Hi Nicky. We’ve never met but you’re a Godsend to me. Line dancing has been very much a part of who I am for the last 26 years but the class I went to closed earlier this year. I’ve found another class but, as often happens, they know completely different dances so I have to start all over again. I love, and can manage complicated, twisty, “leggy” dances but because I have a vision impairment the steps and turns need to be explained in detail. So last night we learnt “waterfall” and I sat down after the first 8 counts because I didn’t get it. I was frustrated and disappointed but didn’t think badly of the tutor because they’d done it once before and we don’t know each other very well yet. I knew my previous tutor really well. I knew I’d like and be well able to do the dance and had a plan - thank goodness someone had told me about Dancezing. This morning I found it here and within minutes I understood it perfectly. Incidentally, the same thing happened with “winter green” a few weeks ago and I love that dance. You explain steps in a way that I can follow, describe the turns and tell me which way I should face after turning. I’m always disappointed when we learn a dance that isn’t here - I don’t have my secret weapon. Thank you so much and keep up the good work! When I’m in Surrey I’ll be sure to come to one of your classes. Lyn, South Wales.
Hello Lyn - thank you so much for your lovely message 😊 I am very pleased that my tutorials are helpful for you. I have 2 ladies in my classes who are partially sighted & it has certainly made me think more carefully about the verbal instructions I give. Well done for being so determined to keep up with the dances 👏 Let me know if there are any tutorials that would be helpful to you… Happy dancing & very best wishes, Nicky x
@@Dancezing Hi Nicky. In turn, thank you for your lovely message! 😁I think I managed about 3 months without dancing and I’m quite surprise it was that long. I’ll soon be embarking on the challenge of “everyone needs a hero” which is already on the list of your tutorials thank goodness. I’ll let you know how it goes. 😄
