Your skills as a filmmaker have refined since your previous video on this subject. This takes me back about 25 years to a mentor who described herself as a Hedge Witch who I met as her mail carrier when I was a newbie Pagan. Rae Beth was one of the resources she recommended and although she moved far away and "disappeared", I'm thankful for her guidance and helping me build the foundation of my practice which has meandered but still basically solitary and simple. Thank you for writing on Druidry and Zen as these are paths I have been exploring and looking forward to purchasing and reading your upcoming book on the fair folk

Hello - yes, hedge riding can be seen as astral travelling. You can send your soul out, or you can split your consciosness into being in both worlds at the same time. It's not an either/or situation. You can travel in the Otherworld in physical form as well, with the right shift in consciousness. I talk about doing this in my book, The Path of the Hedge Witch :)

Hedge witch was not coined by Rea Beth. Sorry, but it's an Angelo saxon definition for a Myrk Rider or one who goes beyond the hedge in spirit flight.
Rea Beth made it out like the hedge wytch was a kitchen witch, which is watered down, frankly.
There is plenty of really good information regarding this subject, from historical to contemporary accounts.
Hedge riders walk between the worlds, work with spirits of the dead and land, fly forth by night out of their bodies, mix both medicines and poisons, and henge on Saxon Seidr praxis.

Thank you. Perhaps I should have stated that Rae Beth (spelled Rae, not Rea) popularised the term that came from the Germanic languages and terms such as hagazissa and more (Anglo Saxon, not Angelo). Hedge riders do walk between the worlds and do all the things that you said, and there is a lot of information on this in my book, The Path of the Hedge Witch and the follow-up, coming in 2024. A small ancient woodland in Suffolk, called Captain's Wood. Lots of coppiced hazel trees, and old oaks.
