  • THIS EPISODE - We take a look at the OSEE 21.5" production monitor and see where it stands out and where it falls behind.. but ultimately, does it do its job well? Spoiler, it does. There isn’t a single production monitor on the market today that can touch the features that this monitor has for less than 3X the price.
Special Deal on this monitor!!!! - The team over on the RED Komodo User’s Group on Facebook have managed to secure a special deal on this monitor. So, if this monitor is something you’re looking for, you might jump on it. I’m told its a very limited time - / 241072723442479

Thank you so much for this review. I’m supporting 100% about you said. I own this monitor since 2 years ago and it great. I love it! Could be better? Definitely! But it’s perfect for a production shoot in exterior. 😊

Great video, mine just arrived. Is there a cheaper cheese plate than the one osee makes? €109 is fairly steep.

I was considering these for hmu viewing station for putting a basic LUT to convert log to rec …bright, but not for color decision process.

I've owned this unit for a little over a year and you taught me things about it that I didn't even know. Nice video again, Scott! Quick question, what do you use for the multi-view that you had @ 11:01 ?

Why not combining calibration LUT and CONVERSION LUT in a single file using resolve and just use it for monitoring?

Great review. Does OSEE offer a carrying case for this unit?

There isn’t a carrying case for this one.

No it isn't, but I think even Scott mentioned it, it will fit into a Nanuk 945 case. This is what I use to carry it on set. If you buy this monitor, buy the 945 without the foam because the black foam that comes with it will fit (snug) into the 945.

Can't believe you didn't show ANY clean video feed during that 12 minute review. Must be a poor display quality.

You can't judge a monitor by watching a video where a camera is pointed at a monitor playing video. Way too many variables in the mix to determine quality. So, I don't try to mislead anyone as displaying clean video on it would be pretending and silly. I showed the tools and gave my thoughts, which I gave a very detailed opinion of the panel during the 12 minute review.
