Jamie, your show just aired on my cable network from October of 2022. I feel bad for all of you that suffered from the flooding. I find it odd and disturbing that the United States has not had any news broadcasts that I'm aware of who have covered the natural disaster of rain and flooding. The news outlets cover less severe issues here and with continents that do not connect to the USA. I have been following all of your shows from the start and I just don't understand why our country would not inform us of your hard times. Either way, I wish you and the family your best, you are an inspiration.

Hey Jamie & James Jr. !!! Why isn't the notifications of your videos coming thru on "RUclips " ???? The only time that we know a video is out is when it shows on YT home channel & NOT your channel !! Anyhows,, Enjoy your videos & Glad Jamie didn't get in the wreck with his ""Rotator"" !! 🤔🙄🤥😌
I was cheap for years and then finally bought a high torque cordless impact for pulling driveshafts... should have done it years earlier. Have a small compact one for caging brakes too with the long 3/4 caging socket. Regular impact won't fit sometimes. I have a dewalt dcf921 for caging but Milwaukee makes a compact one and so does rigid and prob others. 110% worth it
I do not envy you doing that job in those temperatures. It seems every time I had to remove a propshaft in Britain it was raining and I would be soaked. Well done looking forward to seeing the rotator.
I don't mind pulling tail shafts/drive shafts but bugger doing that in the cold...especially in the snow! Then again, you Canadians can handle the cold better than us Aussies! I remember one winter, it was 15° or thereabouts, I was rugged up and there's some Canadian tourists (their t-shirts were the giveaway what nationality they were!)were in t-shirts and shorts!
Sir as a safety precaution when you remove the drive shaft and underload could you not place a strap on it to support it to prevent it from dropping ie a ratchet straps just to the point were it would catch it if it dropped buy tightng it were it was wrapped around it with anough slack to absorb the sudden realese from being under load thanks and merry Christmas to you and your family
Man, I don’t mind the cold weather, it was 8 degrees @ night here a few weeks ago, my hands would freeze up just using that ratchet wrench alone, my hands would become useless as tits on a Boar, having carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands does not help, Jamie, u r the MAN, MAN!! Whoa!!
I had a drive shaft smack me in the face , not fun. i was lucky just a trip to the ER, a few broken .,bones in my face and a few stiches , could have been my time. please always check for pressure on the drive line, be safe.
Jaimie consider running 32 weight synthetic hydraulic oil in your hydraulic systems if not 22 weight if you're going to venture in to more northerly climates. That 46 weight should only be sold in the tropics.
I was in Grand Prairie over New Year’s, years ago and the tractor gelled up. They were going to tow it to their shop to warm up. Went to drop the trailer and the tow driver told me I had to do it in low gear, I didn’t believe him until I tried. At -37 c, grease is like concrete.
Sir, set an outrigger in retract mode, by sending the oil over relief it will heat up faster, no cavitation in the pump or anything that can hurt the system. Just an offer to speed up the warming of the oil
Jami i have a question. If you plug semis in to keep oil warm. Couldnt the same be applied to to the hydraulic fluid as well? Or i would put a switch and tie heaters onto heat and keep tanks warmer.
@@allanj4576 ok but do you think it would help. Im thinking of a heater or similar system to oil thats tied in parrallel for wreckers. Flip a switch for winter and heats both and keep fluids from gelling up. Jami did say they left truck running so if hydraulic oil was heated like engine it would allow them to work
@allanj4576 OH yes. My KW was spec'd with an oil pan heater. You can definitely use em in the Hydro tank but running your pump for some time prior to actually working is best. I had an Artic Fox in my Hydro tank but it will suck the heat right out of your radiator.
This was filmed in Jan 2021, he already got the "LA Rotator", did the whole video on it and is currently in season 11 of Higway thru Hell. Happy Holidays!
@@Graveltrucking In that cold a face diaper actually helps to keep the inside of your nose from freezing. Mine froze in -50 weather and it took years to finally heal.

Is there going to be a update on what happened to the Mack truck
I told them that Breanna thanks for clarifying.

I've pulled them in -35°C before the windchill and it sucks. Last year I bought Zippo hand warmers to put in my mitts. Best thing ever!
Yes it sure was cold here in Quesnel

Jami i have a question. If you plug semis in to keep oil warm. Couldnt the same be applied to to the hydraulic fluid as well? Or i would put a switch and tie heaters onto heat and keep tanks warmer.
Trucks that work in the cold constantly usually just run thinner hydraulic oil, I’ve never seen a system for warming the hydraulic oil.

@andysmith5220 Bottom line is it takes lots and lots of Cash for good dependable service. The radiators only but out so much heat

Jamie, you do a fantastic job under such harsh conditions. I always enjoy watching your show when I see it, which is a lot on the weather channel.
i would like to see old fashioned and modern ways of hooking up a truck to a under-lift
Don't you have an on board hydraulic tank heater ? 120 volt ?
