone who has more dies. 😊
