Front strap isn't a grab handle by design. it's for flashers (while biking/commuting). Just for clarifications sake. As an added aside, it would be nice if you stated when the bag was made/purchased so that we can know what we're clicking on. If I would have known that this was from 2016, I would not have stopped by. Design doesn't change every year, but the strap size, color ways, pocketing does change sometimes. No criticism here, btw. Just friendly suggestions.
Thanks for the input. Your right about the front srtip, I misspoke. This one is the 2014 version. There's been one update since but it's basically the same pocket configs.
Nice vid and one hell of a review! I’m debating on dropping some serious coin on a Timbuk2 messenger bag. Maybe I might look for a fairly cheap alternative messenger for now... Any bags that you know of come to mind?
Most the comparable ones I know are on the same price range. Depending on your budget Amazon will sometimes sell the Vietnam made bags in certain colors for cheap. I bought that bag for $69 new on Amazon in 2016. I'd say it has been worth the quality jump from a $20-$40 option.
Do you know if the water bottle pocket size changes with the bag size, or are the water bottle pockets all the same size no matter the size of the bag? I have a size small bag right now, and it does not fit my water bottle.
The TPU layer and the fabric are not fused together, only stitched around the edges. I hand sewed every patch to the canvas taking care not to puncture the TPU (to keep the water resistance) I've never trusted an ironed on patch.
Nice review. First time here but I'll be back. Curious, how did you attach the patches? They don't appear to have been sewn along their edges so I'm curious. I think it's a great way to personalize a bag but our local seamstress charges $10 a patch.
I sewed them on myself. The internal TPU liner is separate from the canvas on the outside. So I sew through the canvas only using a hooked/curved needle.
Thanks for the great review, Lucas... Im getting my bag next week :)
Good demo of its capability...but dude, clean the lint from your velcro before filming!
Toilet paper and hand sanitizer, this bag foretold it all.
With all the toilet paper and that hand sanitizer on the side you seen something coming before we did lol

@@LucasRocksFilms nice, thanks
That's an in depth review! Any idea how much weight the strap adjustor will take?
I've yet to have the adjuster fail two years on even with 10+ lbs in the bag.
классное видео. Спасибо

Real nice
Can you carry the bag on both left and right shoulder?
How did you attach your patches? Thermal patches? No stitching? No problem with ironing?

Does the laptop sleeve have a zipper to keep out water
It does not. The version with the sleeve option is a semi-padded divider type piece.
Whats the color of these bag?I cant find it
bag in the review color was simply listed as grey. this bag was from 2016, so that exact color may not be available now.
Great for carrying toilet paper on the go!
the amount you spend on patches could of not only fed but raised an african child
