As someone who had the original Tamas back in the day, I love this video! We used to get in trouble for having them beeping in class, but we would just mute them so the teachers couldn't hear and take care of them under the desk.
Want to point out that the baby Tamas are not the fastest at loosing hearts. When an adult Tama gets old it starts loosing hearts more often until its around 25 or so and then they loose hearts every minute or less, until its impossible to keep them alive any longer.

This video is almost 2 years old, so this might have already been said, but the "Left/Right" game isn't entirely random.
You can hammer the left button at a constant rate after starting the game and the Tamagotchi will usually also go left. This also has the benefit of skipping the celebration/loss screen after each guess - continue pressing the left button all through any screen during the game. It might take a few tries to get the mashing timing right. I guess the Tamagotchi starts on left and then goes right after a fraction of a second before flipping back so that's why this works?
Anyway, thought I'd drop a comment to share in case it hadn't been said before. Nice video!

I’m 29🧓🏻♿️👀😭😅; & I shamelessly have told everyone how thoroughly excited I am for the nostalgia & happiness my new Tama 👾 I ordered a few days ago, is going to bring me. I just opened it & my hubby (38) is chuckling at me bc I’m so stoked on it. like listen, I was born in feb of ‘93 (almost ‘92), so this was a staple toy for my generation as a kid. I’m just shy of 30 & I still adore cutesy “toys” like this, plushies🧸, Pokémon, pound puppies🐶 , beanie babies, vhs tapes (yes, I still own & enjoy a VHS player vhs📼 , & a regular ‘ol DVD player📀 …lol), & so many more truly wonderful items we were blessed with in the 90’s.
I will never give up the silly little things that make my heart happy❣️🥹🤙🏼
✨Anyway; super informative, easy to follow, well put together, & fun//cute video!! 👍🏻 thanks so much. 😌

While this is very cute, funny, and thorough, there are some wrong informations in here. For example, not all adults minimum weight is 30. Sickly Nyorotchi's minimum weight is as low as 10. Maskutchi will always evolve into Bill/Oyajitchi as long as it lives to age 10 and was brought up with 0 discipline (regardless of how you care for it). Kuchipatchi has the same requirement as Mametchi in that the teenager must have come from a child with 75-100% discipline. Tamatchi can evolve into Tarakotchi if there are more than 2 care mistakes and discipline is 0-50%. Various other small mistakes and missing details in the video as well. Not bashing the video, I give it a like and will share it around, but just a note to people watching. I've been running 6 pets for months now to test and confirm the inner workings.

Nostalgic moments I'll treasure of back in the 90s at toys r us or Walmart, or on spring break finally getting some quality time with my tamagotchi at grandmas n grandpas. I remember my Tamagotchi Angel more than anything, though I definitely remember getting sick of getting Maskutchi in the original. And I definitely did get Bill at least once, because his real human features weirded me out. Thanks a lot for making this video! I recently bought the special Pac-Man Tamagotchi and have gradually been getting more interested in Tamagotchi as a whole since I got it. I know the original Tamagotchi are quite different from the Tamagotchi nano (the kind I have), but this video was so well made that it still helped me a lot!

To pause your tamagotchi in school press b once and then hold c then a at the same time and it will say “set” and then to get it out of set mode press c once, that’s how you pause a tamagotchi at school. Hope this helps with anyone with a tamagotchi at this time, forgot to mention with a you can change the hour and with a and you can change the minute with b, to get it out of set mode you can press c.

20:48 the higher and lower are opposites. The a button is lower and the b botton is higher :)

Ahhhhh I scolded my Marutchi one too many times and now I don't think it'll grow into a Maskutchi. Drat! Maybe next generation.

i recently got a mametchi with 75% discipline, because my tamatchi literally just would not misbehave. so it's worth noting (at least on the replicas) that you can get a mametchi with only 75% discipline as long as you don't miss any calls. but when he evolved, he did immediately have 100% discipline
