That would probably cost just slightly less then the 11 inch pro, I’d guess intro price at 800-900 for wifi 256 gb. Which would be fine, I’d buy it, but I assume Apple did the math and there wasn’t enough demand to justify, which makes sense. Pro features, pro pricing….
My wish was for Apple to have created a mini iPad Pro. Brought back the iPhone mini And then i could have added a pro Mac mini m4 and had the ultimate mini setup. To go along with my mini budget.
mini budget is not for Apple though that's why they ditched the iPhone mini and if people wants 120hz and OLED, you have to spend big which means more profit for them
I actually traded in my 11 PRO for this one. Even though I’m losing some features, portability is more important to me. And with the trade I only paid $164. Would love a Mini Pro, but this will do for now.

Your content from a scale of 1-10 it would be a solid 20. Thank You for the AWESOME content, Andres! Keep it up, and I'll be here when you hit 1M Subs.
I think the bezels are for holding the iPad since its supposed to be a portable device. Some can't wrap their hand around it the same way you hold an iPhone so the bezels prevent accidental touches.
You make a lot of good points about what Apple could have done Andres. But I think they didn't add more of those features for two reasons: 1) to keep it at a $499 price point and 2) They know the form factor is the reason why so many customers buy the mini vs. larger iPads. Smaller bezels and better performance screen tech will definitely be missed. But Apple doesn't want the $499 iPad mini to be its best-selling iPad. I really think the answer is that simple.
the A17 Pro iPad MINI is the best first time buy portable APPLE tablet if you consider USES on the go. 17:10 Display quality, for x, y, and z 9:55 it's great. Things I like: - reuse 6th gen accessories, - A17 Pro chip brings raytracing (and unlike M-series not a heat monster?). - Apple Pencil Pro, - Camera features enhanced. - USBC 3.1 gen 2 makes a better than mini 6th gen. 2:40 - wifi 6E. - 8 GB Memory, for same $$$ as 6th gen mini 4GB. - improved software with version 18.0.1, Things i may never miss, nor may never want: - SIM tray. - 90-120Hz on USBC. Things that I want: - security updates beyond 7 years. Things I question: - This A17 Pro device has Apple Pencil Pro, so why not all M-series devices with Apple gen 2 and Apple Pencil Pro? - That alternative plug-headed pencil, why? Nothing about it says strategic, smart design, or respect for people buying their first Apple tablet. How did it even get pass a 2nd concept review? Did someone forget the real problem with the first Apple Pencil, its frailty?
I’ve always been a fan of Apple’s Mini lineup. The 13 Mini, Mac Mini, iPad Mini. Not just because they’re compact, but because they’re perfect for those of us who value smaller devices without sacrificing performance. But lately, I feel Apple is starting to treat the Mini lineup as their “SE” version, minimal, but not in a good way. The new Mac Mini 7 is a perfect example. Sure, it’s compact, but it’s nowhere near as powerful as it should be. If we love the “Mini” products, it’s not because we want to compromise. We want small and powerful. It’s time for Apple to rethink the Mini. A smaller device doesn’t mean it should come with lower specs. Let’s keep the form factor we love, but give us the power and performance that can stand on its own.
First of all, good content and well produced video. Good you're honest with what we all think about the screen. So... I'll just have to wait a few years for iPad Mini 8 then, 60hz is no go for me. If it made it cheaper then maybe i could consider it.
I got hold of a 128 Mini 7 and pencil with education discount yesterday . By the time I added apple care it wasn’t cheap. I haven’t opened the box as yet because I’m seriously looking at returning it for a new Mac Mini. With my discount a 16/512 Mac Mini is about the same cost. Why? I’ve got a 2TB iPad Pro M1, pencil 2 and Magic Keyboard and an old 10.5 pro. Both have great displays and much bigger real estate. Given I also have an iPhone 15 pro max 512gb, to me the new Mac mini can replace my M1, drive my studio display (nano) and 27 in 4K Dell as a pair, do all my video editing and more. It’ll also work for years to come. In some ways the iPad mini is an indulgence - a want more than a need. For the next week I’m sitting on the fence and not opening the boxes.
Only the people who used iPad mini will know how useful and powerful the new iPad mini is. Anyway, you guys have made the best video again, keep going 🔥🔥
thank you for reviewing the jelly scrolling issue , i don't understand youtubers like Nikias Molina, he made two videos of 30 min about the new ipad mini and he didn't mention the most known issue about it "if they fix the jelly scrolling issue !!
Very sick video! I’m still debating between this Mini or iPad 11 (if it ever comes out this year) but now I know the jelly scroll is gone and this could be useful
The people who complain about “no OLED,” “giant bezels,” “no Face ID,” and “last year’s chip” are the ones who don’t even buy iPad minis. They wouldn’t pay $699 for “pro” features in a device that’s not meant for that. The iPad mini isn’t for them, so they should stop acting like they’re not buying it because of the so-called “missing” pro features.
@@sergiocampos2056What makes it even funnier is that you’d think Android OEMs would fully take advantage of this since Apple is so slow to update their mini iPads but nope, the high end compact tablet Android Tablet market is basically non-existent today because nobody buys them. Heck Samsung didn’t even bother updating the universally praised Galaxy Tab S9 base model this year due to poor sales 😂
It is the best OLED display I used. I agree though. It needs a 120 Hertz Screen and a Better display. Like the Red Magic released a Gaming Tablet and Gaming Phone. It would work better for streaming.
Even miniLED would have been a much welcomed improvement if it were also 120hz. Personally, I would have been happy with everything we actually got, plus the aforementioned. Any heavy work can be done on my Mac.
Great video bro - quick comment: the jelly scroll is visible in portrait, so the test needs to be done with the lines moving from top to bottom, rather than sideways. I tested the mini 6 back when it came out and it was super visible in slow motion. Personally I barely see it in person and it doesn't bother me
Yes you are right what I needed to do was show the scrolling on that test to see if the UFO moves weirdly. On sides refresh rate should be faster than the other and it should wobble. But it seems to have been fixed. On my iPad Mini 6, its noticeable to my personal eyes when scrolling. Its annoying for some and for others it doesn't matter!
@@andresvidoza you're absolutely right. I did a comparison in portrait more, that's where you will see it (in slow motion). I've never been bothered by jelly scroll but some people legit get headaches and have to put it away. It's a bizarre phenomenon.
I am glad that they left the outside of this iPad untouched. That way all the older accessories will fit. Thank you Apple. Fujifilm does this with the X100. All in all I'm glad the iPad mini is still around. It only represents 5% of all iPad sales. It is the iPad that everyone loves, but nobody buys. This mini will be my third one perfect travelling companion.
I think the jelly scroll had more of an impact on vertical scrolling, not horizontal? I might be wrong. I've looked at the mini 6 in the Apple Store. Didn't seem like a major issue either way. But, to be fair, I don't really notice 120hz on an iPhone or iPad compared to 60hz.
Yo Andres bro, it's a very great video, but at an unusual time. I mean, the usual time is Sunday, but this video upload might be because of the embargo 😊

I still prefer more memory, Apple pencil pro, faster processor, than an oled 120 display. I'd like to see a bigger screen on the same footprint, with smaller bezels. The oled display would make it too expenseive to sell well. They stayed with the same the price, which is also a VERY nice thing nowadays, specially when talking Apple

My next phone will be smaller - 15 Pro Max is too big. As for Apple ecosystem is good to have MacBook/basic iPad with a smaller phone.
This is why I simply have a Z Fold. It's an iPad Mini (with all the "missing" features) and a phone, and it actually does fit in my pocket and can connect to an external display for some "real work."
